I've watched portions of your videos several times before but never realized you had scripture readings at the end.
Very comforting to know that there are other dirt work guys who are also Christians. Keep doing it!
Thank you Muddy Tracks! I appreciate the encouragement and glad to hear you are enjoying the messages. Fight the good fight!
God Bless,
Sam
Hi Sam , Man that turned out Great ! The Trimble Earthworks System looks to be a Really Good Asset.👍🏻
I appreciate You Sharing the Message !
Have a Great Week.!
Evert
Thanks Evert! Trimble is petty much a necessity working by yourself. Saves a lot of grade rod work for sure. Appreciate you watching the message...
God Bless,
Sam
That Trimbal earth works is something else as a time saver. That Job came out great. 👏👍 Thanks for the message
Yes, absolutely, when you work alone it sure saves time. And eliminates all the getting in and out checking grade.
Thanks,
Function meets Art……that’s what Sam does so well. He took a part of the landscape that was an eyesore and turned it into a thing of beauty. Our thanks to Sam for a job well done. My only complaint is that he gave Diesel all the bacon !
The remnants of hurricane Ida came through last week ,the acid test for the new French drainage system, it worked perfectly.
Thanks Jack! I think what you said makes me an Artist! A DIRT ARTIST! Yup, I need to add that to my resume. I appreciate you and Susan for trusting me with the idea for this project. But, you still don't get the bacon! Glad to here the drain is working well.
God Bless,
Sam
From a fellow dirt guy and Christian I appreciate the videos. It’s cool to see someone local on here making videos also. I’m from Ooltewah
Thank you, I appreciate that. Yup, I know Ooltewah, I'm about 40 minutes or so frome there. Cool to see that you found the channel and are close by. Did a video of mine just pop up? Always curious how folks find the channel...
God Bless...
@@tristardiggin it did.
Love the Aussie at the end man. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks I appreciate that. Diesel makes an appearance ever once in a while on the video.
Thanks,
Sam
Thanks for the word it is needed in our lives great dirt work Sam👍
I agree! We need the Word more than ever. It's our only hope.
God Bless,
Sam
Gary Price is a good one
Yup, he is a good feller…
These videos are so entertaining. Especially after working all day in a cubicle. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two and start my own skid steering business!
Thank you JC! I really appreciate that. That is kinda how I started. I bought a skid steer when I was farming and learned how to use it. I learn a lot from RUclips Dirt University...
God Bless,
Sam
Amen on message
Thank you Doug! 😁
Like your skid technique Sam. Looks great.
Thanks! I will try about anything to keep from doing manual work...😁
Excellent job looks great !
Thanks. And I appreciate the comment...
Sam
Good massage
Thanks. I think Diesel got a blessing too. He loves bacon...
Good-looking work good looking work keep the good work up 👍👍👍
Thanks Jeff!😀
Very nice job, a real clean result, good stuff👍🏻
Thank you and I appreciate your comment...
God Bless..
Just got done watching the video where you got the sv2s laser. I've been thinking of getting the larger topcon machine mounted receiver in the future, and maybe at some point a new laser with slope. I have a bosh laser now that doesn't have slope. when I did that drainage swell last year I walked down it every few feet and checked with grade rod to make sure it was going lower and then eyeballed the rest since actual slope wasn't important just as long as water went where I wanted, it turned out well. That Trimble earth works is pretty sweet as well...
Laser with slope makes a job so much easier to do. It takes out the guess work. And coupled with Trimble Earthworks it's a game changer. Once it is setup you don't have to get out of the machine. I'm hoping to add Trimble Earthworks to the D5 this year. I have a laser receiver to put on the stick of the 308 but it's no comparison to Trimble.
The job I did in Ringgold, installing a storm water system, was a great example of having a laser with slope. I had to fixed elevations and needed to dig a certain slope for those 2 elevations to meet. So I calculated the exact slope needed and programed the laser and Earthworks. The ditch came out perfect between the two elevations. Would have been extremely difficult for me to eyeball that dig...
@@tristardiggin Thinking of getting the large machine receiver that mounts to a pole, lsb200 I think is what it's called now, and probably build a pole mount that I could bolt to my dozer blade and maybe tractor bucket if I needed, and also get a magnet mount to be able to use it on an excavator. It's universal and I could slap it on a rental machine etc... That and a slope laser Would suit my needs for the occasional projects I do.
My wife had an aussie shepard great dog looked just like diesel.
