Once or twice a year i come back here. Watching, thinking about my past. I will never forget making a character with my brother. He a Tauren Shaman, I myself a Tauren Druid. Together, side by side roaming through Mulgore, having no idea of the beautifull adventures that where ahead of us. Thank you Blizzard.
+BananaBread Same here. But for me I make a pally and find another pally questing. We made a friendship and still today playing together... So many memories...
Fotis Pappas i would like to hear it from a different perspective if you don't mind. you were 29 when you started wow and now you're 40. what are the differences in how/level of enjoyment then vs now, and how you believe it would have changed if you started at 9 years old?
Tim Rosén boooooo get off the stage. "Classic" WoW was incredibly tedious and boring for allot of people, for new players now... playing for like 2 months of casual play just to get to max level ISN'T gonna be fun. Your "classic" WoW isn't going to be released for a long long time, anyway.
It is the journey that is so fun and just to think back how far you've really come which so epic. I know vanilla really isn't for everyone but what we got now really isn't better than vanilla. And there were no flying so you will see alot more players in every zone, it wont be completely empty with just npcs like it is now which also means there will be world pvp when leveling and at max level. And when you're leveling from 1-60 just grinding mobs and doing quests isn't all you do like in retail, that might be why you think it's so boring but that's because you're wrong. Really, just go watch a video of some dude explaining why vanilla was a more fun experience than retail because I'm just not good at explaining things.
Nah, beside close up at thral's face at end of "Thrall's vision" everything looks still very good. It's impossible for it to get old as Diablo II or Warcraft ii cinematics
I know, 3 years later. Realistic animation have not improved much if at all since this era. Actually attempts to make it more realistic makes it usually dull or ridiculous. Justice League movie a good example. This is close to the best we can possibly make.
This was not a game, it was an adventure. It was not about hitting lvl cap or sitting in your garrison, it was about exploring. Exploring this endlessly big world at my own speed. Maybe i would meet some friends along my journey. Maybe they would help me out of a dark cave or assist me with some professions. Maybe i would fight murlocs or raptors til your weapons broke... I could go on forever thinking about my great journey through this great world that seemed endlessly big. Much love from someone who was a part of this increadible adventure
my parents forbid me to play the game cause my grades dropped and I would also wake up at 2-3am and turn my pc on so I could play without them noticing haha
This trailer represents what is so unique about Classic. It's about us, the players, going on adventures, making new friends and bashing more skulls. If you look at the trailers for the more recent expansions, it's all about the story related NPC's. And that is also reflected in the game. As time passed, it started being less and less about us. That sense of freedom and unity that Vanilla offered is gone in the modern version of the game.
I will never get tired of that Tauren moment. The rising string music. The color. It is a beautiful tapestry. I have revisited this video so many times over the years just for that part. Absolute perfection. So magical.
"Four years have passed since the mortal races banded together, and stood united against the might of the Burning Legion. Though Azeroth was saved, the tenuous pact between the Horde and the Alliance has all but evaporated. The drums of war thunder, once again..." That intro gives me chills every time. It really set the stage for the original game.
For me it was the Orc warrior screaming in rage, in the middle of fire infront of oggrima. And till this day. I'm a member of the Horde. And I will ever be one. FOR THE HORDE!
Watching this literally brings tears to my eyes. So many amazing memories from playing Vanilla back in 2005. My memories of my time in Azeroth are more vivid than nearly any memory I have from my real life during that time of my life. This amazing world, knowing largely nothing about what lay ahead, and me a lonely orc warrior starting my journey. memories of running through the Barrens, coming into Org for the first time, fighting Alliance in Booty Bay In STV and at Tarren Mill, all those 10-15 man UBRS runs I organized in chat to get my Valor Chest piece, grinding raptors in STV for my mount at level 40, awesome guild drama and slight rp, raiding MC and Onyxia, getting my Quel'serrar... so many. I would nearly give anything to turn back the clock and experience it all again. What a world and time in my life, so much fun!
Valkeir I also have the same feeling like yours. Those memories are unforgettable and will never have again. We are not young anymore to experience them again.
Man this cinematic actually makes me teary eyed, and it hurts my heart deeply to know what we lost over the years. Thank you original WoW for teaching my what gaming and friendship was. You will never be forgotten, but you will never be the same again. Goodbye.
It's actually insane how well made this is all of these years later. It still looks REALLY good (let alone for 2004), the cinematography is honestly super solid, and the direction to ensure no particular race or (implied) class looks "too" cool or interesting or whatever is very nicely done. Props to the team for this one.

I was 11 when Wow was released in 2004. It completely absorbed my life for the first 6 months. I still do not know how I passed my exams that year but I am very glad they were not important ones. I still remember my parents being like "what's the big deal?". I will always carry the memories, especially the pure adrenaline rush when I first logged in to Azeroth. I am 27 now, I have travelled the world, I have a career and yet there's still nothing that gets me through a cold wintery Scottish night like a bit of wow. Thank you Blizzard! From my 11 year old self.
