Such a Sad loss, a great man, and a phenomenal voice and singer. It's so sad to see him in the video, so happy, doing what he does best, then 9 years after this performance he died from brain Cancer. Massively missed.

I listened to an hour long interview he did, and when he started singing with Quincy, the Awesome James Ingram didn’t realize he was such a wonderful singer, because he thought he was just supposed to play the keyboard! He was such a beautiful person, and I didn’t know him as a man (Christian) until he was gone!! I only knew him in the 80s!

Focus on the positive people, I'm white and I have loved James since Ya Mo. His spirit shines through. I worked in TV - they are not all intelligent. I saw one host play a VTR of the 'original Doobies' and then say to Mike McDonald "there you were having such fun in the flim" - and he's like "OK, of course" - he wasn't even in the clip.... it was the pre '74 Doobies before he arrived. Embarrassing. It's like a factory line guest in guest out. Peace.
