Hey man I’m trying to find some more information on the Trimble stuff. How did you get started with the gps and laser technology? My family owns a small excavation company and we do all the dirt work building small subdivisions and I think at least the laser systems could be very beneficial but I can’t seem to find info on where to start or get trained.

    Hello
How accurate is this system? I was testing Cat excavator with build in 2d system and it was terrible (10 cm of tolerance). Is Trimble any better?

Its good within a tenth of an inch so about 2.5cm. I would say something was wrong with the Cat excavator system you tried out. They are usually much better than that. But this one is great!

How far would you drive a mini excavated vs loading it on a trailer to move it. Have a farm and can do it either way to get somewhat distant location. Thanks

      Mini excavator

Drive it as far as you want to. It wont hurt it at all. Just might take a while!

Thanks, was not sure minis were met to be driven just to relocate them. Do not want to cause extra wear on running gear. Thanks again.

@@DirtNinja Drove my Bobcat 425 mini about a mile once from one end of a development to another. Even in superfast rabbit mode, kids walking to school were passing me. My boss shouted "Row faster!" Took like 15 minutes but felt much longer.

Main reason we seen final drives fail. Theres a few seals on the back side and internally. Let's dirt in and makes a wreck of things. Noticable power loss is main thing.. just rebuilt mine on my cat 302

It's amazing how money can replace talent.

Trimble products don't replace talent, they make talented people more efficient.

Actually the opposite, you still have to be good on a machine you just don’t need a man on a staff

Used it today. I was mad because they should never sell Earthworks with out a laser catcher!
