    Nice video! Would you be able to post a video demonstrating how to disassemble/assemble this lens? I’ve disassembled mine in an attempt to fix the autofocus, but am having great difficulties reassembling it.

      I haven't disassembled this lens before, so I don't have (dis)assembly video of it. View my videos about the Sigma 18-125mm, 18-200mm or 18-250mm lenses, maybe they are similar to the 28-300mm lens, so it could help assembling yours.

    does this lens have the mount and canon 90 d? thank you

      This lens in this video has the Canon bayonet, so it can be mounted on a Canon 90D.
      (However this lens was made with different bayonets, so make sure that you buy the one with the Canon.)

    Did you ever come across the aperture flex for this 28-300mm (62mm filter) version?

      There is one which you can buy on ebay. My suggestion would be to remove the bayonet from the rear of the lens, and compare the end of the cable with the cable on ebay to make sure that it is the same.

    Hello, I have the same lens and the AF/M switch always falls out of the housing. Sigma is not able to help and has no spare parts anymore for this lens. How can the swich be fixed to the ring? Thanks in advance for your help and best regards

      If the outer cover is the part which falls out, then I guess a small dot of superglue would solve the problem. I would remove the bayonet mount, and use a small stick to apply the glue. Just a very small amount, so when someone would have to disassemble the lens, they could do it without damaging the switch.

      Disassemble the lens and use alcohol and microfiber cloth to clean the lens elements.

      I have a few assembly videos about Sigma 18-200mm, 18-250mm etc..., they are quite similar, so you can use them to assemble your lens.

    Thanks a lot for the video. Very much informative and inspirational. I request a help from you. I have the same lens with me, but full of fungi. I removed the front element but i couldnt manage to remove the fungi. I think the front element is made up of more than one lens. So, the fungus may be infected between the two front element part. Can you please make a video on how to remove those fungi. Hope you can guide enthusiasts like me....

      Unfortunately, if the fungus is between the two lens element which are glued together, then it is generally impossible to separate them then glue them back together properly.

    • @CamerasLensesEtc
      @CamerasLensesEtc  3 года назад +1

      You have to completely disassemble the lens for that.

      Then you have to disassemble the lens.
      I have a video which is similar, maybe that can guide you: "Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC disassembly for repairing zooming and autofocus problems".
