  • With the AKG Motorsport subframe reinforcements in place, its time to replace the E46 M3 control arm bushings with new spherical Ground Control bearings, replace the differential, and assemble the Motion Control Suspension 3 way remotes with some Eibach springs. We used a press to get the bushings out and an air chisel to knock out the RTABs before installing the diff and suspension.

What steering rack are you using?

      It's OEM

@@ChristinaYLam Thanks. I was considering a Z3 rack on my M3, but observing your driving and the way in which your M3 is tuned has convinced me that it's not necessary.

@@user-ge1gs8tk9s I had the OEM rack in my E36 too which I know many people swap out for the Z3M rack. I suspect the Z3 rack may be more beneficial for autox or tighter courses. I've never tried it so I can't say for certain. Though between the E36 and the E46, I've never found myself wishing for a tighter steering ratio. OEM has been good to me.
