I have a 2011 4.6 Genny that I like to do EVERYTHING myself, so it gets done right, and nobody to blame but myself if it doesn't. WE APPRECIATE YOU MAN!!! KEEP IT UP!!!🙏💪
So much effort putted in this video and so well explained for someone who doesn’t have any experience and still wants to do that by himself. Thank you for the good job!
I would recommend wiring these 4ohm dual VC speakers in parallel to get a 2ohm stable impedance. Maybe it's just me. 🤷🏼♂️ He's a link how. ruclips.net/video/smw-6VRy5QY/видео.html
Its single voice coil not dual but yes you could "IF" you can find this size in a duel coil option with the low watts required. Most brands wont offer all 3 options unfortunately so its a take 2 situation, I went with size and watts and settled for 4ohm
Boy have you got a lot to learn, ever hear of Crutchfield? They sell 6.5" "subs" in 2 ohm and 4 ohm, single or dual voice coils. And they sell Metra speaker brackets for select 2010 - up Hyundai's for $20 bucks saving you all that work butchering the OEM speakers. Speaking of speaker impedance you do realize now that you installed 4 ohm "subs" the amplifier will be producing half of it's potential output power, it's not "seeing" a 2 ohm load. BTW I'm in no way affiliated with Crutchfield, just an occasional customer.
I used what Amazon had available at the time and yes I know being 4ohm it will require more power to push them so I just turned the bass up on the head unit and it works great. Yes I know you can go the factory option and get new subs for the doors but these subs are a better quality over OE and didn't cost that much anyway, I didn't mind reusing the original spacer unit because it didn't take to much work and was a good solution if someone else like myself found themselves in the position of needing to do something on the fly to make it work. Also, keep in mind you're not forced to follow this video and do anything the way I did it. This is simply the way I did it and an option for anyone else to see how everything is from factory to be able to make a decision on how they want to do it.
subs* and because they were the lowest watts/ quality subs I could find. Anything else in any other brand required more power to push and i'm not going to replace my factory amps for basic door subs. Also they sound better then stock and complement my 2 12s in my trunk.
@@GenerationGarageabout to buy right now, do you believe I should get some OEM eBay replacements for all 5 with roughly $200 or stick with the aftermarket’s, I also do enjoy bass how does it perform

Trying to remove and replace the whole door. Any tips.

I appreciate it, thank you
Do mean these are components? Do they get mid-high or just lows?
As subs its mainly just the lows
Do you recommend to replace the amplifier as well..??
If you want more bass then you can add a aftermarket amp to power them but the factory one does fine for me
@@GenerationGarage ok cool... Is the difference compare to the stock speakers mild or significant in music quality..?
@@radekpasecny4538 Its about the same, the stock system is pretty decent to begin with
Which one is positive and negative on the door speakers
its at the end of the video.. 27:46 you can also use a multimeter to test it
Did you use just generic 14 gauge wire?
@@smokeordie08 that or 12 but yes
So what happens if you put speakers instead of subs. M8ne gas too much base
Sounds like trash
I have a question bro!! 6.5 is in 4 doors or what size is in the back?
8"
You can do a sound review
Camera wont do justice unfortunately but its better then stock forsure
What version of stereo does your Genny has? Lexi on Non Lexi?
Lexicon with navi
@@GenerationGarage it's the full package right? With 17 speakers?
@@bumpininthecrib5568 yeah
How do I add a 4 channel to stock radio or change it out
you can run a new amp and all new wiring or just do a high low converter out to rca would also work
Thanks I have an 09 Genesis
that install reminds me of a very low end stereo shop, but as long as it works for u, hopefully no one follows this install.
Made it work with what I had on a budget and in my opinion it came out great and looks and sounds good behind the grill
Thanks bud