Great Cinematic Trailer, blizzard nailed it when it came to trailers. Many awesome friends, still in contact with today. Met my wife in WoW had kids. Such great times! Thanks Blizzard for an awesome experience
I just come here every now and then to watch this absolutely beautiful cinematic and it gets me even more hyped up now that WoW Classic is coming back on August 27th. Wow.
I grew up on this game. I swear I've seen this cinematic so many times that I had every word of the opening monologue memorized before I knew what half those words meant. I think when I first saw this trailer when I was five years old. Now I'm in college, and I seriously can't wait to play classic again.
This. This is such a big part of my life, of ME! Every time I watch this I get the same feeling as I had back in 2004-2006, no game have ever been this good since.
Truly an insane cinematic from every point of view, and to think it was made so long ago It manages to immediately immerse you in this incredible world
old good feelings if you play this game when its came out in 2004 you know the feeling of see whole new universe. I remember every single good time leveling in westfall etc. it was like new universe and I was never see game like that before in 2004 good times... (srry for bad english)
+Luxetra B westfall and the whole defias brotherhood quest chains are 1 of my favourites. great story thats easy to understand for the lower level players!
I just got here after binge-watching a couple of WoW Classic related videos and building up my hype for the release in Summer 2019... see you all again after so many years!
When I watch this trailer I almost show a tear because it reminds me of my life younger. I lived so good and so much happiness then that I get so good feeling everytime thinking about it. I was 10 years old when I tried World of Warcraft and have somewhat a little story of my own from that day
The reason as for why this cinematic gives you goosebumps and overall sensations compared to other cinematics, is the Close-view and danger factor, the mage's fireball at 2:16 crossing to your left as you hear it barely missing your ear, and the toughness of the infernal after receiving two of these to the face yet it still climbs up, it lets you wondering if that mage is okay or not, which he seems to be after he nova'd later, changing his elemental approach after the fireballs just... "immuned" it I guess. 2:10 The orc warrior swinging at the camera, with each sound the weapon generates, you know the weapon is the blunt type after hearing it, you feel it rather than just seeing it on the screen. The added SWOSH is phenomenal. Plus the way that orc slams it toward's the druid staff brute style at 2:36 you know he broke it in half even if it doesn't show it, that faint CRACK gives it away. The Dwarf shot at 2:25 made from the side, just like the mage's fireball, you see it, you hear and feel it yet it gives you a hint in the dark of who it is already by that click, the bear charging feels like it just passed you by. The warlock at 1:41 doing his best onto controlling the big beefy fiery rockboi, the concentration and it's pain, even the way that infernal shouts so strongly you can see the undead's strands of hair moving forward from it, even when the infernals runs towards the viewer at 2:32 you can tell how big they are given the low-focus on the camera, as if you're an actual human-sized scale throughout the entire cinematic. Not to mention the tauren's slam at the end, this cinematic is on YOUR point of view, it feels like you're there, that's why it gives these exciting goosebumps. With each cinematic this feeling was lost, because they started to focus more on the main antagonist or was mostly a story-telling on the skin of someone else, shoving away "YOU" from the picture. Let it be know, this is one if not THE cinematic that used this kind of technique, and it was never done again. Remember it as how it was, and not as how it ended to be.
Nope its because the game lived up to the cinematic. The art of it, everything conducted so well that it is literally one of the best games to EVER exist
I wonder if the turtle at 0:23 to the right of the eastern kingdoms is a REALLY early easter egg of what was to become MoP. Most likely not, but it's fun to think that the developers had a long laid out plan for the game.
the section depicting the elvin druid leaping through a dense, colorful forest from 1:09 in combination with the fact-pased epic choir never ceases to make me smile. As someone who has started playing WoW late MoP, I am excited that vanilla WoW is in the works so I can experience the story and world pre-Cata in all its glory
+GamingBros I havent heard a single player say that wow got better. Until cataclysm you had a shitload of talent options. Now you can put one every 15 levels so fun. There were a lot of chabges that led to wow dying. And it is dying.

Great Cinematic Trailer, blizzard nailed it when it came to trailers. Many awesome friends, still in contact with today. Met my wife in WoW had kids. Such great times! Thanks Blizzard for an awesome experience
Sometimes I still come here to watch this and cry...
This cinematic is over 15 years old, why is it still better than most of the stuff produced today?
Seeing that Night Elf Druid turning into cat form is was sold me back in 2006. The memories of those early adventures are so precious to me.
Still gives me chills, over a decade later!
This short film actually opened up my childhood's rich imagination.Thanks.
