I Purchased Another First Generation Honda CRV!
Просмотров 5773 месяца назад
Welcome to a closer look at my Honda CR-V with some exciting upgrades! This video showcases the transformation with a new lift kit and aggressive tires. First up, I have installed a old man emu lift kit, adding about 1.5 inches of ground clearance plus another inch and a half given by the tires. This not only enhances the off-road capability but also gives the CR-V a better presence on the road...

    Awesome! I live out in the Maple Valley-Black Diamond area and my father and I have done this loop from home up I-90 over the passes and out 410 through Greenwater and Enumclaw a couple times each summer. We've never spent the night though. It can be done in 6 hours if you're determined. I fear though some day that 7037 will be impassible. It slowly gets worse each year, so enjoy it now!

      @LoganJohnsonWA 10 дней назад

      It broke and I parted it out. I couldn’t keep up with both vehicles so I picked to put my effort into the blue one because it was may cleaner and had a better chassis. My black one had some pretty bad hidden frame damage.

    I'm trying to plan a group motorcycle ride over Stampede, some of our members will be coming from SE and some of us are up in the NW. is there camping areas on both ends? I'm wondering if half the group can start at the south end and half start at the I-90 end and meet in the middle. Is the whole pass do able in a day one way or R/Trip?

    People often forget that you dont need a wrangler or a 4runner to offroad. I did it with both. Now I do it with a 2022 Volkswagen Taos with basecamp mods. It actually works really well. Way more comfy for my family than my wrangler was. You actually need to be a better driver to ride a "less capable" offroader. Great video!... edit: I do it in Canada so yeah, snow wheeling is part of our yearly routine for everyone with any car really 😂

    • @LoganJohnsonWA
      @LoganJohnsonWA 11 дней назад

      Absolutely! I have a much more capable truck that I don’t take out as often. Every time I’m amazed by how much easier it is to do basically the same thing. I think that keeps me out of trouble because I’ve been doing it the hard way.

      How’d it go I’m getting mine soon?

    • @AdCab77
      @AdCab77 13 дней назад

      @@teamtoxic5261 I’m not going to lie, getting that bolt out was a real pain. I ended up cutting it off with a cutting wheel on my Dremel and cutting a slot to unscrew it out. Sounds easy enough, well not exactly. It would unscrew to a point and would stop. So I cut another piece off and eventually had it really close and used some needle nose vice grips to get it the rest of the way out. Then you have to deal with the pin to unlock the ignition to get it out. After a couple of hours I made the determination that since I didn’t care about the ignition I was taking out, I would just sheer off the pin. So I pressed down really hard and broke the pin and got it out. Install of the system was easy once the old ignition was out. I had to contort my body a bit to get to the stop switch wire, but that was much easier than the bolt and pin. Just be patient.

    Hey. Sick Build! Do the Red Truhart upper arms work with stock suspension? I want to dial in my camber a little better so I don't chew up my kO2's without going to offset ball joints. Thanks, Matt.

    • @LoganJohnsonWA
      @LoganJohnsonWA 28 дней назад

      Thank you! The red ones work for the amount of lift I had. I flipped them upside down and swap left and right so I could correct the ball joint angle. It also gives better clearance to the frame seam so they don’t get stuck on compression.

    My 1320 catback split on me after less than 3 months. 3 years later I have repaired it 4 times. 1320 would not answer any emails. Hope you have better luck, I will not be doing buisness with them again. I bought the header to go with it as well, it has been fine. Wish my paint looked that good! Does the lift tear up the cv axles faster?

    • @LoganJohnsonWA
      @LoganJohnsonWA 3 месяца назад

      I have heard some mixed stories about their stuff. I’ve had good luck with my engine mounts from 1320. I hope it holds up. I purchased through eBay with their optional 3rd party warranty. It was like $30 and eBay always takes care of their customers. I have a little axle shake after I replaced my front axle with an aftermarket Napa one. It’s not too bad but I wish it didn’t. My paint looks way better on camera. I have a couple more things I want to do with this rig and some paint and paint less dent removal is on the list.
