What a cool addition for China, they needed this so bad cus while the previous Type 99 MBTs are good they certainly aren't ZTZ 99A type of good in my opinion.
Go to Controls>Common under Basic>Camera Mouse Look Speed, to fix the new ground sensitivity, I've found that 20% feels similar to how it did before

The ZTZ-99A is China's "Goal 3rd-gen MBT", but due to a long period of engine and transmission lag, China had to put into service the earlyZTZ-99s, which could be put into production quickly, while continuing to improve the ZTZ-99, which was finally confirmed as the ZTZ-99A in 2010, after which China spent another several years improving the reliability of the transmission system. It was not until 2015 that the ZTZ-99A was finally put into mass production and be in active service in the PLA. For the Chinese, this is an MBT that has been late for twenty years.
Only thing i hope they will change is its gun depression, it has elevated roof for this reason but they gave it stock t-72 depression meh

Actually ZTZ99A is a brand new tank that was want to name like ZTZ10(produced at about 2010).But JP had Type 10 earlier.

impressive how everyone thought Gaijin was going to buff 99A's turret traverse and fix the hull armor, add fy5... Instead Gaijin nerfs the hull armor (it's now weaker than 99III and dm53 pens almost everywhere), made an even larger driver hole for no reason whatsoever, nerfed the neutral steering speed (engine rpm below 1000), also acceleration is nerfed as well... With a 577pen dtc round it's a joke compared to 122a/b and even the aim abrams, worst 11.0 on arrival other than the TES?

@@oliversearle3996 The hull needs FY-5 and a composite buff its a direct upgrade to the 99 II and III it shouldn't have a weaker hull.

@@oliversearle3996 Indeed, it's the only fix 99a received other than turret traverse and elevation (only 7 degrees/s for elevation tho). And if we consider the introduction of fy5 then the turret NERA only provides 600mm KE, whilst the nerf on hull is even worse, 460KE is a joke (the headlight area for some reason gets only a block of steel instead of composite, which isnt right as the headlight is actually interchangable with fy4 and thus the mounting spot can be changed to anywhere else, no point to make that area different to anywhere else)

BVVD said they will add laser suppress system in the live. if that comes true ,7.1s reloading can be acceptable,or buff it to 6.5s like t-80

This is the arcade version of a map. I'd be kinda happy if they have actually decided to use this one for both modes
The problem is when doing neutral steering the rpm
Is not added comparing to other MBT, but if u switch to manual transition mode, you can press W to raise the rpm, and neutral steering will be much faster.
Honestly, the 99A was a lot worse than I expected. But that doesn't stop me from thinking she's pretty.
Yeah, with this update, the arcade (small) versions of Maginot, Fulda, and Vietnam are now available to play in tank rb, with the reverse now being true for arcade (the large tank rb maps can be played in arcade)

I played in the first hour of the patch release and still impressed how many whales their are.
Teams that consists more then half of ZTZ-99As.
I think it costs around 8000 GE to covert the RP and then they seemed to have all the modules too - so again around 2000 GE at least.
For just 1 vehicle at patch hour.
Gaijin has enough funding.
But I enjoyed slapping them in my USSR lineup.
you forgot some even had the M1A1 AIM just 1 hour after the patch, and that shit cost roughly the same, Gaijin had more than enough funding

The poor guy, they bounced of my angled Sprut turret and then I fragged his roof.
He sent me nice and calm words for this.

2000 GE won’t get you more than 4 mods. Coming from someone who got it immediately. I haven’t seen that many of them though. So far the only one on my teams I’ve seen.
I also enjoyed bonking USSR tanks lol. I laugh at their lack of reverse.

The DTC actually slaps like 3BM60 and has better muzzle velocity. Too bad Gaijin ignores the bugreports about vertical guidance speeds and gun depression.

@@theoriginalcornisgood2.0 I love how people point out the US crying, the US is still using a 1980s tank with gen 1 thermals and NV, like c'mon of course they are going to complain, also just be glad that neither DM53 or M829A2 have had their anti-ERA properties implemented, you would quickly realise neither FY4-5 is enough for tank armour, also even if DTC10 got its correct values nothing would change, it wouldn't pen NATO/Russian turrets whilst their round can already pen NATO/Russian hulls. Meanwhile the US still has 3 more Abram versions to come, if you guys already think the M1A2 is 11.0 worthy imagine the M1A2 SEP2/3 and M829A3, it will make the ZTZ99A look like a joke, so stop complaining at least you now have a top tier tank, something not even Italy has.
FYI both US and Germany have terrible WRs at top tier, Russia has been dominating for ages now, hence why everyone complains about top tier. Also even if the gun depression and reload are fixed, I don't see how they would change their interactions with other tanks, the ZTZ99A is pretty much on par with other tanks, it doesn't have anything that makes it inherently better, it has similar armour to Russia and similar movement speeds to NATO, but your armour is reliant on RY4-5 which is done after getting shot, with Sweden getting a new APFSDS, I would be more worried about facing them then the the ZTZ99A.

