My husband and I watched this video and did exactly everything he said to do. It was absolutely EASY and my husband told me I oversold how hard it would be lol. I was just going based off of the comments I read, but we came to the conclusion that maybe they didn’t watch this video 🤷🏽♀️
Nice way to make it look so easy. The tips are nice, but a new Lovesac is soooooo tight. You can't just pull them on like shown. How do you loosen up the fabric a little? Now that would be the tip ..
My wife and are raging right now trying to get these things on correctly. Dude you need to check your product dimensions on your products. I don't think most people could do this solo.
I wish the sides went on that easy. I literally lost skin off my fingers putting them on they were so tight and they were barely long enough to Velcro on and we used two of us (one of us on each side!). I can't even imagine the struggle to take them off to wash them which I'll probably never get them off as hard as they were to put on! $3k+ for just two seats that I had to put together and then to struggle with those side covers has stopped me from purchasing further larger units.
In discussing the configuration I wanted with the sales people I had no idea that any assembly was required, something I have no interest in at this stage of my life. Had I known I would have walked away. And from there it has gone downhill. This demo has been made with more flexible material than the coverings and padding that I purchased, making it seem much easier than it actually is. But after at least 30 hours, which included determining just what had been shipped and that which still had to be shipped, as well as getting rid of all of the boxes; I'm finished assembling every thing. I hope the coverings can be cleaned traditionally, because I am never going to take them off.
My slate twill side covers did not go on that easily. There should be an option to factory install these. I quit for the day after installing 3 sides to let my hands heal from the friction.
Tweed is brutal for the sides! The deep side went on fine, but if you get on 95% and let it sit for a while, when you re-stretch it, it goes a bit more. But it feels like you’ve been rock climbing all day after 6 of these. Clearly the patterns weren’t tweaked for this fabric type.
If you have 20+ pieces this is a nightmare!! It has taken us so many days to try and complete. These covers must be stretched out or larger because no way in hell its this simple.
Totally agree It is way way harder than he “Shawn “ makes it look. I have a 6 seater with roll arms $9,000.00. I’m on day three and have bloody knuckles from the velcro. I would have gladly paid for a team to come do this job. The furniture itself is extremely high quality. It is just to hard to put together especially for older people.😧I had 20 pieces total . And only halfway done 😞
Placing the covers is very difficult. The seats don’t bend that easily. He clearly had “mock” soft filling for the video. And also if you have two men who are strong and are clearly professional from Lovesac. If you were honest about the difficulty of this process, we at least, would have the option of paying someone to do this!!!
yours seemed more forgiving than mine. I could not on some even get the velco to touch half way and I pulled and pulled... I ended up having my husband finish pulling for me becase my arms were spent!..
We have a LoveSac Sactional and had to wash both the outer seat cover and the inner foam cover. I'm having difficulty getting the foam seat back into the foam seat cover and getting the square shape back. Any suggestions?
Watching this video on a loop while putting on covers - it would be nice if there were separate short videos for each piece instead of all in 1 video. (ie; here’s how to cover a standard/deep side not the same video as the roll arm, storage seats vs standard)
Use rubber playtex gloves (like for dish washing) to put the covers on and it’ll help! Doesn’t necessarily make it easier, but your skin on your knuckles will thank you!!!
How often can you wash your covers? As have kids and pets I would like to be able to keep the covers looking clean and new for as long as I can. Also I am assuming that you can buy new covers if your covers get to old. Is that correct?.
Great couch but assembly took us a whole day. We watched all the tutorials and everything. It’s definitely not that simple… felt like a nightmare to be honest. I dont regret buying it… like I said, great comfy couch but assembly is a nightmare so just be ready for that
You need to include all of the cursing and sweating that goes on while trying to get the covers on. Plan on breaking 10 out of 10 fingernails on this project.
I can't believe these don't come with the covers already on. I'm sick of paying full price and then still having to assemble everything myself. It makes me wonder if the product is very poorly made.
This video is about putting on different or newly washed covers -- if you check out the video on unpacking, you'll see that they do arrive with a set of covers already on.
Mine came separate, I’m installing them today, about halfway done with the seats, leaving the sides till last. So far so good, just time consuming. Being separate like this does give you an appreciation of the quality I guess it also prepares you for washing the covers down the line.
This is a customizable product - both in terms of layout configurations and covers. So, if you want it all to be done for you and requiring no effort on your part, this isn't the product for you obviously. Also, If you're having to assemble things, the reality is you're NOT paying full price. If you price out things that come fully assembled, they're usually not going to be shipped to you - they'll be delivered fully assembled or assembled by delivery people, and that costs more. Always.

Took my wife and I about 5 hours to unbox, set-up, and clean up everything. The instructions in all 3 videos definitely were a lot of help.
This guy, for sure, under-sells how hard it is to get the side fabric on I've got three skinned knuckles just from trying to pull the fabric over.
100% - Knuckles closest to the nail doesn't stand a chance after 8 of these things.

Update? Did you complete your assembly?
Love it or hate it

30 *hours*? Do you work at a DMV?

Can you do a video of how to choose your throw pillow sizes and covers?
Also I would like to see a video of the power hub.

Agreed, I watched this and followed his example and it's like trying to get in to the jeans I wore in HS..

These videos were extremely helpful! Thank you. You guys worked miracles in the packaging.. And we love our new sofa set!
I can't get my covers on my sides. We picked a chenille cover abd the side covers are impossible. Spent 8,000 not cool.

Thanks for the tips and tutorial. Mine are about to be shipped
Just got my today and the seat cover might be uneven I pulled it over completely but one side seems to not get any coverage any tips?
These videos have been very helpful and covering the pieces has been super easy and enjoyable.
Do you want to come do mine before I go to return it?
Use rubber playtex gloves (like for dish washing) to put the covers on and it’ll help! Doesn’t necessarily make it easier, but your skin on your knuckles will thank you!!!
Can I pay someone to do the side fabric on? Going on hour 3 of trying to put covers on it.
I bought the New Reversable covers… and it seems like they aren’t fitting like they are too small.

Think I’ve washed mine about twice every three months or so. Had them since 2020, they still look good **Have dogs**
I already bought it. Im waiting for delivery to be. 2 weeks
These videos were helpful but putting the covers on is much much much more difficult than shown even with following his instructions.
Can the covers be washed in scotch guard?
love it just not the assembly part shits hard!!
WOW GUYS.. THEY LOOK GREAT. but its just to expensive out of reach. i understand that you guys are hitting the upscale tier.
Plus, you will spend hours putting them together, and it will look nothing like they promise.

Accurate!
If I'd started with the sides, I'd have returned it after 2.

i hate how easy he makes it look
What color & material is that?
Grey slub tweed

Hi Emma where do got your Lovesac?
Not true. Mine came separately and I’m about to return them just because of this.
