What the man is saying is true. I worked at the castle. Sometimes people took the law into their hands to hurt other people. You the same Ghanaians used to come to the castle to report your friends in business just so that Rawlings will do something to them but thank God Rawlings never acted. You Ghanaians. Rawlings might have ordered some people to be killed but we don't know. People write history to suit them and thus exactly what's going on right now. His explanation of the conversion was very messy but it was not cleared up with the appropriate questions by the interviewer. 2. How could this man, a driver, have known anything about the decisions in the closest of inner circles of Rawlings that led to the death of the judges? The argument that Rawlings was not the person who pressed the trigger for the bullets to be fired is so inane, it needs no comment. 3. If Jandu and Tekpor did not know where Amedeka went after they arrived at Burma Camp, how could this driver know who instructed and what the instruction to Amedeka was. Yes, he says Amedeka would claim that it was Amartey Quaye who instructed him to kill the judges, but he, this driver, was not there when Amedeka walked into a room at Burma Camp. These attempt to “clean things up” by such people only serve to inflame matters. All we know is that at the time of execution, Rawlings walked to Amartey who had been tied to a pole and readied for execution with a tape recorder, ostensibly to obtain a “death-bed” confession. To this day, nobody, except Rawlings, knows the contents of that tape, or if there was any such recording to begin with. Please, we are not babies to be given such comments by a driver who claims the innocence of Rawlings in the murder of the judges!

What power did he had alone to to be the mastermind of this operation.Mind you ,this happened in a curfew period.Nobody could drive through town without an authorized pass which can be only issued by either Rawlings, kojo tsikata and another top official. Tsikata said this by himself during the NRC cross examination.Rawlings vowed to punish the judges who freed the captives the AFRC kept in custody after the coup.Rawlings and kojo tsikata were the mastermind but they used Amata kwei as a scapegoat simple.

Such interviews reveal a lot both about the interviewer and the interviewee.
1. If this man was fighting on the side of government, how did he become a driver for Rawlings? His explanation of the conversion was very messy but it was not cleared up with the appropriate questions by the interviewer.
2. How could this man, a driver, have known anything about the decisions in the closest of inner circles of Rawlings that led to the death of the judges? The argument that Rawlings was not the person who pressed the trigger for the bullets to be fired is so inane, it needs no comment.
3. If Jandu and Tekpor did not know where Amedeka went after they arrived at Burma Camp, how could this driver know who instructed and what the instruction to Amedeka was. Yes, he says Amedeka would claim that it was Amartey Quaye who instructed him to kill the judges, but he, this driver, was not there when Amedeka walked into a room at Burma Camp.
These attempt to “clean things up” by such people only serve to inflame matters. All we know is that at the time of execution, Rawlings walked to Amartey who had been tied to a pole and readied for execution with a tape recorder, ostensibly to obtain a “death-bed” confession. To this day, nobody, except Rawlings, knows the contents of that tape, or if there was any such recording to begin with. Please, we are not babies to be given such comments by a driver who claims the innocence of Rawlings in the murder of the judges!
