Tour de France favourite Tadej Pogacar: "I caught Covid ten days ago"

Tour de France favourite Tadej Pogacar revealed on Thursday that he caught Covid-19 ten days ago as he prepared for this year's race which starts on Saturday.
The Slovenian - winner in 2020 and 2021 - is regarded by most observers as the rider to beat after he won the Giro d'Italia last month but said his bout of Covid wasn't serious.
Pogacar said the virus "wasn't too bad" and hadn't affected his preparations.
Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard will also line-up but said "everything is a bonus" after overcoming serious injuries following a crash in April.
