Hello, I was just wondering about the amount of smoke and noise. If you use an air filter would I be able to use it in apartment?

How is your beamo going? any problems?
@@livelandings747 mostly good. I've had some issues, like a bug where the laser would suddenly stop working and I would have to reboot the device. I think a firmware updated fixed it though. Then one of the switches broke on the auto-leveler so I need to get some warranty repair work done at some point...
But overall it's good. :)

Got a new machine and tried cutting on
a 2mm acrylic but the default setting of 3mm cut did not cut through at the first run (just a light scratch). I ended up repeating the cut 8 times to get the result and the edges are not clean. Any tips on that?
What's the smallest hole size will it cut ? Will it make a 1/16 hole size
Is the software 100% internet-based like the Glowforge...meaning it requires internet to run and if you lose internet you can't run your machine?

Wow, it can cut 5 mm transparent acrylic? I understand that cutting transparent acrylic requires higher power of at least 60 watts.

Where is the best place to get poly and acrylic at a good price in the US?
Good question. I don’t know. I’m in Canada. Here in Toronto it’s “Plastic world” and “Johnson industrial plastics”
Any issues out of the box? The Flux forums seemed to have a ton of people with bad experiences and that forced me to slow down and do more research on the best available options.

Hard to justify, when you can get a 50W CO2 unit that can cut 3-times the thickness, and over twice the size material, for 50% lower price- turn-key, complete with software. It should be about $650, not $1,900.
Andrew Denis you’re not going to get a ready to run, quality laser for less that this. The lasers you speak of are hard to use Chinese products that have horrible build quality and are not user friendly at all. The software is garbage, and usually bootlegged.

Man you know nothing about chinese lasers lmao....they are easy to tune for like nothing....your Beamo is k40 with different case 🤣🤣🤣 and 6x higher price 🤣
It’s really not lol k40 doesn’t have the software or build quality this has, nor the features as well
