Copart and IAAI are always changing the rules on what can and can't be done. Last I know is that any salvage vehicle needs to be removed on a trailer. Clean title vehicles are allowed to be driven. Shouldn't matter dealer or not. I would still call your local branch and verify, as it may be a little different from branch to branch.

I’m not an expert but I will try answering your question E enhance is a vehicle that has mechanical issues like engine or motor issues, run and drive means it runs but might still have physical damages
I think the best non bias answer I can say is buy one car and try it. That will give you a much better idea if you are built for this business or not, and if you like it or not! But, with that being said, this business is very competitive and tough. Has a lot of pit falls and a huge learning curve. There will be bad purchases, difficult clients, and a lot of things to figure out between purchasing a vehicle and actually selling it. Give it a try, see if you like it, and go from there!
you need full vin number, Copart for some reason hide the full vin to regular users, so first search the lot number and you can find the bid history and full vin number from other sites.
Kinda new to copart, I think they are now offering new memberships? Does this mean anyone can buy cars on there now? I see they just need and ID to make the account? I’m thinking about getting the 50$ membership if this is the case
some people on the web are giving a broker service for copart but the difference from other brokers is, they give you the open title direct from auction, stating that this is legal because they are registered as out of country brokers. what do you say to that ?
I’m starting down this path of flipping cars. Thanks for the video on Copart. I signed up for it but haven’t bud on a car yet. Lots of details like this is what makes me nervous about buying cars this way. Another big question I have, maybe you have a video on it, but how are you getting passed the Max cars per year your state allows you to sell without being a dealer?
Thank you for watching! I actually have a dealers license. So I don't have a state limit. And unfortunately, the only way to bypass the limit legally is to get a wholesale/dealer license.
Great tips.. I have a question about approval... I am bidding on donated car and won... when i checked sale history i find. That it has been on auction for more than 3 months and seller has been relisting the car for 10 th times? Is it free to relisting and no limit
If it's a donated vehicle, and it was donated to Copart they can run it as many times as they want since they don't have to charge themselves. Other alternative is they partnered with the organization that's selling the donated vehicle, for lower fees or no fees ar all. And that organization gives them tax write offs, if they are a non profit for example.
Hi, what does this mean: CA - CERT OF TITLE OR SALVAGE ACQ. It is being sold in the same state, but I'm not sure what they mean by this since my first language isn't english. Super helpful video btw :)
I personally rarely have an attachment to a vehicle. The way I approach negotiations is, I was the highest bidder that's all you are going to get. More often than not, I get the car. There have been a few where I didn't budge on my max bid, and they declined the offer and next week the car sold for a few hundred more.
I think they are great, but they also carry a lot of risk. If it's been stolen, for say a year before recovered, you can bet that it wasn't maintained or cared for during that year. I've had two cars stolen, both recovered about 2 weeks later. Those cars were not the same when I had them. One came back with minor mechanical issues. The other had fairly major mechanical issues. Not to count various broken trim pieces, and both needed a full detail again. So, car might look fine but it could definitely have pesky issues, including mechanical. They do say "drive it like you stole it" for a reason 😅
@@SergeyPip Thanks a lot buddy for sharing your experience, I totally agree with you, if someone stole a car, the last thing he'd do is maintaining it! Cheers
I would approach those with caution. Important if it's a fresh water flood, or salt water. The difficulty with flood cars, is knowing how high up the flood was. If it's below the door line, usually not a big deal. Also need to know where the flood was, front? Rear? On a BMW rear flood is as bad as a front flood, and on a Focus a rear flood isn't that bad. So all depends on the flood, where it was and what car is flooded.

If you purchase a vehicle from Copart or IAAI with a salvage title, you will be able to get it registered and titled under your name. The steps to get that done depend from state to state, some need receipts for parts replaced and some states just do a simple VIN inspection.
Hi , thanks for the useful tips. you stated that it's worth avoiding cars sold on different location rather than title. i don't really get one part. In case the owner is travelling and had an accident in a different state, I suppose the insurance company won't take it all the way back to the registration location. do you have any information about this? I would highly appreciate your response.
Hello! Thank you for watching! In my experience, where the accident happened is like 97% of the time where the title is issued in. Because when the vehicle is totaled, the new owner becomes the insurance company. So a new title is issued to the new owner, and since insurance companies work nationwide, it is much easier for them to get the title in the state of the accident. In rare occasions I have purchased vehicles in OR where the owner was an insurance company but the title belonged to a different state.
Thanks again for the great info. I myself am just getting started on copart and like the buy it now section. Is there a way to sort by " buy it now price"?
Hello! The membership fee covers ALL auctions that you are eligible to bid on. Meaning that if you have a public ONLY membership you will be able to bid on PUBLIC only auctions and vehicles. If you have a licensed business membership, you will be able to bid at almost every auction on 99% of the vehicles. Some auctions require additional paperwork (as stated by that state's law), and some vehicles are to be sold to dismantles only.

because Insrance company is not fixing up the cars or trying to scam anyone. They have processed the car and paid out everything for it to the original owner, and now they list it on auction to sell it off, cause they need to get rid of it so they can have room for the next car in their inventory. So it's a safe option to buy, cause what you see is what you get, there is no hidden work done on the car and then listed with new pictures that make the car look not as bad as it is like the blue truck it this video, Insurance is not doing that shit, it's some private seller or dealer guy that is trying to scam somebody and sell them a bad car while making it look like it's a good deal.
