Most people mix up tactics with formations. This tactic in real life - and it is as basic as it got, as per your own goal - evolved into the first 4231s we saw in the late 00s.
You see it instantly when you look at the AT/SU settings in the midfield and forward lines.

Love the content, while waiting to find out what style this would be, I tried all 3 remaining late last night, the 4-4-2 was a style from 2 FM's ago, finished 2nd 71pts W21D8L5, won the French Cup, lost the Europa League final vs Roma.
My end of season was woeful with fixture congestion, but can't complain as I had a budget compared to yourself!!
