    When I was a kid, we would cut bands from old inner tubes to put around our boots for better traction on ice.

    For those interested there was a show about this place. Most of the town was owned by one man. Also some time back a person who lived there went nuts and killed most of the residents. The show was called Edge of Alaska.

    We totally enjoyed our helicopter ride and walking on Mendenhall Glacier. Was our fist time at both. Joy wasn't excited about the helicopter ride, but she rode up front with the pilot. I even wore my it's better outside t-shirt to see if it would change color on the glacier

    Great shots of the glaciers! We were there in the summer of 2023, and Wrangell St. Elias was one of our most favorite places in AK. The mountains, glaciers, history, and more are unparalleled. And we too would not recommend that anyone take a trailer to McCarthy; the road is simply too rough. A couple weeks after we visited the area, we saw a video of a class A motorhome that rolled onto its side.

    Such a cool place to visit. Zeus hated that bridge. Took 20-30 minutes to get him across. Those glaciers were crazy. Folks were super friendly. History, its fun stuff.

    Fir st let me say that my wife and I enjoy your videos very much. They are always top notch and well put together. Great work. On the other hand the only thing that really bothers us is that your videos are so far in the past. Here we are watching a video from 5 months ago. For us it would be so much better in they were more current and up to date. Still we love love your content, keep it up.

    I absolutely love y'alls videos. Your confab with Less Junk More Journey im guessing will be pretty phenomenal! I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole trip between the two different view points there where y'all are close but we couldn't hear each other. Not quite able to hear but I can see you quite well. I know you're talking because I can see your lips moving and occasionally hear a little snippits of your voice, but not enough that I can tell you what you're saying. Between the waterfalls, the river passing over the rocks, the number of people conversating its hard to understand a person standing right next to you. I'm really enjoy the extended fearure length video's you're sharing with us lately. They're pretty awesome! Happy trails and safe travels y'all!

    Lol ....."don't take a trailer"
    We did this dinner. 33' ultralight. Broke two leaf springs. Good things we had a spare ... Only one spare :(
    After talking to locals we were lucky. That road is over an old railroad track, the spikes work their way up and if you are lucky they only pop your tire. If you are unlucky it throws the railroad spike through your hood or lodges it in your wheel.
    Yaktrax are the best crampons for RV's. They are very small, S25, and work great on ice, snow, and even mud....

    Wow!! The blue in the glacier is amazing. I have a fear of falling into an endlessly deep crevasse (kind of like the being afraid of quicksand, because as a kid it happened in movies), but I could do this! With crampons. I'm surprised there isn't a crampon rental van right there! Great video :)

    Hi Nickersons
    You guys are like in a very remote location. Just curious. Can a big 3 axle Class A like Entegra Cornerstone or Newmar London Aire reach the location where you have parked your Lineage?

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  4 дня назад

      Technically yes but I wouldn’t really recommend it. I would park the big rig before the dirt and take whatever you’re towing in there.
