Ugh, sorry to hear that. I keep watching the for-sale channel on Discord for backup units, just in case this happens to me. Good luck. I hope you get it sorted out quickly.
Thanks! Good call on finding used - though my wife is now officially not a fan, less than she was before. Unfortunately she was in the car when an issue arose and there’s no soft landing from the ear piercing beeping from the unit, followed by the Christmas lights on my dash, and the icing on top of “please visit the dealer” message on the infotainment screen lol

Also, has anyone in the community offered to look at logs in order to see where it’s breaking down? These things have pretty robust logging and should be able to tell you what component is breaking down. This doesn’t look like an absolute failure. Also, what happens when you start your car with the everything but the comma 3 connected? If it still faults LKAS, then the comma 3 isn’t your problem.
Had my logs looked at when these began last year, and it pointed to usual communication errors that a new cable should remedy. I have been driving my car with stock TSS2.0 with no issues.
Until it comes actually installed with OpenPilot (they get the proper regulatory compliance from NHTSA or what ever body is needed to sell a self driving product), it’s a “devkit” lol I don’t have the discretionary funds (nor can justify) to buy another unit atm and TSS2.0 has been serving me well for pure highway, so I’m not sure what the next move is at the moment.
If you disconnect the C3 but leave the harness, relay, and res of the wiring in place, does the fault go away? Because it *should*. If it doesn't then that might indicate there's something wrong with your car. If it does, then I'd check to make sure the USB-C connector on the Comma 3 isn't damaged, or dirty. It might be a poor connection on the C3 that's causing your issues.
