    Twin baby girls were so very fortunate that they ended up with both arms and legs. And, they were connected in a way they could be separated and end up both having what they needed (plumbing, etc ). Truly fortunate.

      I am autistic and have two autistic boys, this is genetic. No braininjury at all. Autism is neurodiverse. My kids made this development too but without the torturing programm. Accept the children like they are and they develop. No need to do that torture. By the way this man also treats down syndrom as if it is brain injury, but we do know it is a chromosomal disorder and not brain injury at all. Trisomi 21 children can develop well, they do not need this programm.

      @@grumpyoldlady_rants Wow! That's great to hear. It's nice that you said it worked instead of saying it failed because she only progressed by a few months worth of development, as many people would have believed. They could be forgiven for thinking that.
      I realize it doesn't seem like much, but when you consider what a baby acomplishes in that first six months, their perspectives might change. It means the difference between being completely immobile and helpless to being able to enjoy life a lot more. Things like sitting up and playing with toys, putting down the one you get tired of and reaching for and picking up a new one are huge.
      She would be able to eat some solids and even pick up small bits to put in her own mouth. All this would allow her to manipulate her environment more than could have been dreamed of before the therapy.
      Becoming even a tiny bit mobile is probably the most exciting thing. It opens up a huge amount of the world to her.

They thought maybe it was because I was an emergency delivery. You know. Not that my father and mother both have anxiety and I have a chemical imbalance.
      I was put through years of therapy and stupid breathing exercises (like in the video) and stretches and meditation and rewriting things in my brain. It didn’t help.

      It is a bit old, but my father was 54 when I was born. I realize it's harder to be a 51 yr old mother, but you'd be surprised how babies adapt to their parents being older or handicapped. My brother was a quadriplegic and he would take care of his baby when his wife had somewhere to go. When the baby became a toddler he was one of those wild kids who can never sit still. When he was alone with Daddy he never ran away and would climb up on his daddy's lap.

  • @CraigsOverijse

    If this had been hundreds of years ago then cojoined twins would be likely to kill the mother and babies in this day and age of modern medicine a lot more of them survive separation, but I’m amazed they chose to think of doing this so early before they were born and could be properly assessed. It’s more normal to leave them to get bigger and stronger but I guess the bowel obstruction is the real cause of the early surgery,

      No she’s not. Technically a girls eggs are all created while she is still inside her mother making her eggs first the mothers until birth. The mother just has two sets of ovaries full of eggs
      Furthermore if she were to get eggs donated to her what’s to say it wouldn’t be another woman’s youngest child? Same damned thing. She birthed it. She didn’t give it up for adoption. They’re hers she’s the mom.

    • @dammar117
      @dammar117 3 месяца назад

      They are both mothers, and at the same time, one is also the grandmother. Unlike fatherhood, where just a gamete is provided, motherhood is two-part endeavor: providing a gamete AND growing the baby. In this case (as with any with donor egg), motherhood was split into two roles. This makes it ver confusing, but Piper is not those babies' sister. She is their mother, too.
      There are reverse cases with the same biological scenario: the grandmother carries a child created with her daughter's egg, but FOR her daughter.
      IMO, they should have used an unrelated donor.
