BMW R60/5 Airhead Engine Teardown - How Bad Can It Be?

Today I will dig into a 50-year-old BMW airhead engine made in Germany. This is a 600cc engine hence the name of the motorcycle R60 /5!
If you watched some of the other rebuilds, this engine actually has a SMALLER displacement over some of the garden tractors in the past. Very funny in many ways.
With that said, I'll take this engine apart, so I can give it another 50 years of life and that means I have to evaluate every aspect of this engine. As this is an On-Road Vehicle I will be specifically picky with sizes and tolerances, as I do not want anything happening on the road!!
Follow along with how I tear this engine down to the bare block and hopefully, you see something neat today. One of the coolest things in my opinion is that the camshaft is below the crankshaft and you hardly see the pushrods underneath those two big cylinders, for the overhead valve setup.
