How do you get the audio to your video ? With iRig ?

Hey man, I shoot the video on a go pro hero 8 and they make an audio adapter that plugs into the side, then I can plug an aux cord into the adapter, and that goes to a splitter. I then plug the splitter into my in-ear pack so that the audio goes to both the go pro and my in-ears, and the in ears just plug into the other side of the splitter. I just have to select "line in" as the audio source in the go pro preferences.
