      What… how would paying retail workers more improve these situations? Pay isn’t even A problem let alone THE problem. What needs to change is harsher punishment for these “pranks” and kids wanting to do this crap for clout. Security nowadays can’t put their hands on people in most cases.

    • @tracyhue23
      @tracyhue23 Год назад +18

      @@Grim_the_Clown actually pay is A problem . Minimum wage jobs don’t allow people to live. You do realize most Wal-Mart employees are on assistance programs to help pay rent, utilities, and food? Living wage should be A thing.
      I do agree that people like her should face harsher penalties. Part of why security and employees can’t do much is because it’s an insurance liability, if the person is injured they can sue. Security doesn’t have qualified immunity (another issue/problem). Also, security is unarmed and both regular employees and security have been killed trying to apprehend shoplifters….yet another thing they aren’t paid enough to care about. Honestly, I don’t want armed security guards because then you get people who couldn’t cut the police academy acting like a fool and would probably kill somebody.

    The idea of a "punching baby in public" prank become a common thing is terrifying because you're making it harder for people to identify real cases of child abuse, and so making it harder for people to step in and help the child being abused. If you see someone punch a baby, the only thought going through your head should be _I need to help this baby_ rather than having to think _wait, is this just a prank? If I get involved, am I gonna end up on someone's RUclips or TikTok? Is there even a baby in that carrier?_

      Big chain stores should set a big example. They are private property, after all. They can make whatever rules they want.
      Anyone caught "pranking" or being obnoxious in their stores needs to be banned for a lengthy period of time, and have some sort of fine (that goes to the staff (or patron) that had to deal with it the "prank").
      These idiots are driving business away, so I don't know why businesses wouldn't have a harsh punishment for the harassment of their patrons? 🤷‍♀️

    The art of pranking has been absolutely desecrated! Im gonna sound like a boomer at the ripe old age of 25, but I remember when a prank was putting a whoopee cushion on someone's chair, replacing Oreo filling with toothpaste, or cutting your brother's birthday out of the calendar so it "ceased to exist." Like stupid, harmless shit that at best, got a few laughs, and at worst, was met with mild annoyance. How did pranking go from juvenile jokes to terrorizing strangers, traumatizing your own children, and straight up committing crimes on film??

    A genuinely funny prank is meant to just really confuse someone with out damaging their property or person. It makes everyone laugh, and ideally no one should get genuinely offensive

    Watched this early in the morning and the high blood pressure resulting of it sure woke me up. What a terrible creature. Wish I had the strenght of that woman who shooed her away and called security... I went trough sever bullying and having some shit like that done to me, whilst having a camera shoved in my face would probably retraumatize me and send me into a panic attack. And worst of it all? That creature would think it's hilarious for five minutes and then completely forget about me, not realizing that it just ruined YEARS of therapy to get to the point of shopping groceries without a panic attack.

    Abusing a baby… yeah, not a good joke. I manage a clothing store, and one day one of my sales associates called me over the walkie talkie to tell me there was a customer going ballistic on her kid. I come out of the office to see this women literally screaming “STFU!!!” At the top of her lungs Into a STROLLER!! A stroller. She was screaming stfu to her crying toddler as if they were someone off of the street. It blew my mind. I went up to her and said “Excuse me!! What is going on?” She completely flipped her switch and apologized to me for “being too loud”
    I felt so bad for that baby. That’s gonna be a tough life, growing up with a mother like that.

    What really pisses me off about this is if someone looked at the aftermath is the situation: where the man walks away with the carrier as the woman follows him repeating “that’s my baby”.
    I would fully expect him to be stopped or physically harmed. He was being a Good Samaritan and she could’ve gotten him in trouble at best or assaulted if he was in a bigger crowd.

    • @overlydramaticpanda
      @overlydramaticpanda Год назад +1

      I'd like to think that in that situation, all he'd need to do is say "she was punching the baby" and the tide would turn in his favour - it would be even easier if he'd noticed the guy filming the whole thing since he could just demand the video be shown. Chances are he wouldn't have been the only one to see her behaviour in the first place; her whole thing is drawing attention to herself, after all, and the noise of a baby crying plus her shouting would have drawn more attention than just one person, even in a relatively empty store. Plus, even when it's inevitably revealed to be a doll, she'd still have to answer some *very* uncomfortable questions about what exactly her thought process was behind not just the "prank" itself but then accusing the man of kidnapping a doll instead of just revealing the "prank"...
