From local: just a heads-up if you travel to Cambodia, beware of snatching when you are walking along the road or in the Tuk-tuk, there are still cases happen to visitors and foreigners. While walking, do not show-off your phone and make sure you carry with firm and tight hand, using the backpack is recommended. Purse is not so safe. Also, if you are in the tuk-tuk, make sure you use phone in the safe mode with precaution as some thief just drive the motor and snatch your phone away. Pickpocket is rare. Hope you all have a wonderful trip.

It’s great to hear insights about safety in Cambodia from experienced travelers. What advice would you give to someone visiting Phnom Penh for the first time?
Thanks. My advice is to don’t get upset from all the drivers who are approaching you to get some business. And don’t carry any wallet or phone when you take a massage. Don’t get too drunk or do drugs. Be aware of pickpockets. This all out of precaution but the city is super safe and there is hardly any violence 😊
I was there in 2019 , the one thing that stuck out to me was all the Toyota Prius on the roads there . Because of that maybe driving is the most dangerous activity there .
Cambodia is the best sport right now 2024, Too many Korean/Japanese/Chinese/American and Canadian they bought the property and plan to live there for long term also Mexico and Brazil they are also start moving on too, As a Korean-Cambodian myself I feel Cambodia is better than Seoul TBH, Seoul is pretty much dying after COVID-19 hit and also after the stamped tragedy in Itaewon, Too many people are moving back home and never return.
during my 6 years of living here: 1. my wife's phone was snatched (this is our fault. we gave papayas) 2. my 2 mountain bikes were stolen (parked in the frontyard, locked, tall gate, CCTV) 3. my motorcycle was stolen (parked in the frontyard, chained, tall gate, CCTV) 4. my neighbor's motorcycle was stolen (parked in the frontyard, tall gate, CCTV) 5. I caught a thief jumped the tall gate into my frontyard 6. I caught a thief trying to steal a purse from inside my house using broomstick 7. my daughter's phone was stolen (inside her backpack, carried with her) 8. 5 laptops were stolen from my office (3rd floor) 9. saw snatching attempt 2 times by motorbikes 10. my friends' phones were snatched (3 friends) please tell me, is this better compared to Colombia? as I'm going to move there soon

Just was in Cambodia and had a wonderful time. Phnom Penh is perfectly safe. Just make sure that you do not put your mobile phone in your back pocket. The only time I got robbed was in Amsterdam near Dam Square 20 years ago showing that pickpockets are everywhere.
Ummm i disagree cuz I had a bad experience while traveling in Phnom Penh. A local driver kept pestering me to get on his car saying he'd give me a discount. I agreed and went with two friends but no he didn’t take us to our destination and demanded we pay the full fare before he’d continue as agreed. We refused to pay the full amount and only paid half. The driver got really upset then kicked us off his car immediately…..It was the worst experience of my life. Who said local ppl there are innocent you never visit them.
It’s not a safe place. I’m not coming back again. I got snatched by a local there, luckily my passport and phone were in the other bag. I lost my AirPods and the necklace that my mom bought for me. The police did nothing to them. They kept speaking in their language. Never again for this country.

