when I was a kid im 100% certain I felt his hat in one of the bags because the store I found it had the bags hanging on a rack instead of at the counter, but being a kid back then I ofc didn't have much. Still a bummer that I never actually bought it.
It's still my favorite minifigure from my whole collection. So happy my cmf collection will be officially complete till the day they stop making them. 😄
My biggest hope is to see a real Mr. Gold someday. Not own one, but just to see the one of the original 5,000. I still think they could redo the figure in pearl gold in a future series. Give an alternative to the real deal.
I remember looking at the insane prices of Mr. Gold online with my friends in Middle School in 2013. I can still remember saying to them, “People will really pay $800 for a 2 inch tall piece of plastic?” Ironically, now in 2024 I actually own both the Comic Con PS4 Spider-Man Advanced suit minifigure from 2019 & Classic Suit Miles Morales minifigure from 2020 which together are worth about $4,000. My parents got me 3 packs at random in 2013 just because of the hype, just like they would buy an occasional lottery ticket for fun during the holidays, but I didn’t get him & didn’t even bother trying after that because I knew how small my odds were. Also, even though I never got the real Mr. Gold, last year I found my local LEGO Store was selling plain unprinted chrome gold minifigure keychains for $6. I immediately added one to my basket with my other purchases. It’s a nice stand in for the real deal since I know I’ll never own the actual version.
very lucky to have those comic con minifigures! we all wish we could have a mr gold but with there only being 5000, all of us will have to face the truth
@@newmotionbricksHonestly, I don’t even want one at this point. It’s worth too much money & it’s not a character I care about anymore unlike characters from Spider-Man & Ninjago. I’m just glad I was able to find that unprinted chrome gold keychain minifigure at my local LEGO Store as a cheap widely released representation.
Why are people acting like they can't just reprint him but make it one per box It would still be rare but not impossible rare But if they did that people would complain even more
@newmotionbricks but it already served it's purpose Why not celebrate by making it more accessible Why gate keep it to make a few thousands greedy people happy, instead of capitalizing on it and making millions happy

they could easily redo the figure, it's just up to them whether they want to deal with the same situation again
how do you not have more subscribers??
thank you bro
Honestly I rarely comment on videos but that's a great video from a tiny channel so -- keep up the great work man!

@@ComicBoy750 yeah it's pretty cool to be honest
I hate that so many people lost their shit about this and ruined any chances at a similar chance in the future. Mr gold is iconic
it was bound to happen
probably got one lying around 😅 let me go check now!!
could be sitting on a few grand!
Hello fellow Lego Star Wars pfp

you just answered your question yourself
@@newmotionbricks would you want a reprint

How easy would it be to just print your own Mr gold? I don’t care about having THE Mr gold, I just want a gold minifgure even if it’s a knockoff
there are many sites you can buy a replica if you wish