@@theoriginalcornisgood2.0 hopefully they'll fix it I was really passionate about this vehicle in my community and seeing so many bug reports ignored and placeholder numbers slapped instead of real ones just enraged me. PLA has so many amazing vehicles you can implement to Warthunder but Gaijin being Gaijin most likely we won't see them.

I noticed the free look sensitivity issue as well , easy fix in the control settings. I set it to 25% same as aim sens.

The gun shots on this tank sound like the vine boom for some reason.
Liechtenstein also made an awesome WW1 skin for the 8,8cm Flak.
Its suppose to have FY-5 on the HULL lol, -7 depression (due to the angle the tank sits at) and I'm not sure about this one as its heavily debated but a 6ish second reload.

It does have a new auto loader, but I don't think Gaijin would change the reload. I am expecting DTC to have a better pen since this round is way too underpowered at 11.0.

Hell when you get the 96A you will have a blast. Easily one of if not the best armored tanks at 9.7. Plus good optics and gen 2 thermals it’s a nasty 9.7.

Welp, not sure what to think of this maginot change. The old one just needed some better protected spawns and fixing some cheese and it would have been almost the perfect war thunder map.

TY90 has 6km all-aspect lock and same launch range, considering this number it's actually broken (even better than AIM9L), I'd say the Z19E is a better AA for chinese endgame, at least at current state

edit: just saw the ZTZ99A did not get its 6 swx reload. I hope it will get fixed in the future as its very easy to find proof for that online.

@@a_komainu It has nothing to do with that, Gaijin doesn't seem to like the idea of giving other countries another countries top tier MBTs if that country made no changes to the vehicle they received, it completely destroys their top tier uniqueness, especially seeing as the M1A2T is just a M1A2 SEPv3 that doesn't use DU for armour, so no I would be extremely surprised if Gaijin thought it was a good idea and gave China an M1A2 SEPv3, could be wrong, but if it does come it would most likely go in the US tree as a premium or something similar to what they have done with the Australian M1A1 AIM.

People have the Squadron Abrams already? I mean, why pay GE for it when it is not even premium...
To be fair, the grind for squadron vehicles can be long so I understand why some people go for it with GE but there are also a lot of people who would rather spend GE for vehicles in general.
tbh you can buy it and get talisman for it so that might be a reason, or aussies got too thirsty for it
you can save squadrons points so when a vehicle comes out you can spend them immediately on a new vehicle does not necessarily mean that someone spent gold on it.

ZTZ-99A is definitely the agility that China desperately needs at top tier. Hopefully we can see something like VT-4 or ZTQ-15 to back it up later.
Also IMO the TY-90 is currently the best helicopter based AA missile in game (except Vikhr of course), large tracking zone, 20G overload, good range, and there are fricking 8 of them! It's night and day difference when compared to things like Stinger or Igla, and still as good if not better than AIM-9L.

Kinda annoying the 99A didn’t get atleast a 6s reload, there’s videos of it reloading in 5 seconds, even half a second faster than standard would’ve been nice.

Its same as the non premium challenger mk1, nothing diffirent. challenger 1 is a pretty good tank for its br, it is not slow, it has decent reverse, decent armor, and thermal, thats enough for a premium.

I absolutely fucking despise it, that they apparently ruined the few good and large maps I actually enjoy in this game like Maginot, or Vietnam for what I've seen.
In addition to that I still got pretty bad lagspikes now and then that started appearing for me with Wind of Change.
So I'm actually happy that my premium runs out in one day because thats really enough for me giving this game at least a bigger break... also good that GHPC is now becoming a thing.
it's still full of bug. The depression should be -7 and the hull apparently according to the sub forums has fy-5 not fy-4.

Grind the Israel tech tree but only use the M51. Its shell can pen everything, and I mean everything. And its repair costs is extremely low compared to tanks at its BR
