I'm not usually a fan of helicopter gameplay but this video was really entertaining! I like the mix of ground and air instead of just an all air video.
81x optics is actually rly fun considering my time on the A109EOA-2, it has I-TOW which are slightly better and the same 81x optics, can literally target the exact hatch I want this missile to land
It’s honestly too much sometimes. I rebound my scroll-wheel to zoom after playing that heli instead of collective. Going from the A.109 optics to MI-24P/V or Ka-29 is painful though
I know we all hate being spawn killed by cas but the difference with cas being spawn killed is it costs like 700+ sp for a jet.Tanks only cost 100sp to 300 on later spawns. Cas should be slightly more survivable. Fact is it's really hard to stay alive as cas now and most the time someone spawns cas they die leave the game and that team loses because they can't spawn a tank anymore
So long as CAS can spawn camp tanks, I don't see the problem. I don't even take ground ordinance and first spawn TY-90s to keep the skies clear so that my teammates can actually play their tanks. Really relaxing way of playing when you don't feel like sweating and the angry DMs are always worth a laugh. Just wish Gaijin would buff Iglas, Stingers, and Mistrals perform similarly so I could do this w/ more nations. "Really relaxing way of playing" while the spawn camp for CAS is everything but "relaxing". Like you say : this is not even a challenge for doing that and the worst is you are proud of yourself. Just a terrible pretext for miserable pilots. I teamkill every Z-19 I see doing that, and i'm really satisfied then.

I could also call your way to play (which is absolutly miserable) a cheat.
The thing is Chinese heli's while not bad against ground are more suited to the close air patrol (CAP) role and while having TY90's at 9.3 is very funny only having 4 of them can be quite awful if you run into a lot of su25s with their magic DM or god forbid a Mi28A that sees you (ty90's struggle for tracking them frontally for some reason + their stupid DM = death). So in short, never feel bad about TY90ing people because that's what these helis are designed for; anti air duty.
Seeing this thing makes me want a OH-1 with properly working Type 91 Kai missiles to help fight CAS, don't even care that said heli can't really ground pound there's not many great CAS options for Japan anyways so might as well get another anti cas option.
Anyone who plays Z-9W and only brings AA missiles is a true team player. They cleared drones and CAS and let ground players do their thing without getting jump scares by drones ATGM or CAS obliterating you just 50 meters from spawn. I really think it's 9.3 because of its piss-poor ATGM. 250m/s 3km range is well within SPAA and 2S38, BMP-2M, and Chadley, in addition, to manually guiding the missile. If you don't bring ATGM, you can do nothing against the ground and only air. Unlike the Mi-28 or even the Z19, separated by 1.4 BR...
Tips. If you know there's a Chinese heli with TY-90 camping in the heli pad, bring rockets! Start firing the rocket as you go for him. He wil most likely to lock the rocket motor than you. If you have flare, start flaring before he launch.

My only problem is the china heli tree starts at 8.7 when it has a great lineup at 8.3. And u want to stick to 8.3 so u can avoid the 9.7 gold-noob dumping, and there isn't any decent CAS near 8.3. Your best option is a shitty IL-28 clone, and a garbage F-84G. Also the Z-9WA is even stronger, + thermals, and u most likely end up on 9.7 anyway!
Im not gonna lie but you should be happy you have them Ty-90s against su-25s all-aspect missiles cuz that's pretty much all that Heli has going for it and its big times whatever view and agility but that's all it has really. But the Z-19 gets a lovely bunch of 8 and then the Z-10 gets the 16 but against everything it sees that's really nothing cuz the Ty-90s don't lock on at 6km for me barely ever it's more like 4.5km ish if im lucky. But the HJ-8C at only a 3km distance is not that great, hell that's too close and it flies so slow that if you got a coherent enemy player you are screwed. But most at that BR get at least 3.75km distance or 4km. But the 9.7 Mi-24p and such gets them great R-60MK all-aspect and 5km Shturm. But i guess Gaijin has to equal it out some how But hitting that Khrizantema-S in the front wont really do much with the HJ-8C it will just get eaten by the fuel tank.

Seeing the Z-9W I think it might not be too much to ask to add the OH-1 since it would have a very similar gameplay loop. If they added the proposed attack variant (don't know if that one was actually built or not?) it could touch ground but not very well and it's primary purpose would be anti air

IR mssiles need a buff against helicopters tbh can easily pick up fast or slow flying planes at 6km but a 1800 degree turbine on a heli, nah need to be AT least 3km for it and cant lock uavs until they are 3.5km and closer definitely needs a buff to all seekers for more range
that French 9.0 Gazelle gets the mistral 6km all aspect AAM and that's an even lower BR then this Chinese Heli and get the Hot-1 with a 4km distance. So this French ones a bit better off by the looks and more agile
This missile is actually broken and there is no counter to it. I once dived on a Z-11 with my engines off since 30s prior with basically no heat signature. It still locked and tracked me through the flares altho the game says my heat is pretty much room temperature. I stopped playing the game at this point cus Gayjin keeps adding bs like this

chinese tanks and heil is a tourture in game, don`t just focus on how op TY90 is. the other thing in chinese tech tree are all been "changed" into a lesser version than reality, chinese new vehicles never have a time period to be op when they are newly released. i think the main reason is that gaijin is a russian game company, with ridiculous russian bias. bvvd just can`t take the fact that chinese are now having more advance tanks and planes than russians, i believe everyone would agree with me if you been overwhlemed by those 2s38 and t72av and su25. this kind of russian esteem would eventually kill this game. everyone want to join great russian fed in game, but in reality, noone want to, because if so you would been sent to urkrine with real russian vehicles that preform in a REAL way, which sucks.
Actual Russian vehicle bias hasn't existed for years, their stuff is just as squishy as everything else now, often times even more so. But they just have absolutely cracked lineups at most br's due to the number of vehicles in the tree - leading to inflated win rates. Granted that krizantema eating a couple of missiles was scuffed but that is an extreme exception due to mind blowing luck and not the rule.

