honestly minifigures of lego are really limiting like you have to distort the shape of lego figs to make them more expressive while mega mini action figures are more poseable so you don't gotta distort as much plus i just like the halo line and wouldn't want to see it as a trapezoid body that only can moves its arms back and fort in an arc unless i get some clay to change the limb shape.
Actually, Lego isn't the original creator of the bricks. They were invented by Kiddicraft and improved by Lego. Even nowadays, Lego copies brick designs from other brands. The 1x5 plate was used by Coby and others way before Lego introduced them. Same for the perpendicular Technic liftarms. Also, there are Lego pieces that are still protected by Lego, like the brackets (at least in Europe).
Lego cant copyright the Brick building system they use because they did not invent it, they stole it 1:21 from Kidicraft, then later bought the company out for cheap when the owner died. The Lego patent was only for the tubes on the underside of the standerd 2x4 brick. Lego minifigures are classed as copyright trademark, they are protected by law in USA, UK, Canada, EU and copys made by other brands cant legally be sold by retailers in those regions. China is not included hence why they make so many Lego design copy minifigures but these can not be legally sold in USA, UK, Canada, EU by retailers. Lego also actively goes after any brand selling minifigures that are similar but not direct copys of Lego Minifigures in protected regions and force them to change there desighns. Brands who minifigures are forced to change in protected regions include Slubam, Oxford, KreO, Bestlock, Mega, Babao, Gudi, JieStar, Woma, Blocktech, Enlighten, Cobi, Zuru,
@@logannewman6166 I dont hate Lego Group I'm just stating facts, Lego was a knockoff clone brand of Kidicraft products they copied everything including base plates, windows, doors, the bricks and entire sets and that is why they could never patent the idea. There patent was for the tubes on the underside of the 2x4 standard brick.
1:03 I disagree because these laws don’t make sense. If anyone wants to be able to make a ferarri car or a minifigure, then a corporation should not be allowed to stop that person from creating a ferarri car or minifigure. These outdated copyright, patent, and trademark laws are designed solely to maximize the profits and stock prices of companies, at the expense of the advancement and freedom of human society.

Yeah, it can be challenging to animate them.
