I came here to watch and comment must be nice getting proposed to at Disneyland then came across the other videos in your channel and wow, you may think someone’s life is better than yours or perfect on the outside but if you have your health you really have everything, you never know what someone is going through and their life may not actually be better at all and I just want to say you deal with challenges with so much grace and strength it is inspiring. Also made me realize to be more grateful for what I have rather than reflect on what I don’t have, and to not take that for granted. Sending good vibes and prayers your way! 😇

I will say... as someone who travels with a service dog, its extremely disappointing when influencers do not adhere to the rules of keeping the dog IN THE BAG AT ALL TIMES. While you don't see the problem, and your dog may be behaving, people will see this, do it with their not so calm dogs, and then thats a safety hazard for people like me, who can't put our dogs in comfy little bags because we need them (medically). Not only that, but it messes it up for people who have TRUE emotional support animals. The rules are in place for a reason and no one is above them. I came over from The Chatwins... but if this is gonna be a common thing on the channel, I can't say I'll stay...

Thank you! The flight attendant and our immediate fellow passengers were ok with him being out (the passenger, owning a chihuahua herself, was particularly thrilled). With that being said, I completely understand your reasoning 😊

Taking the dog out isn’t too funny if you are allergic to dogs and sitting near them- or have to sit in your seat on the next flight with dog dander - rules r there for a reason dudes- show some maturity.

It prob has not occurred to you there are many many patients with lung disease including children, who have allergies to pets and dogs are triggers, including life threatening triggers. So to show disrespect for the rules and letting the dog out is well, pitiful and immature. Kids with cystic fibrosis, people with copd, asthma, lung cancer, emphysema, allergies, etc. don’t really feel you that you have this handled. The fact that you said the dog was an emotional support dog also is unfortunate. That seems questionable. When people who are exacerbated by animals are triggered (ex - by a dog let out of the carrier) many sad things can result- hives, difficulty breathing, migraines, chest pain, coughing to name a few. The animals dander is easily transferable, thru the air as well as the seats. It doesn’t take much to cause symptoms in a person who is reactive. Thus keeping the pet in the carrier, as instructed, can do alot to prevent symptoms in sensitive patients...These symptoms then require the patient to need more medication- which many of the meds also have bad side effects- and once the symptoms have been triggered can cause an exacerbation of the disease lasting many weeks or months. Often the reaction is triggered, but doesn’t show visible symptoms for a period of time- but the chain of trigger has already begun with no hope for reversal until the symptoms appear and the patient is compromised, and extra and or emergency medication administration must begin.
All this risk so an emotional support dog to come out of its carrier? I enjoy your vlogs immensely- your family’s beauty and talent are so special. But I am a Registered Nurse with years and years of being a Lung Disease Educator and Advocate, as well as caring for hundreds and hundreds of adults and children with lung disease in both hospitals and clinics-as well as having severe lung disease myself and raising a child with the same thing. So part of my job is educating the public and so I couldn’t let this opportunity go by since it has the chance to reach a lot of folks and is so important. Your casual, jokingly attitude towards your actions warranted a response and education. Lastly, folks with lung disease face many challenges when traveling- often it isn’t even an option or worth the risks-the main one is exposure to pets, their dander and other triggers. They have to carry tons of medications and stay on a strict regime! They often have low energy as the challenge to breath can be difficult. They can try as hard as possible to avoid things that worsen their disease, but are challenged by folks like you..same goes for folks who sneak pets into pet free hotels, B and B’s, etc. Often times more than not, patients with lung disease risk their life traveling, at the very minimum their comfort level. Pls rethink your actions next time.
