Yes you surely miss the part where to get the whole housing out and the rivet. Also changing the speaker do I need to match the ohms What's the factory ohms recommend two or four ohms. Please let me know. Thanks
They are 6 1/2 inches if I’m not mistaken. The stock stereo can power a set of 250w speakers. I don’t think they sell anything with less watts that’s worth buying. But I’m not sure
Man, my left speaker started a rattle sound like 2 weeks ago and it's driving me crazy. Def gotta replace it or investigate. It's like something small fell into it every bass hit it flies around
Sounds like the exact reason why I had to replace these ones. And true something could fall down and get in the way of the speaker in between the door panel.
I always set the speakers side by side face down and connect the wires matching with the stock speaker’s. I honestly can’t remember but you can google it or go to 12v.com
Left Wire from old speaker goes to left wire on new speaker and right wire goes on right side of new speaker When facing the same way next to each other. Sorry for the late response. 😅
not speakers. mini subs. I got mine all apart and put in new speakers to find out they are subs. They are 2ohm if anyone is wondering.
you skipped right over the part that I needed, did you drill out the pop-rivets?
Yes I thought that was obvious so I didn’t edited in to save time on the video

I remember I just drilled them out and I said that in the video. I used forum speakers on them and they sounded fine.
Thank you very much for that info that was a very good video
Thank you for watching, feel free To request a video if you need help with anything
What size are the speakers and recommended watts

How do you remove those screws to the frame of the speaker?
Screwdriver
What is the positive and negative on each door speaker

The speakers are way harder to remove from my frame. It looks like they have plastic support pieces that connect to the frame/braket.
I cut out the support in mounted the new speaker to the frame of the old one
Does the Lexicon amp have enough juice to power the aftermarket speakers. How is the overall quality?
It does, but you want to figure out and match the ohms on the speakers and the wattage
@@sheadreamz got it. I’m pretty sure they are a 2
Ohm impedance
@@AlwaysUpgradingRCTurko what are the factory ones? If the ohms are lower, then it could fry the amp.
I meant to say, if the speaker ohms are lower than what the amp can handle, it can fry it
@AlwaysUpgradingRCTurko awesome, sorry I couldn’t be more of a help, but I do use 12 V.com when I have questions
How did you get the rivets out?
Sorry it took so long I just drilled them
What speakers did you buy
I can’t remember, it was a customers car
Wiring??
