Yes i notice that, i think the occasion must of got to him, he could of cost Northampton the game, a potential 21 points went begging. Good game though.
Skosan had a nightmare game - butchered at least three nailed-on tries. Tigers deserve to be in the final after the season they've had but are going to have to play a lot better next wee to be in with a chance against Sarries.

6:54 Genuinely one of the best passes I've ever seen thrown under pressure, Ford is different class.
In fairness, it helped that Freemen defended against the wrong man creating the offload all by himself.
If that’s the best pass you’ve ever seen you’re either a Ford fan girl or not watched many games on rugby, that is the most routine pass ever, you expect your 10 at any level to make that pass with ease, clear overlap, defender marking the inside man, he could have looped the pass and he still would have scored 😂
@@Danimal13 pressure of 2 defenders and Adrenaline of playing for finale. Not the hardest pass but also not ‘routine’
@@dylanvallely5229 pressure of one defender who rushes up and actually watching it back I think Ford would have thrown that pass even if the other defender decided to mark the outside man, yes good execution but again every 10 should be able to make that pass, nothing special

The half time speech clearly worked. Tigers were pretty shite in the first 40 but came back possessed. Ellis and Jasper were sublime.

@@xthemight1602 absolutely diabolically awful. Looked like he was drunk the way he tried to catch the ball (3 dropped balls in scoring opportunities) - and I'm a South African, ie I want to support the guy. Honestly he should be free-loaned out to Ealing Trainfinders for that performance

@@xthemight1602 3 of the f-ups are in these highlights, + there was another one in the game where he tried to catch a long pass above his head & honestly it looked like the time i tried to teach my girlfriend how to play cricket... flailing hands and confusion.
The only thing I can think is maybe he was concussed in the first minutes of the game, but I didn't see anything happen.
The other excuse is maybe he was on the piss the night before, but I remember in SA he always used to bang on about God and Jesus and all that noise, so I doubt he's a big drinker. Either way, an embarrassment. Gutted, as I'm a big N'hampton fan.

I'm not so sure mate, I watched the full 80 and whilst it was full of drama, the result was defined by mistakes. 3 Skosan mistakes, poor biggar kick, poor kick from Grayson, forwards not securing ball straightforward ball, which led to a Leicester try. Exciting for sure, quality and end product lacking

Yep, you can see the ball bounce up at 4:56 after he grounds it.
When you jump onto your arms (providing there is no challenge from the opposition) u don't actually have to ground the ball properly. So I could have the ball wrapped in my arms and providing I jumped onto my arms and no opposition ran over to try and hold me up, I would get a try.

It’s definitely not just you, I was thinking the exact same thing.. And this happens quite often in games tbh, where players ‘ground’ the ball (usually in a same manner as Ford did here) without any clear sight of the ball touching the ground. Nine out of ten times the try will just get rewarded without any reviewing whatsoever.

Strange, as the highlights would make you think this was a good game, and for a Tigers fan, it was worryingly not.
Northampton deserved more, but thats not always it goes.

Yeah they deserved more, 15 plus points more that went begging. I only saw the highlights and it looked like a good game. That's TV for yer. Tigers fans are the best.
I disagree, I thought it was a very tense, very good game. Tigers' attack wasn't particularly firing for most of the first half, but that was as much down to Northampton's defence as Leicester's execution. Leicester did well to absorb all of the pressure thrown at them, then taking advantage of Northampton's fatigue to strike when they had the chances in the last fifteen minutes.
@@Dougalicious91 OK, I agree with what your saying. I felt Northampton pushed us further than at least I was expecting though. It did make for a very tense game.

So the team that finished 4th and butchered 3 tries are now blaming the Ref, never good enough to threaten the top spot and only given a 2nd chance because of the ludicrous play offs, feel sorry for Northampton - I am not a Tigers fan either
Nah we butchered it, but the ref was advised by his TMO and ignored him. That was the nail in the coffin

Impressive win, Leicester. I feel bad for Skosan, though. He’s had such a career resurgence this season, only to choke on three walk-in tries in the biggest game of the season. His season shouldn’t be judged on that.
Leicester forwards provided the platform, and Ford has put on a next level performance. Of the four semi-finalists, I rooted for the Quins, but now that they’re out, I want the Tigers to go and win the whole thing. Go Tigers, and give George Ford an unforgettable send-off.

Ford really wants to end his day's at Leicester on top, his performances seem to me to have gone up a gear as this seasons final has got closer, hoping this form shows for sale next season, bad day for skosan, Northampton yellow card really poor decision but Leicester clinical second half got the win, sarries to grind out a win in the final

Skosan Showed why Mapimpi is the Starting 11 for the Boks. Mapimpi can catch a ball and at least give you ground. Skosan was fumbling the ball horrendously. Skosan will never be a bok any time soon.

I was cheering tigers, but a yellow against saints for a seatbelt tackle was a terrible call. Should have been a penalty and the result could have been very different.

@@George-bp4ij That's not true. Tigers were the fitter team and Saints couldn't cope with the late surge. Hence, the late dominance continued when Saints were back up to XV.

George Ford did not ground the ball, the ball did not make contact with the ground at all, anybody else see this. Not a Saints fan, just enjoy the finer details of the game. Technically should have been a 22m drop out to Saints :) 4:30 into the game

Moroni tackle is a red card.. player is already low before he engages to the tackle. Once he engages with it he lines up hutchinsons’ head with his shoulder. Red

It was porter not moroni. But if you want to go down that route mitchell should've walked for his high shot on steward after the referee had blown the wistle and he was already low and mitchell didn't attempt to wrap his arms in the tackle
Saracens fan here so am neutral but wanted to say I thought Northampton were treated abysmally by the referee. Leicester should have had a player sent off just before halftime, as stone cold a red card as you'll ever see. Then the yellow he gave against Saints later in the second half was a disgrace, the TMO tried telling him it was penalty only as well but he was determined to handicap Northampton who were clearly the better side. I actually thought he might have taken a bribe, that's how bad it looked.
I can think of a more stone-cold red card that I've seen recently...