I come back to watch this so often. It is my childhood and I cannot be more greatful. The music and scenes forever live on
I just come here every now and then to watch this absolutely beautiful cinematic and it gets me even more hyped up now that WoW Classic is coming back on August 27th. Wow.
I grew up on this game. I swear I've seen this cinematic so many times that I had every word of the opening monologue memorized before I knew what half those words meant. I think when I first saw this trailer when I was five years old. Now I'm in college, and I seriously can't wait to play classic again.
so many years later still gives me the goosebumps and eyes watering with joy
This. This is such a big part of my life, of ME! Every time I watch this I get the same feeling as I had back in 2004-2006, no game have ever been this good since.
CGI still holds up to this day. They really did an amazing job. Love coming back to this and re-watching. Well worth it.
the chills are real 14 years later
I cried.
***** Ikr, theres nothing like rolling around on a rogue naked and smackin fully geared people.

Truly an insane cinematic from every point of view, and to think it was made so long ago
It manages to immediately immerse you in this incredible world
My favourite WoW intro ever. Just made a "narration" tribute to it 👍👍👍
old good feelings if you play this game when its came out in 2004 you know the feeling of see whole new universe. I remember every single good time leveling in westfall etc. it was like new universe and I was never see game like that before in 2004 good times... (srry for bad english)
Luxetra B Wasn't a new universe for people who played the Warcraft RTS games... >_>
+Luxetra B If you like whole new universes try EVE-online :>
+Luxetra B westfall and the whole defias brotherhood quest chains are 1 of my favourites. great story thats easy to understand for the lower level players!
+Antility TV It's a shame, what they did to Old Blanchy.
cant imagine that the waiting is over today. What a time to be alive
The rush of nostalgia these trailers bring always make me cry :(
its a game
The days.....
The friends
I just got here after binge-watching a couple of WoW Classic related videos and building up my hype for the release in Summer 2019... see you all again after so many years!
When I watch this trailer I almost show a tear because it reminds me of my life younger. I lived so good and so much happiness then that I get so good feeling everytime thinking about it. I was 10 years old when I tried World of Warcraft and have somewhat a little story of my own from that day
honestly, this trailer is still fresh
The art of it, everything conducted so well that it is literally one of the best games to EVER exist
the feeling, the real danger., the challenge. the true adventure. best cinematic ever.
They guy at 2:23 is like ''Hey, don't film me!!!!''
more than 20 years and no one can beat down this trailer.
Best trailer for what would become the greatest online game ever
This still gives me a euphoric feeling every time I see it.
So many memories. Me and my buddy had so much fun in Tarren Mill.
Here we go again!
I wonder if the turtle at 0:23 to the right of the eastern kingdoms is a REALLY early easter egg of what was to become MoP. Most likely not, but it's fun to think that the developers had a long laid out plan for the game.
haha good point
You'd be surprised. Gaming companies often tend to work out the full extent of their products years in advance. So you never know.
"A turtle made it to the water"
@@ZetsubouZolo forced memes aren't funny
Idk why but I’ve been addicted to this trailer lately it just gets me hype every time.
Because it's EPIC. Music, variety of worlds, races and classes, editing...
Gratz to all people who contributed to this masterpiece.
August 27th is when World of Warcraft gets back to good.
Only had like 500 chills while watching this remembering my old days...they were so amazing.
the section depicting the elvin druid leaping through a dense, colorful forest from 1:09 in combination with the fact-pased epic choir never ceases to make me smile. As someone who has started playing WoW late MoP, I am excited that vanilla WoW is in the works so I can experience the story and world pre-Cata in all its glory
Bring us home Blizzard... BRING US HOME!
They wont :/ they are rogue on their own fanbase, like EA is for majority of time....
+GamingBros I know right? Blizzard is way too good for EA.
You could go and get a job instead?
+GamingBros I havent heard a single player say that wow got better. Until cataclysm you had a shitload of talent options. Now you can put one every 15 levels so fun. There were a lot of chabges that led to wow dying. And it is dying.
How is wow dying, yes it's true that it isn't as popular as it used to be but it isn't dying.
It is good to be back where it all started seeing these videos brings back memories
Happy 20th Anniversary Warcraft and Happy 10th Anniversary World of Warcraft , may it keep going for another 10 years.
No forever! I love this game been playing it 8 years
Brenden Burlage They have a "last expansion" planned, supposedly, so it'll stop, eventually, and then they can finally make Warcraft 4.
*NOSTALGIA* - the official soundtrack
Never realized that was Maiev narrating for all these years (played since tbc) until bro pointed it out.
She sounds so much calmer.
There will never a game like this.
I am so thankful for all the years playing this. It was all worth it.
Thank you Blizzard.
This was World of Warcraft my dear children. What you see today is just an undead that looks like World of Warcraft.
Is a true master piece of art, the cinematics, even the music and sound fxs everything is settled in an armonic way
coming home baby
