  • I recently purchased the live air 3, I was super excited, and while it does work, well , it's not all it seems, and was more difficult to setup than thought! But it is a great start to something new!

      Actually I have a question for you!! Maybe im still doing it wrong, but once I programmed it in, when I turn it off, then on again, it seems to not be able to go back into my saved settings, I have to re-calibrate it all over again. *I thought this was meant to be easy!!!*

      @@Sonymoviemasterswhen you turn it off then back on you just have to calibrate the hard stops, the distance calibration is saved. Hope that makes sense

    Is that the last step to save the setting? Actually, you're pressing two times and holding, at the beginning you press three times and hold, just wondering to get it right. When you restart this thing to get it to work on the manual it says "automatically/manually calibrate the lens stroke to extract the AF data for the lens" What does that exactly mean....????"

      Sorry, on the last step, im Pressing it 3 times, so, one, two, and then 3 (the 3 is the hold) I know its very confusing.

      @@Sonymoviemasters So that "saves it" Once I calibrate, works fine, turn it off, restart... not working... 😠maybe I need this last "step". Did you ever have this problem?

    • @Sonymoviemasters
      @Sonymoviemasters  3 месяца назад

      @@tobiascrow2792 Ive been having the same problem, ive been having to re-do it eveytime I use the camera, the official instructions just say ". After the motor
      restarts, simply set it to the corresponding color channel and automatically/manually calibrate the lens
      stroke to extract the AF data for the lens. This will initiate the autofocus mode without the need for setup
      again. Changing the camera will not affect the Af data of the lens." And I cant find a single video online which explains it. its frustrating as hell.

      @@Sonymoviemasters So here's the thing... Once calibrated, if everything is working correctly, you turn off the camera and pull out the battery from the motor, then when you turn the camera on, pop back in the battery, you need to press the button once for about 3 seconds the button, it does its focus ring turning thing, then it works... that is what I figured out and finally works...

    Does it work on zoom lenses? I have a sigma 24-70

    • @Sonymoviemasters
      @Sonymoviemasters  3 месяца назад

      Yes, It works on any lens really, just can't use a mattbox as the laser needs to point at the subject , I actually use it to control my zoom on my sigma 18-35,

    The official video by PD movie is a little messy, no mentioning about beeping, just lights flashing... let me try your way which is much easier

      Yes I found the PD movie instructions very confusing.
