Words from John Stockwell, CIA agent who was based in Accra at the time of the coup.
"Howard Bane, who was the CIA station chief in Accra, engineered the overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah. Inside the CIA it was quite clear. Howard Bane got a double promotion, and was awarded the Intelligence Star for the overthrow of Kwame. The magic of it was that Howard Bane had enough imagination and drive to run this operation without ever documenting what he was doing and there wasn’t one shred of paper that was generated that would name the CIA hierarchy as being responsible.”

When ever I see such videos about the great son of Africa, tears runs down my face.
We're only left with the nostalgia of what Ghana would've become if Kwame was allowed to go on with his works.

RIP: Osagefo President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his beloved wife Fatia fata Nkrumah.
So sad, and unbelievable pains and suffering Story of Ghana, after absence of President Osagefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
I become speechless and depressed every time I hear these documentaries and don't know what to say, and if not for the sakes of history, I won't listen to this shameful and disgraceful story of ungrateful and unreasonable Ignorant people of Ghana, the stupid foolish Traitors Soldiers' unforgivable behaviour towards Ghana and the citizens.
After February 1966 and 57 years ago after the absence of Osagefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah things and life had never been the same as it should be in Ghana and No genuine and honest capable President has been able to take over the management of political affairs of Ghana. What a great Shame on the Traitors of CIA and shameful confusing Ghanaian soldiers who took part of the overthrow of our great visionary President Osagefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and his Ghana and Africa?
Ghana government at past and present are full of bribery and corruption practices. All of them taking care of their own personal Selfish interests Gains in Ghana.

The last time I saw him was February 19th 1966 at Aggrey Memorial Secondary school Junction. He was returning to Accra from a visit to the Western region. I was with Blankson Wood,Abaka,Forland, and one other person I don't remember the name. He was changing cars because of many attempts in his life. The way Ghana was developing if he has remained in office Ghana will be like China by now.

What Ghana has been experiencing politically today is not the result if Nkrumah's curse, but the curse of external influence and a section of the Ghanaian society who ignorantly and foolishly condoned and connived with the foreign powers that be. Reading some of the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's books are enough a proof that Ghana will never be the same again.. and needless to say, we're already witnessing it. Unfortunately, Ghanaians brought a curse upon themselves in 1966.. and the worst is yet to unfold. Because chronological political events that have taken place after the 1966 coup easily states this fact.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah was a great man by all standards, but always painting him as a saint is sometimes nauseating. This is a man who inherited an amount of about 200million pounds, with no debt with a population of just 6 million. After 9 years in office had had blew it all up and left the country with a debt of 250million pounds.
Yes he gave us independence but he was a reck, give us a break with your ugly noise.
