- I took my CRV to one of my favorite Local Trails to try out my new Lift kit. I installed my new Truhart Lift coilovers. At this time I'm about 2 inches taller than a stock crv. I also included a new vehicle walk around.
New suspension looks great. I like the stock wheels too.
Thank you! I do like the stock wheels with bigger tires look. It’ll be tough if I do find a replacement that it fits the vibe.
Hey! Looks good. March 25th! I'll try to be there.
Hope to see you there!
I'd recommend the truhart grey upper control arms for the front.
I’d like to get them at some point and put my red ones on my other crv.
i used mazda 6 2013 front springs in front and mb w124 front springs in back cutting 1.5 coils. with the largest wire diameters for both.
on stock shock absorbers and suspension. is stiff but works well
Hey. Sick Build! Do the Red Truhart upper arms work with stock suspension? I want to dial in my camber a little better so I don't chew up my kO2's without going to offset ball joints. Thanks, Matt.
Thank you! The red ones work for the amount of lift I had. I flipped them upside down and swap left and right so I could correct the ball joint angle. It also gives better clearance to the frame seam so they don’t get stuck on compression.
I think those tires are perfect. Bigger tires = heavier tires and higher gearing and CR-Vs don't exactly have power to spare.
I did end up going with a 2 size larger tire. Drives great but I do notice on the mountain passes that I have to use 4th gear to keep the highway speeds. Thanks for watching :)
looks good 👍
Thanks 👍
How are you liking it? Thinkning about ordering it for my Crv as well. I too live in Washington
I love the way it looks. I think the lift would be more capable with a subframe drop as I lost a bit of articulation being close to full droop at ride height.
If you are in Washington I hope you come out the meet on 3/25 :)
How do they handle in turns on street? I’m used to coilovers/low better handling but a lift is throwing me off.
They are pretty stiff which is typical for coil overs. I noticed decreased body roll after installing. I definitely don’t drive it like a race car because it’s a little top heavy and the tires have a lot of side wall flex.
If you’re looking for a new tire I could probably get you a deal on some 235/75/15 Firestone AT2 from my job.
Good looking out bro. I’m really hoping to get another set of the k02s.
Dope build! How was the coilover install? Did you adjust the lift before or after?
Thanks bro! I adjusted them before install and lifted it a little more after they were on. I think it was easier than putting the strut spacers on.
Damn you my clock don't work, I'm looking at roof top tents for mine any thoughts, 2000 model same as yours except I'm in Australia. Love the coilovers
Clock must be fixed. They never work. Tents are going to be over max load but I would send it. I’m going to build a custom rack for my other crv so I can mount a tent in it. Thanks for watching!
@LoganJohnsonWA I agree with the weight limits so will likely build the tent onto a 6 by 4 trailer then I can store camping gear in the trailer under lock and key when it's unhitched and set up, so will save on having to fit a rack but a towbar should be cheaper, some coil overs and a lift kit bobs ya uncle.
Frees up the vehicle to explore with and don't have to pack up every time I need to go any where.
That's the thought process at the moment after looking into roof racks weight limits etc
How much travel do these have? Are they the same as stock? Or do they have more travel? And how still do they feel on bumps offroad? Not getting great answers by google search and i want to check if these are really what i wanna buy lol
Hello, I will figure out how to measure the travel and flex my suspension has and make a video about it. This set up is stiff, its fine for off road use and it rides pretty good on smooth highway. Around the city its really harsh on potholes, man hole covers, broken pavement.
I think these really shine on gravel roads with a plus sized tire and low tire pressure.
Im installing a set of old man emu springs on my other CRV so I can compare.
For the price point and amount of lift they give, the Truhart coils are a good value.
sick build! clean n simple
those noisy valves are driving me crazy though haha.
do you know if 215/75 will drive fine on stock suspension?
Thanks bro. I adjusted them and did a wrinkle black on my valve cover after the video was filmed. Those tires will fit stock but I’d recommend the 1.5” rear spacer.
Same here I have 215/75/15 coming In tomorrow I’m all stock
Hopefully I don’t rub
Any problem with the asr skid plates running the pulleys and inside of tires at full lock?
No it clears fine. I did bent it into the pulleys after a smashed a big rock.
Hello ! top ! where can i find the shock absorbers? Thanks bro
If you want brand new stock shocks I would recommend a Honda dealership. Otherwise high quality after market from parts store.
Did you have to drop your subframe when you install the coilovers?
I did not install one. I think it would be helpful and let me lift it more.
@@LoganJohnsonWA coo, I just bought the set up. Getting ready for this Seattle weather.
@@AnhNguyen-ty4cv hit me up on instagram I am going on a day trip with some crv bros
Manual 5 speed? Or the auto can handle 215/75
Mine is converted to 5 speed. The auto will handle it fine if it’s already in good shape.
What’s size tires on stock rims ?
In this video I had 215/75r15 tires. I have since sized up to 235/75r15. Thanks for watching.
Hey Logan just to verify you put 235/75r15 on the stick wheels?
@@kumaSOevllooks like it brotha
