Cool video. I've been to Cambodia three times (2xs flying and once by bus). It's an amazing place and definitely as worth a trip as Thialand and Vietnam are. The food is fantastic while being different and unique from Thai and Vietnamese food. Angkor Wat (and my favorite, Bayonne) should be on everyone's bucket list!
Talk about the safety in Cambodia, you have been mentioned bag grabbing from tuk tuk and pocket picking. You have spent one moth in Cambodia, do you have any experience regarding the bag grabbing and pocket picking ? For me I went to Cambodia a million time and I never ever haven’t have those experiences. I think it’s time for those tourists need to stop bad mouthing about Cambodia and gave Cambodian a bad name. I personally got robbed in a brought day in Bangkok Thailand and you tell me how safe is Thailand?
I met my fiancé in Cambodia . I found the people so friendly and welcoming to foreigners. Use pass ap or similar to get a tuk tuk . I found so many speak English.
1:33 I think you made a small mistake. You say that Cambodia was organized as a colony for 150 years when in fact it was only a colony for little over 90 years, between 1863-1953.
Well, ethics cleansing in Cambodia happened many times over and this still affected a country development as indicated on your video. Hi, 🐥🐦🐥🐦🦩🦩May I share the most important news you will ever hear? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
How long were you visiting Cambodia or learned about the history of Cambodia? You have some valid points but many points are misleading. Pick pocket, or bag grabbing is happening in many cities of developing countries. And you can compare an orange or an apple. Genocide didn’t just happened in the 70s. You didn’t mention the United States war in Southeast Asia, and the secret bombing in Cambodia for years that killed hundreds of thousands, destroyed and destabilized the country that led it into the communist that killed most educated people. And you didn’t mention the invasion of the Vietcong in the late 70s also killed hundreds of thousands of Cambodians and millions displaced internally and hundreds of thousands became refugees.
I'm Cambodian. You're pretty accurate, except about the grabbing/snatching (maybe outdated), but be cautious anyway, because desperate people do desperate things. Secure your belongings while traveling.
Been living here for 5 months now. It’s fantastic. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
wonderful vides that everyone should not miss out

Incredibly helpful video. Hit all the key questions
Thanks you so much
❤❤❤really thankyou for such useful guide.
Glad it was helpful!
I disagree with you on friendliness. Cambodian are as friendly as any of the SE Asian. Just as Canadians are.

What country should I make a guide for next?
This is not a political arena.
Thank you
Cambodia ❤ you

You should redo your thumbnail picture. It’s very disrespectful to be standing on top of a monk like that. Cambodians revere the monks.
Do you understand what behind is?
@@TalesFromTheRoad Ok, if you feel that way.
yes ! we Cambodians do not agree with this picture.
Should take your pic out all together and state some facts not crap you heard from other people!! Did you get scammed or robbed while you there???
@@TalesFromTheRoad Human heads are sacred; feet should not be above someone's head (cultural).
Thanks for informative video. But there is no such thing as a two day Angkor ticket, as far as I know. You can buy one for 1, 3 or 7 days.
Do you need some kind of license to a scooter?
Hey your content is amazing and well made. You must have done in depth research + personal experience.

Totally wrong to say Khmers are less open and friendly than Thai or Vietnamese. It's the opposite.
I noticed they have Buddha on their currency. If there was a picture of Jesus on US currency it would cause outrage to Muslims and atheists.
Buddha on our currency is our Grandfather's King.

Khmer = Ka Mai
This is probably the most inaccurate travel advice I’ve ever seen. Mostly, not all, is not true and misleading.
can you please clarify what's so wrong rather than just making a big statement with ZERO evidence

@@sojeanify Why do I have to believe comments from the most uneducated country in ASEAN?
I thought Angkor was founded in late 9th century AD, making it a medieval city, not ancient.
