My issue with these people is how they lump hate comments in with actual valid criticism. Its misleading to conflate truly mean messages with people who are genuinely trying to educate you on something that could harm someone's health.
There are different methods of pickling. One way (the easy way) is to use salt and vinegar which is low risk because the vinegar has sterilizing properties. Most store bought pickles are made with vinegar. The other method is fermentation which relies on bacteria to pickle the vegetables. If done wrong, it can make one sick, which is why you rarely find fermented pickles in the market. As a pickle enthusiast myself, i recommend people to make fermented pickles at home and not buy it. It's not that hard to do and you can pickle pretty much everything.
If you want pickles, make them yourself! It has to be one of the easiest things to prepare. You don’t even need to ‘cook’ anything tbh. You need to ‘heat’ the pickling brine but that it about it. Now proper canning for long safe keeping/ no fridge required, that is a bit different.

Same lol. Sometimes I give my dog a but of my apple or carrot just to hear the crunch. People tho nope cant stand it. I hate it when I hear peoples lips smacking and not closing their freaking mouth
We handseal pickles for personal use and none leak, the lid naturally vacuum seals after the jar cools off and it doesn't leak. The lid leaking and not doing the fssst sound when open is a BIG no-no, so we throw them away.
1:47 I hate just about all of the asmr sounds lmao I will never understand why anyone would enjoy hearing that shit. And tbh the whispering is even more annoying to me than the chewing sounds sometimes. When they like overly pronounce each syllable while whispering ugh it drives me insane.
So many Americans can't use their cutlery in the correct order or position. They also tend to chew with their mouths open or speak with food in their mouths. It's so off-putting. I heard from a Buckhingham Palace Butler that there have been times when the late Queen and family members were forced to ignore some really sketchy table manners. Yeach!
If I were invited to Buckingham for a meal, I would be studying up on manners 😂 I am not great at home with them but to go visit the queen in her ‘home’ and having more than a knife/fork/spoon, I would have no idea!
I still don't understand why people are buying food off the internet, and for such a steep price! If you want to buy food from a small business, go find a *local* small business selling food. Make an adventure out of it, if you feel the need. Gez...
Pickles that are bought in store are air sealed but once you open them you need to consume them quickly, so my question is: how long did it take in between her putting the pickle in the bottles to when it arrives? Because they propably weren't sent in proper package so these are true health hazard
This guy is so cute aww his dimples are adorable, what a lovely smile! Enjoyed this video. Nice to have a video with no swearing, positive energy and a fair view. Gonna sub. And I agree; Keith's apology was great. Direct, concise and real!
I’m not sure how it works in California, but in Colorado you can go onto Colorado Secretary of State and view wether or not someone’s business is actually registered with the state. I think you can also look up their licensing but I’ve never done it.
Isn't illegal to lie that you have a license to sell food products when you don't have the license? I think pickleme deserves some time in prison if it's illegal or anything else she has done when selling pickles.
I'm from a place where pickles are being home-made every season. So: WTF do you mean "hand sealed"? That's not how it works. They NEED pressure to stay edible for a long time which is, you know, the entire point of pickling/preserving? If the container is not sealed properly it will not pickle properly and will probably mold before the whole process is completed. Unless you keep it in the fridge, in which case - WTF are you doing? Stop.
I have an Etsy shop. Yet somehow my Etsy shop of PAINTINGS is working hard for any and all sales but yet this woman is literally (possibly) poisoning people and she has almost $10,000 sales.
There was a short story about this. Well, not this exactly, but it was about a dude who time travelled to today and wound up selling artisanal pickles to hippies while living in a hipster art space, and he wound up getting busted by something like the FDA for not following proper food safety rules. Does anyone know the book I’m on about? It was super depressing lol
How do people get away with this stuff? Did we just give up on food safty like even if these people wanted to buy the products why is the state not involved?
I've made pickled radish, and it's so easy. Like canning/pickling at home is easier/customizable amd prolly much more sanitary than buying from a stranger online.

ok, so who in the 9 hells is wanting to pay 20 dollars for pickles, let alone 40?
I remember my mom using boiling water to seal the jars everytime she did jams and pickles and stuff for the winter, like that's such an easy and important step to do idk why she didn't just do, it or at least she could have researched the process better before she went to sell them
MARKIEEEE! I love when you coordinate your shirt with the lights! 🙌🏻
If I had a nickel for every time a tiktoker sold a product that gave you botulism in the past year I'd have two nickles, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
I'm with you, I can not stand to watch or listen to people eat. It physically repulses me. 🤢
However, I do not mind watching or listening to animals eat or crunch their food! Especially those big tortoises when they eat cactus leaves and cats eating their kibble!
