Lawn Amateur good stuff man! Also you should get yourself some surfactant. Tenacity needs if you use it as a post-emergent. That way it doesent run off the weed.
Another great video. This is what I’m looking for. I just over-seeded my tall fescue 12 days ago, but I didn’t put down a pre-emergent and I’m seeing a lot of grassy weeds. So I’m just making sure I understood you correctly. If I use tenacity as a pre-emergent…I just water it in about a quarter inch after I spray it? And it won’t hurt the new seeds germinating? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I’m brand new at this..I just started working on my lawn last fall.
Yes you can use tenacity as a pre emergent when you plant your grass seeds it helps fight off weeds while letting the grass seeds germinate. But once the seeds germinate and start to sprout you can't use tenacity anymore because it'll be harsh on the new seedlings. I hope this help thank for your support and good luck 👍🏾
@@LawnAmateur Hi sir. I was wondering if I could ask one more question about the tenacity? If I use it as a post-emergent, does that mean that I use it kinda like a spot treatment as opposed to spraying the whole yard? And spray it where there is no new germination around?

Hi Dawn you would have to look down into the grass roots. Bermuda grass has like a vine growing pattern. Along with narrower grass blades and grow short. While St. Augustine grow taller and has a thicker grass blade and is a little more coarser than Bermuda grass, Bermuda tends to be softer feeling. I hope this helps thank you for watching

I believe my grass type is Tall Fescue. I’m already noticing some weeds germinating with the warmer weather. Should I spray an application of Tenacity over the entire lawn or spot treat? No, its definitely ok to blanket spray with tenacity if you have some if you do make sure you use a surfactant with the tenacity. You can also use a weed and feed if you don't have tenacity. Great question, I normally use a surfactant when I'm using it to just spray weeds so it can stick onto the weed plant alot better but this day I was using this spray as a pre and post emergent and when you're using it a pre emergent its better to not use a surfactant because you're coating the soil to create a barrier layer of protection. are you doing any overseeding
I will definitely be fixing those bare spots
Ha, that was about $2 worth in that one drop... LOL
You forgot the Surfactant...🤘
I normally use surfactant but I wanted pre and post emergent coverage and you're not supposed to use surfactant when using it as a pre emergent. So I sacrificed the use of a surfactant this time around for that purpose.
Hey bro, I planted new Bermuda grass seed 2 weeks ago and my new grass is coming up. I didn’t do any weed treatment.
I was planning on spraying some weed killer today, but I’m afraid it’s gonna kill my new grass. What should I do at this point?
You can use tenacity if you can get your hands on some because it won't harm the germinating grass or you can go to home depot, lowes and get scotts starter fertilizer with weed control. Its a light blue bag. It has the same ingredient as tenacity.
And the last option is to wait until the grass fully germinate and you mowed the lawn about 3x then start to fight off weeds.
Hey Fernando you may want to check into Tenacity on Bermuda grass. I believe it's one of the few types of grass that can be damaged by it.
Lawn Amateur great videos! Thank you
Russell Hicks Tenacity is not good for Bermuda.
Hello Darell my name is Chris I'm also a lawncoholic
What's up bro
@@LawnAmateur love the content 👌 i did my first aplicación of tenacity 1 of May and much good news its killing all of the weeds should I wait 2 more weeks for my second application? I feel like I'm going to have to reseed again 😕 any thoughts?
You mean professional instead of commercial right.
My man. You soaking them. No need to spray so much. Lol
Had to soak them that is a problematic area
Just threw 3 gallons of tenacity down today.

Lawn Amateur big enough.
You have a 5 dollar equipment and is very good quality 😂😂😂😂 ja

🤣🤣. Hey this stuff is expensive.
Where’s the surfactant.
I didn't have one that day but I would normally use one.
My guy swole tho

Oxyclean powder will get the dye right off your hands...Don't ask me how I know...

I bought the 3pc. kit. For the price, I need to see weeds lying on their backs, begging for mercy.
