Cool episode. Balance is my favorite VH album with Sammy. Love that Sammy is playing that live on this tour. Was wondering if you would talk about Psycho Circus, since it wasn't recorded at Little Mountain. I'm not sure Bruce was the right choice for that album.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, guys. Tim, my story is similar to yours. I got Slippery When Wet on cassette in 1986, but I was four. Bruce did produce the single Real Life that Bon Jovi did for the movie Edtv. Bruce did get Drew Arnott from Strange Advance to sample a Mellotron for Igor to use on Yes's The Ladder. Drew played one himself on the Aerosmith songs Angel and The Movie. Bob Rock mixed Get Lucky and Keep It Up. He didn't engineer them. Keith Stein did the engineering. Bruce is credited with additional recording and mixing for the first Survivor album. I have some Loverboy and Survivor reissues from Rock Candy. Interesting that you stuck with Aerosmith until Get A Grip. Many people I talk to got off the Aero train for Permanent Vacation. My favorite Bruce productions are the Bon Jovi albums and The Ladder. I also dig Bruce's production on the Bon Jovi song Love Is War, especially the way the backing vocals sound. I have the 2 disc version of that New Jersey reissue. I wish that Bon Jovi had more deluxe reissues. Yes, Diamond Ring was re-recorded for These Days. The version that's on the New Jersey reissue was actually mixed by Bob Rock in 1988. I'm not really into Poison. So, I only have the first album. From what I read, Bon Jovi liked Bruce's production for Black N Blue, and Bob's engineering on Big Prize. I would like to know if Mike Reno is on Living On A Prayer
