The fourth and final single from Pet Shop Boys' second studio album "Actually" topped the UK single charts for three weeks in 1988.
This track is included in SMASH - The Singles 1985 - 2020. The complete collection of Pet Shop Boys singles in chronological order. “SMASH" will be released on Parlophone on June 16th in a variety of formats including 3CD box set, 6LP vinyl box set and digitally, as well as two special limited edition formats available exclusively via the Pet Shop Boys store - 6LP white vinyl box set and 3-cassette box set. A 3CD/2Blu-ray edition will also be released which includes the complete video collection of the singles plus extras.

The girl in the video is Croatian, Daniela Čolić-Prizmić, and the entire video was shot near the Croatian capital, Zagreb... in the castle of Mokrice, today in Slovenia.
The scene take it in February 1988 at Mokrice castle, Slovénia.
For that, around 1km of castle was reserved at this song.
Today Mokrice castle, its a beautiful adventure.
Neil Tennant was 34 at this period and McKellen more young 😂.

As someone who loved this back in the 80's, I was today years old when i realised that the vampire is Sir Ian McKellen! And i had loved McKellen since 1982's Scarlett Pimpernel, so it's not like i didn't know who he was.
Just wow! I'm amazed. But then again, back then, we'd just see a small part of the video on top of the pops as there was no MTV over in the uk until the late 80's and then you had to have SKY to watch it. And most didn't until the 90's.Or at least, it was the 90's in my house.
