Just bought this exact same guitar with the same serial number off the shelf at CityMusic SG. A 5% discount applied resulted in 460SGD spent. Tested a few telecasters: G&L ASAT classic delux, G&L ASAT classic tribute, and more before landing last with this amazingly built guitar with the option of split coil. (Kinda looking for that). I am LOVING it despite its weight. Money well spent. This review made it so much better. ❤ thanks @JonIsJustTooLoud
Hi Jonathan, a great sounding ‘T’ style guitar for the price. Surprisingly one could hear a little twang from those pickups despite the bridge humbucker. Nice looking even under lights. Grey, black, silvery chrome looks appealing. Cheers ✌️🎸💜
There had to be an Irish Link somewhere Jon. With a name like “Michael Kelly” Jon 😂😂😂 What a beautiful Tele and I love that bridge sound and the look of the bridge too. I absolutely loved that intro too Jon. Bravo 😂👍👏👏👏
Loved the playing! Really like it when you get bluesy/rockish! I really like this channel. You give good breakdowns, but I think people would like to see the electronics, especially on the lower pried guitars. Beautiful guitars, though!
I went to Guitar Center and Sam Ash today to see if they had one.... wanted to try one out.....nope . Nice looking guitar and nice sounds you are making :) Thanks Jon
Beautiful. We've received 3 Godins with similar looks - we love real wood. I am looking forward to hearing your view of the pickups ("not too hot" - a good comment).
I cant ever recall seeing a guitar with a volume boost for the coil split, it would help with the drop in volume when splitting a humbucker, I had an Ibanez roadstar in the early'80s that had custom real tapped bridge coils in it, the drop in volume when switching to the tapped coil was minimal and you didnt get any cycle hum either, this is one of the guitars I really regret selling, I should have at least swapped the pickup for a stock humbucker, hindsight eh!
I am in love with this guitar. I do video production and graphic design, intro design, etc. We could probably work out a deal. I am dead serious. I love that guitar and would treat it like a treasure
Pretty cool guitar, but it sounded kind of weak or thin to my ears. I’m usually not a person to immediately suggest pickup changes, but it might be a good idea for this one in my opinion.
Excuse me if this is a wild question (I'm actually a drummer) But would this guitar withstand the test against a Fender telecaster player series? For lets say studio work. Great video btw!
MAN...another pretty offering from this fictitious Michael Kelly fellow... LOL. This company makes some pretty cool, good looking, affordable guitars. 👍This one however requires some serious muscle ! Ha ! 💪
Hate to admit it but the more I play my HB TE-53KR the more I like the neck and the fact I put 11-50 flat wounds on it. ..Sadly the frets are starting to feel pretty sharp to me... I have a fret dressing file from StewMac but I just don't want to take the strings off yet...Anyway, just wish my HB was 3-4lbs lighter. It's 10lbs ! My Squier Strat is 7.11 and my Squier baritone is 7lbs. I've been eyeing that 59 thin line from MK because they said it's 6 or less lbs... Yep, I'm old and have been playing acoustics a loooong time so all these electrics are killing me ! LOL Thing is if a guitar doesn't feel good, you won't play it ! @@JonIsJustTooLoud
