Sir, in case you would like to see the event,

I have fired porcelain at 2400 degrees, stoneware at 2300. 800 degrees is a low fire kiln. The lava is running around 1200 degrees when it's running like this, 2200-2400 just out of the crater. When clay cones melt at certain times in the kiln, you know what the temp is if you don't have a pyrometer. Use three for each firing, low, medium, and higher than the temp you want. The first should start to melt, second bend and third shouldn't move. If the third one melts, you have destroyed everything in the kiln and melted it! If it bends, the pottery will be brittle like the tuf that comes from a volcano, you got it to far beyond red hot to white. Once you get to white, everything is about to turn to liquid.

Your doing great with the videos. I wholeheartedly appreciate your perspective on what you’ve been filming for three months. I have a few tips that will help with your viewers. Less overdubbing of dramatic music would be great…more sounds of the environment would be better (not the wind). Also focus more on certain camera views rather than moving all around. For instance you focused on one huge lava rock floating down the river. It would have been cool to see that role out at the bottom somehow. Really good shots of other rocks though tumbling out of the flow. Fantastic work all around. We are lucky to have people like you filming for posterity. I look forward to visiting Iceland someday and your films support this! Stay safe!

Could you slow down the speed at which you pan the camera over large areas, it blurs the images. Also, is it really necessary to show repeats of footage from the beginning of the video, to again run it at the end of the show. Never the less, I appreciate the huge effort you put into your work.