My country is safe thanks you for sharing video about my country Cambodia i wishing you all good luck God bless you all 🙏😇🙏👏👍🙏🍀🍀💞💚🫶🏵️🌹🌸🥰🌼🍀💞💚🫶
My pleasure 🤗
I live in Cambodia for 15 years...and Cambodia is safe, but in the Capital Phnom Penh just take care your phone a lot of thieves.
my trip to sihanoukville september month 😊
Thanks you chai
Thank you for watching 😁
I have been to the convenient store where you interviewed the German tourist
Welcome to Cambodia 🙏 🇰🇭❤❤❤
Im going to cambodia on May 26 to meet my cousin, its ben 7 years since i went!!
That’s so nice! I’m excited for you 🥰
Cambodia is safe and many places to explore more, most people just listening to rumors too much about Cambodia. Most tourists like read more than they experience themselves. Hopefully, people will come to Cambodia and check it out.
Cambodia is very safe but like any country just be aware of your surroundings
good News Thanks,....
I'm here for reviews 😁
It’s great to hear insights about safety in Cambodia from experienced travelers. What advice would you give to someone visiting Phnom Penh for the first time?
Thanks. My advice is to don’t get upset from all the drivers who are approaching you to get some business. And don’t carry any wallet or phone when you take a massage. Don’t get too drunk or do drugs. Be aware of pickpockets. This all out of precaution but the city is super safe and there is hardly any violence 😊
@@Chai_Travel yeah that happens everywhere in south east Asia haha
I was there in 2019 , the one thing that stuck out to me was all the Toyota Prius on the roads there . Because of that maybe driving is the most dangerous activity there .
😅
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭
I’m Cambodian and I think Every country is safe 😊
Please, safe travel in Myanmar!!
Thank you 😊 I will 🙏
The typical theft like snatches are common like everywhere in the world, but in term of violence its rare
Cambodia is the best sport right now 2024, Too many Korean/Japanese/Chinese/American and Canadian they bought the property and plan to live there for long term also Mexico and Brazil they are also start moving on too, As a Korean-Cambodian myself I feel Cambodia is better than Seoul TBH, Seoul is pretty much dying after COVID-19 hit and also after the stamped tragedy in Itaewon, Too many people are moving back home and never return.
nice
Thank you
❤ especially hearing from a woman’s perspective.
Anywhere not just in Cambodia or the world, always had both areas.
The scariest is Camden in New Jersey of United States
Is that right?
@@Chai_Travel you can google and check it out . One of the most dangerous cities in America
during my 6 years of living here:
1. my wife's phone was snatched (this is our fault. we gave papayas)
2. my 2 mountain bikes were stolen (parked in the frontyard, locked, tall gate, CCTV)
3. my motorcycle was stolen (parked in the frontyard, chained, tall gate, CCTV)
4. my neighbor's motorcycle was stolen (parked in the frontyard, tall gate, CCTV)
5. I caught a thief jumped the tall gate into my frontyard
6. I caught a thief trying to steal a purse from inside my house using broomstick
7. my daughter's phone was stolen (inside her backpack, carried with her)
8. 5 laptops were stolen from my office (3rd floor)
9. saw snatching attempt 2 times by motorbikes
10. my friends' phones were snatched (3 friends)
please tell me, is this better compared to Colombia? as I'm going to move there soon
So you're moving to Cambodia? I'd say the chances are a lot smaller here :)
@@Chai_Travel no, I'm currently living in Cambodia (already 6 years) and will leave soon to Colombia
Wow, a lot of things happened to you 😢 I hope you have better luck in the future
you should move to colombia, you will definitely be much safer there.
move to colombia its good for you.
Brazil is a big country. There some safe places to visit and live... Sure
After 40yrs of Civil War As Cambodian/Khmer ppl, we keep fighting working hard to developing Cambodia 🇰🇭 . First all foreigners took of theirs flight at Thailand or Vietnam… I knew. Especially Thais who can’t accept The mother of Thai cultures was Khmer cultures, complaining Khmer never Stop. And I’m really appreciated for your visiting Traveling and all your foreigners for Cambodia❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💙💙💙💙😁😁😁💐💐💐
Thank you for your appreciation. I really hope we all stop focusing on where cultures and rituals come from and be friendly and nice to each other. I love Thailand and its people as much I love Cambodia 🙏
Been living here in phnom penh for a while now and it's pretty safe especially in the main tourist areas.
But I would just be careful going out at night.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts champ 🏆🙏
❤❤❤❤😮😮😮
I think Thailand is much better than Cambodia.
Whether it is food, transportation, prices, security, entertainment, or environment.
As far as I know, many Cambodians also like to go to Thailand.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙏
Just was in Cambodia and had a wonderful time. Phnom Penh is perfectly safe. Just make sure that you do not put your mobile phone in your back pocket. The only time I got robbed was in Amsterdam near Dam Square 20 years ago showing that pickpockets are everywhere.
That's right! Especially in European tourist destinations you have to be very careful. Thanks for watching
Just not leaving your phone or pagback far from you and not go walking around mind night will be safe in here
Good 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Who are you disagreeing with?
@@Chai_Travel those who say it’s a Super duper safe country.
It’s not a safe place. I’m not coming back again. I got snatched by a local there, luckily my passport and phone were in the other bag. I lost my AirPods and the necklace that my mom bought for me. The police did nothing to them. They kept speaking in their language.
Never again for this country.
Im sorry to hear about your experience. This should never have happened to you 🙏
For me I have never thought come to this country
Siam 😂..? Fake Account ❌
@@ngorntouch5202 What is Siam? And why would I be faking my account? Are you good old man.
@@Chai_Travel Thanks Chai! My mom bought me a new necklace n luckily she wasn't mad at me but more concerned about safety when I was there.
❤
❤️
Cambidia so kind❤
😮my name is Byron Kingsley, am an Aussie for the last 55yrs, seen most of your videos, like you to focus on aged care in Siem Reap, do yhey have any homes, what if foreigners get very sick, what is the criteria for being eligible for health insurance , long stays in a hospital, I have ckd , hypertension, heart murmers, gout, cellulitis etc, what are the conditions in hospital, are there any wards, what about meds, love to have a hollistic view of all the above, I am 81 yrs old/young
😢 let me know soon, looking to retire in Siem Reap.
Cheers/Byron
Hello Sir, thanks for watching my videos 😊 I’m currently I’m not in Cambodia but hopefully I’m able to dive into this on my next visit. I’ve heard that the private hospitals and dental care are great. Though I don’t know about any care homes for elderly. Thanks for saying hi 🙏
"super safe" is maybe an exaggeration... I would say .... fairly safe. If you are distracted or too relaxed, be ready your mobile phone or wallet to disappear... But overall...yes it is safe.
So, how safe is USA? 😅 please explain!
I don’t know mate but Cambodia feels super safe :)
Commander, what are you doing? Ask him, what are you doing? Thank you for this video.
Love you
❤️ thank you