I mean, it is pretty good for taking out air vehicles. I see him on the kill feed all the time. But I always drive the Abrams, and they cannot kill me even with two or three missiles.
I cant explain how much I hate chinese helis, 90% of the time I die in a jet it's to a ty90 from the z19e. The other 10% is from the 2s6 Adats or the 2s38. I understand cas can be overwhelming but missle spaa at high teir destroys cas before they can reach the battlefield
Z19e presses 2 button and gets easy kills on a jet, jets on the other hand have to watch for missles non stop and be ready to flare, not fly in a straight line at all, maintain speed to be able to dodge missles all while trying to look at the ground for targets, it's near impossible
Skill issue, "JuSt SpAwN sPaA" to destroy that heli, come on do it! What if you, maybe, brough out your plane into Air RB? Tankers aren't there to serve you as a stupid piñata, we want tank on tank combat and not "Get hit by 2000 pound guided bomb" combat

TY90s are harder to dodge but vikhrs have no smoke trail so you can miss em in a head on, also anything with vikhrs also has a radar guided 30mm gun which is DISGUSTING in terms of hitting planes going mach 1.1 on the deck

The drone is used for three things; revenge kills, scouting for teammates, and for people who don't have CAS at the BR they're playing.
Im the 3rd lol, 10.0 ground ussr but the yak 9u is the farthest plane I've got

The TY-90 is explicitly made for helicopter air combats, and that's why its low-altitude performance is so great.
tip: if u get a night battle go to option and turn gamma correction all the way up, makes it easier and brighter

TY90 struggles to lock on drones and fighting Ka50s will oftentimes require 3 missiles to kill them since ka50 countermeasures are immune

You can set the thermal colour scheme in the options. Green, red or white.

chinese tanks and heil is a tourture in game, don`t just focus on how op TY90 is. the other thing in chinese tech tree are all been "changed" into a lesser version than reality, chinese new vehicles never have a time period to be op when they are newly released. i think the main reason is that gaijin is a russian game company, with ridiculous russian bias. bvvd just can`t take the fact that chinese are now having more advance tanks and planes than russians, i believe everyone would agree with me if you been overwhlemed by those 2s38 and t72av and su25.
this kind of russian esteem would eventually kill this game. everyone want to join great russian fed in game, but in reality, noone want to, because if so you would been sent to urkrine with real russian vehicles that preform in a REAL way, which sucks.

Actual Russian vehicle bias hasn't existed for years, their stuff is just as squishy as everything else now, often times even more so. But they just have absolutely cracked lineups at most br's due to the number of vehicles in the tree - leading to inflated win rates. Granted that krizantema eating a couple of missiles was scuffed but that is an extreme exception due to mind blowing luck and not the rule.

I cant explain how much I hate chinese helis, 90% of the time I die in a jet it's to a ty90 from the z19e. The other 10% is from the 2s6 Adats or the 2s38. I understand cas can be overwhelming but missle spaa at high teir destroys cas before they can reach the battlefield
A 2s38 that cost 100sp to spawn absolutely destroys my jets that cost 700sp with ease it's kinda scuffed
Z19e presses 2 button and gets easy kills on a jet, jets on the other hand have to watch for missles non stop and be ready to flare, not fly in a straight line at all, maintain speed to be able to dodge missles all while trying to look at the ground for targets, it's near impossible
Skill issue, "JuSt SpAwN sPaA" to destroy that heli, come on do it!

@@Sebastian-yl7nq yea I play tanks main and I get it, there honestly should be a tank only mode but gayjin won't do that, and my point is cas and missle spaa are not balanced and ty90s are broken for the br. I'm not saying cas should be able to murder every tank they want but they should be able to evade missles from 8 km away. It's the fact that a z19e, sits under the air spawn and insta kills a 800 sp jet

@@Fjordzera not really, they are better then what the Alouette gets, and the alouette is one of the most deadly aircrafts at its br, it is pretty dumb how people are anti CAS but are fine with this, seeing as it is worse then most CAS, because most SPAA at their BRs can do anything against them.

These chinese helis are so annoying. I would not complain if they only kill CAS, but they usually destroy ground first and ALSO destroy fighters trying to intercept them....
Vikhrs are still worse but the TY90 is a close second, both of them being stupidly strong

@@Northern00 Vikhrs are usable for anti-air, and great against ground targets. TY-90s only shit on other aircraft, which is absolutely based, so not really a competition here.

TY90s are harder to dodge but vikhrs have no smoke trail so you can miss em in a head on, also anything with vikhrs also has a radar guided 30mm gun which is DISGUSTING in terms of hitting planes going mach 1.1 on the deck
