    I will have mine in a week excited to be getting it! Thankfully I will be getting it through my school included with my tuition so don’t have to wait for it at a store. crazy to hear that it’s still that difficult to get after 2 years.

    love the boat shots. Great color - you have to make a grading tutorial. I have trouble grading the slog3 shots coming from BM...

    I got mine overnighted to me two months ago. Whereas Both of my friends in the industry had to pay $6000 up front and wait seven months for their cameras to be shipped to them.

    Thanks for the review, but a nit-pick: in XAVC-L 4K the FX6 does not shoot in 10bit 4:2:2 but 8bit 4:2:0, making it unsuitable for S-Log3 - I'd shoot S-Cinetone only with that.

      This misunderstanding of a basic functionality of FX6 shows that the guy in the video has no idea what he's talking about.

    I would love to know the parts list you use for the set up in 3:46. Especially with the magic arm attaching the monitor

    I'd say you should lower your teleprompter :)
    And some paragraphs sounds like taken directly from sony marketing materials :).
    I'm a bit concern that handle unscrews itself :o

    I worked with one a couple months back as a cam operator for a crew in need of an extra hand. I really enjoyed working with it but the colors always seem a bit off. Nothing looked true to what we shot. From the external monitors to the digital tech downloading and applying the rec 709 lut on set, it always looked nothing like the what the DP lit.

      You are doing something wrong. Over 30+ years myself in cinematography, and I have not experienced with what you encounter. The tools in inexperienced hands will not performed as intended. (and don't say your DP was experienced, he was not).

    Great looking footage! What lenses do you typically shoot with?

      Hey Johnny, thanks for the kind words! It depends on the project, but typically we use Leicas, Tamron, Sony - they're all solid!

      last question lol but what luts are you using? your grades look super nice! we're about to dive into the sony ecosystem so I want to make sure we're getting that type of color from the start

    So you guys shoot a lot of XAVC L 10bit 422, 1080p?

      Hi Danny, we normally don't but for certain projects where we want a shallower DOF. We recommend shooting that codec if you have to though, it definitely holds up in post.

    what matte box are you using ?

    UHD XAVC-L is not 10 bit. If you want 10 bit 4:2:2 when filming in UHD you need to use XAVC-I

    Super35 mode on FX6 will never be 4k because of the sensor, firmware can't fix hardware limits

    I own the Sony FS7M2 and it takes a great picture but the auto focus is not reliable. I find myself reaching for my A7S3 most of the time when the subject is moving and follow focus is critical.