Happy New Year Y'all! 🎉
Same lol. Sometimes I give my dog a but of my apple or carrot just to hear the crunch. People tho nope cant stand it. I hate it when I hear peoples lips smacking and not closing their freaking mouth
I just want to say every time you make a video you make my day. I look forward to watching all of your videos. Happy New Year!
$40 for pickles-wow. Who spends that much on pickles? Find a local farmers market or make your own?
earliest i’ve ever been! :) thank you for the upload!! hope you have a happy new year :)
She got herself in a bit of a pickle
Time is a flat fucking circle.
Yeach!
If I were invited to Buckingham for a meal, I would be studying up on manners 😂 I am not great at home with them but to go visit the queen in her ‘home’ and having more than a knife/fork/spoon, I would have no idea!
i don’t even like the sound of my chewing i can’t stand someone else’s 🤢
13,000 orders?! Scary that so many people thought that ordering this was a good idea...
id love to hear your opinion on the Dougherty Dozen 💜💋🖤
Wait a minute… a tiktokker who actually made a good apology?? I was genuinely surprised tbh influencers need to take notes from this food reviewer guy
I will put pickles on anything like a perpetually pregnant craving. Buying pickles on the interwebs? Yeah, miss me with that.
I insist you address us the audience as my little Pickles
No the sound of people eating makes me want to go insane and jump out of my skin. Literally.
So:
WTF do you mean "hand sealed"? That's not how it works. They NEED pressure to stay edible for a long time which is, you know, the entire point of pickling/preserving? If the container is not sealed properly it will not pickle properly and will probably mold before the whole process is completed. Unless you keep it in the fridge, in which case - WTF are you doing? Stop.
There's a guy local to me who sells meat out of his garage. For some reason people buy it.I don't trust people to do right in their house.
Stop buying food from people who don’t even have a food handlers card 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
I too hate eating noises. It's just icky
“i’m only one person” that’s why you set a limit on your stock
How do people get away with this stuff? Did we just give up on food safty like even if these people wanted to buy the products why is the state not involved?
I've made pickled radish, and it's so easy. Like canning/pickling at home is easier/customizable amd prolly much more sanitary than buying from a stranger online.
Hearing "hello pickled friends and family" on New Years Eve is actually pretty accurate. Please don't eat botulism pickles and drive. Get a cab. Happy New Year Callum.
the "hello pickles friends and family" makes me laugh too! and she always seems to make her mouth look so tiny and oddly shaped when she says it too! 🤣also sometimes she says it so fast it sounds like she is saying one single long mumbled word! lol what....??
I’ve been canning pickles and tomato sauce since I was a kid. I’ve never heard of hand sealing these things.
Love the pink tracksuit
I can buy pickles at my local grocery store, and they won't make me sick.
I’m Appalachian but I don’t can food. But even I know the process of sanitizing the jars pressure cooking and sealing the jars are CRUCIAL to the process.
Also I’m not sure but I don’t think the cucumbers would actually pickle/ferment in hand sealed jars I could be wrong
People seem to have no common sense anymore.
I choked when you told ASMR creators eating crisps by their mics to "go away" lmfao fr mouth sounds are evil
nah pink sauce girl is still WAY worse
The sound of people chewing makes me crazy. Misophonia is real!
I can’t stand pickled vegetables with one exception. I like sauerkraut, but that’s probably the 2.5 of living in Germany while going to the university. I learned to appreciate it when I’d have street vendor food. So good.
same, i like the occasional dill pickle with my burger but other than that they are nasty
It's almost like ppl are being held hostage to buy things off tiktok. Why even report on this? 🤔
I'm so glad I don't even have a tiktok.
and I
NEVER.
*EVER*
WILL.
Happy new year Callum! 🎉❤
Excellent coverage as always 👍
First off, hearing people eat drives me up a wall. I work in PC support and one thing that will always drive me crazy is the person munching away on the phone. The sound just drives me nuts and I don't get why people enjoying watching people eat. Don't get me wrong I love watching food be prepared and set up but when it comes to the eating part I'm skeeved out
And that sound effect almost made me gag
Pickles are not good and people that like hearing food being eaten is because they are indeed lonely
We really start the new year with a food problems from Tiktoks... Again
First, there was the Pink Sauce.
Then, there is the PickleMeEverything.
What's next? Homemade TikTok sardines?
Moral of the year: Never ever buy their homemade food products from TikTokers.
