I appreciate that you didn't take 10+ minutes to say "they have different gear ratios". Even if it feels like half of the video could have been shaved off with no loss of information. You did a better job than pretty much any other car part manufacturer in not being an obnoxious salesman, and for that you have my thanks, and my respect.
Thanks for this info, I'm saving to do a conversion from automatic to manual on my 69 chevelle. I seen from your website you have a recommended installer close to me here in Ohio. Ill contact you guys soon for guidance.
I have an 88 fox body gt with an aftermarket gt40 crate motor and gt40 induction all the bells and whistles except a supercharger, which I am expecting to add sometime soon. I have been wanting a TKO for awhile so, which one, the 500 or 600 will work better with the 3:55 rear gears. I want the full kit to install bell housing, yoke and clutch, etc.
Planning on building a 393w turbo build in a 91 foxbody coupe. I believe to have 373 gears in rear if not they will be changed out at some point. Will use for occasional drag racing but mostly Street driving and highway sometimes
I have an AC Cobra kit car. 2500lbs 3.08 gear. Sbc 421ci with 500lb. torque. What would be best for a road course track day in relation to the ratios more than torque.
I’m building a Factory Five MK4 Roadster with a Windsor SB 427 and a rearend w/355 gears & 17” wheels. This would be a few weekends a year autocross car & do a lot of distance driving. What trans should I go for, the 500 or 600?
I have a 70 Mach 1 mustang that I'm wanting to put a TKO behind a 351C. About 400hp. Will it stand up? And if so, how do I determine all the parts needed for a car that once had a 4 speed top loader? Is a conversion kit available? Also if not how do I determine starter, flywheel, etc... I believe I need expert advice. There is a budget to build this car once. Not 3 or 4 times to get this right. :)
The TKO will be able to handle 400 HP and more. We know every part you need and have them in stock. Please give us a call, 888-609-0070, and one of our technical sales reps will be glad to go over the build so you get every part you need and none you don’t. We’re very familiar with Mustang conversions.
Is there a TKO 600 available in a kit for an early C4 Corvette? I only see the 500 listed. Also do you have a Tremec 6 speed kit for an early C4? Doing research on replacing my Doug Nash 4+3
We do have TKO 600 conversion kits for the C4. We do not have conversion kits for the Magnum 6-speed in a C4. You can find more information about our C4 kit here. shiftsst.com/blog/post/1984-1988-corvette.html or feel free to call us, 888-609-0070.
I’m building a 1969 Ford F100 Short-bed (currently 3 on the tree), 1971 351w .040 over (mostly stock idle to 5500 rpm), stock 3:70 gears. This is my daily driver with some highway driving. Any recommendations?
You should give us a call, 888-609-0070, and talk to one of our technical sales reps. The setup you have could go a couple of ways, our sales reps would discuss your desired use with you and make a recommendation based on that.

@@garrettgilbreath1607 Thanks, but 9" rear end doesn't tell us what the rear axle gear ratio is and that's the deciding factor as to which gear ratio set would be best.

You'll want the TKO 600 with a 3.73 rear axle and your intended use.
87 fox mustang with a 347 stroker with 3:73 rear end. what's your recommendation?
We recommend the 600 for that axle ratio.
I have an AC Cobra kit car. 2500lbs 3.08 gear. Sbc 421ci with 500lb. torque. What would be best for a road course track day in relation to the ratios more than torque.
TKO 600 .82 overdrive
I just want to know which ones is the fastest out of second gear with 355 rear gears
The 500 would come out of 2nd gear faster, the 600 would provide more MPH out of 2nd gear.

TCET17765 would be most appropriate for that type of use. It will have a longer 1st gear for autocross and more overdrive for the highway.

I just purchased a 500, I have 450hp 351w 373 rear. Would I have been better off with a 600?
The 600 would've given you a taller first gear, but the 500 should be fine for your application.
69 gto will have a 488 stroked Pontiac estimated torque 600 flbs, 3.55 gear. your recommendation
TKO 600 close ratio for sure. This would provide you with a 10.18 starting line ratio.
