Hi Jonathan, a lovely bright model with smooth sounding pickups. The finish was exemplary with that cherry sunburst. Loved the clean lines. Cheers ✌️🎸💜

Thanks for reviewing these Michael Kelly guitars. Online reviews are almost nonexistent for this brand. I almost bought one of the Teles a couple years ago because of the numerous pickup settings. I ended up not getting one… because of all the pickup settings. Nice guitars, but kind of a Swiss Army Knife. Does a lot of things, but none of them exceptionally well. Glad I got my Sire, instead. These MKs appear to be a great guitar for the money, though!

Love my 53DB in Tiger Eye, it is a very versatile, well made instrument and really like the belly cut and comfort carve. Highly recommended guitar

Thanks, Jon! Love the videos! I’ll probably buy this one, which will be my 5th Michael Kelly, largely based on your awesome reviews. I love their guitars. Next to my Gibson LP Classic, probably my next favorite is a tie between my Heritage H-150 and my MK Patriot. Just great playing and sounding guitars!

Hey Jon! I picked up a 53DB just the other day. I already have one Michael Kelly an S style with a maple fingerboard. I only own S style guitars. My 53DB has a rosewood(ebony?) fingerboard and a tiger burst 3 tone sunburst finish. I thought I'd give this Tele style guitar a try, based purely on this youtube review of yours Jon. Amazing!! first Tele style guitar I fell in love with straight away!! And in my top 3, best guitars that I own now!!

GOOD ONE Jonathan. This guitar has been on radar for awhile. I want the Tigers eye. With 2 humbuckers split coil. Comes with hard shell case. I may pull the trigger this weekend. Good deal for the money. Thanks man 👍💯✌️✌️🎸🎸❤🙏

I like that the bridge pickup is in a traditional Tele style metal surround.

Got one of these yesterday and it is amazing! I think it sounds pretty good but I’m thinking about dropping a set of Seymour Duncan Psyclones in it. I think that would make it sound incredible. This is a beautiful guitar and feels great to play. Easily as well made if not better than guitars costing a lot more. I now have 5 Michael Kelly guitars in my collection and they are all fantastic. Definitely my favorite brand after Gibson, but they sound and play every bit as good as my Gibsons.
*** Update - I had a set of Seymour Duncan Psyclones installed and they sound incredible! I love this guitar and my other Michael Kellys as well. You can’t beat them in their price range. Outstanding instruments!

    Hi there
Could you tell me how these guitars compare to the Harley Benton SC 550
I have a H benton 550 very good but I was Lucky enough to come across some of these guitars whilst driving around America Quite a while back
I can only say I fell in love as soon as I started to play, and then the guy told me the price. To good to be true👍🎸 would you say this model is a beauty or does it have some floors🙏

Hi Jon, Hope you are keeping well.
Did the the back of the maple neck on this guitar have a thin finish or a high gloss finish?

Another great match of music to instrument! Aside from the pickups and the pots, what would you consider the biggest differences between this and something like a Harley Benton Fusion T?

Jonathan, seriously ... retired !? You're too young for that T-shirt, haha 😉 About the guitar, it sounds good, it's beautiful, and worth its price considering the top quality. I enjoy a MK 55 in caramel burst finish over a quilt maple top, and love so much the tones of the neck mini humbucker. Seriously compete with my G&L classic bluesboy.
