Another gorgeous painting. It even looks better than the real leaf!

I was just gifted the set of 60 for Mother's day by my daughter. Thank you for your two tutorials on them. ❤ Would like to see you come out of RUclips retirement and see what else you have for us.😊😊😊

Awww, what a lovely comment! I'm working full-time now and between that and family, I just don't get a lot of time for youtube 😔 it's lovely to know you still like the videos and they are useful ❤

I love this! I've never tried this brand.

Thank you! I'd say they are a good mid-brand watercolour and very economical to buy. There are 60 tubes in this set which gives you lots of choice but I think they do smaller sets too, of 12 and 24 colours. I can watch a review video I made of them on my channel, where I paint a Magnolia flower.

As usual, you inspire me to try new things. Do you find the texture of the Arteza paper easier or more difficult to work with than the more typical paper texture? Have you tried the Arteza peper with the watercolor pens? Thank you for sharing your talent. I look forward to your next posting.

I think I get just as inspired from the comments, they are such an amazing motivator, so thank you!! The paper does have a very regular 'pattern' that I'm not used to and I think I prefer a more random one but it handled very well. It took 4 good layers from me and would probably have taken more. I do have some of the WC pens to use so I'll definitely be doing an upcoming video or two with them! ☺

Nice job! As always, it's so helpful seeing the process broken down. I usually see people wet the paper to make softer blends so it was interesting seeing you get the same effect but from more of a wet in dry technique it looked like. The paper held up pretty well considering it's cellulose, I think it's better than Canson XL actually, though the laid texture makes me wonder if it would be good for charcoal haha.

Thank you! I'd filmed it in real time and it was too long so I'm glad it held up okay with the 'transitions' format I chose. Yeah, I generally don't wet the paper first and I'm not sure why, I think it's just habit 😄 but I do try to work fairly quick so I get the extra water on fast! I should try wetting the paper more before the paint in future, just to see. This paper was good considering the layers I put on - some papers bleed with an edge when you try adding extra layers but this one didn't. I do hear you on the texture though, it's too regular for me, I'm more of a 'random texture over the surface' kinda artist ☺🖒
      Thanks for watching and commenting.

I love your painting but I have to admit I don't like the arteza watercolor paper because of its texture. I like when it's more random.

Hi! I hear you 100% - usually I would use the one on the right in the video, a lightly deckled 'rough' cold press. But in the interests of science 😆 I thought I'd give this paper a shot, and see how it handled, and i have to say it did well and surprised me! Thanks for watching 🖒