That’s cool! Those Aussies make great friends. Diesel is a good one for sure…
@@tristardiggin considering their breeds name not many here in Australia lol
Looks good. Thanks for sharing the tricks and tips. I really like learning from watching these videos. One day soon I hope to start an excavating business, so I am studying at the RUclips Dirt University.
I wish you well and if I can help you just let me know. "RUclips Dirt University" is how I learned a lot of stuff and still learning from it all the time. I've been going, full time, for about 3.5 years and love it. So, learn all you can and go for it! Thanks for commenting too, that really helps the channel...
God Bless,
Sam
You do such nice work Sam.
You are a joy to watch.
Ed from Chicago 🙂
Thanks Ed, I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching and commenting...😁
You did a great job, awesome message
Thanks Larry! Looks like you are on a Tristar Diggin’ marathon…😀
I appreciate you supporting the channel.
Sam
Nice work and great message!
Thanks Kenny I appreciate it...
That trimble earth works is awesome.
Yup, I really like it. Saves a lot of getting in and out checking grade. Is that pretty much like the grade control on your 313?
@@tristardiggin yeah it's pretty much the same I believe. I can add a laser like you have for about 1200.
That was excellent--thank you
Thank you and I appreciate the comment...
A great looking job Sam👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks James! That is so many thumbs up it crossed my eyes and couldn't count all of them 😳
Just stumbled across your channel ! What part of TN are you from ? I just started my channel I’m in Tennessee as well
Sweet! I will check it out. I'm in SE Tennessee, Polk County. Wish you well on your channel. That 1st year to 14 months is rough. Very hard to grow a channel and takes a lot of work. But very rewarding when it starts to take off.
God Bless and Happy Easter...
Awesome job!
Thanks Gary! Have a great Thanksgiving this week.
God Bless,
Sam
Good job!!
Thanks Adrian, I appreciate that…
Great video!
You do a good job explaining.
Iam a town foreman up in Canada, we are purchasing a new excavator for town ditching.
You mentioned if you had the twist wrist attachment and 7 grand you would have purchased a different model laser?
I have ordered the twist / tilt bucket and would like to know what laser would be best for my application. Our excavator is a kubota 040-4?
Thanks in advance !!
Thanks I appreciate that. I use a Topcon RL-H5A dual slope laser and it works great with the Trimble Earthworks system I have on the CAT 304. It is a programable slope laser.
What I referenced in the video had to do with the Trimble Earthworks system on the CAT 304. Not sure how much you know about it but it is 2D grade control for the excavator. If I bought a tilting grade bucket I would also have to buy a sensor for the bucket which would work with Trimble Earthworks. Plus I would have to pay for them to install the sensor and program the computer to recognize it. Hope that made sense. If you want to email me your number I can give you a call to help you figure out what you might need. Tristardiggin@gmail.com
Sam
good video
Thank you Jim!
HEY WHERE'S MY BACON 🤔 LOL 👍🏻 JOB LOOKS FANTASTIC. I WAS WONDERING WHY YOU DIDN'T PUT DOWN ANY FABRIC FIRST I REALIZE OVER TIME STUFF IS GOING TO GET IN THERE ANYWAY. DOES THE CUSTOMER TREAT IT WITH SOMETHING. THANKS FOR SHARING GOD BLESS
I'm stingy with 🥓 😁. Shouldn't be anything get into the pipe since it has rock on both sides and over the top. If anything it would be minimal. That ground was very hard. I was going to get a sock for the 6" pipe but they didn't carry it in the store. Would have to be ordered.
Thanks,
Sam
@@tristardiggin I don't share my bacon either. Cool thanks great job 👍🏻
Question, Could you of cut the middle section at 1.5% the way you did but then come back and cut between the wall and your 1.5% cut area with the 304 and set the earthwork system at 1.5% from wall to first center cut on both sides?
Yes, that would work just fine too.
Thanks,
Sam
@@tristardiggin Thank you for the reply. Love the videos!
And thank you for supporting the channel, I appreciate it...
Man you just tell me something I'm tired of a rake to
Never have found one gas powered!😀
That is a great finished project. Thanks for the message. What kind of Bible do you use?
Thanks Mike. MacArthur Study Bible, NKJV.
It has great commentary notes and cross references
What retaining wall system is that?
Verti-Block. There are a few more videos of different walls I have built using Verti-Block...
Thanks
That dirt looks hard and dry like it is here
Right, it was very hard to dig...
Thanks,
Sam
I dig a power line last week 4foot deep thought I was going to hammer it out lol
4' deep is brutal sometimes. I saw Andrew Camarata using an earth saw in a video. Basically sawing through solid rock. Was neat to see...
