Phil has developed his voice so much since the original recording of Stone the crow that they really should consider putting a new version on their upcoming album.
I don't get how people complain about the vocals. Even though he has experience and has been singing singing since 13 and all but people need to understand that he's singing A LOT EVERYDAY, you can get tired from singing A LOT. Understand.
Thats why I have asked WHO was complaining. 2006 the vodals were kinda bad...post-surgery... You can feel how glad he is to be back on stage in this version...

I think the vocals are great. In no era has Phil ever been able to scream and transition into singing SEAMLESSLY in a live environment - That's studio shit and should be treated as such. His ability to adjust songs for a live environment, especially in Down this year now that he is sober and clean, is amazing. If you ask me, he sounds better than he ever did before.
Someone wrote that on the Stone the Crow music-video comments as well. But I still dont get it...never stoned the crow...never died before. Could you explain it easier? I'm German you know ;-)
a rickenbaker wood be perfect!! these guys are cool as hell spec bower and kirk never met rex, or talked to phill that much. but bower is way down to earth.
can't fuckin wait till Down IV!!!!!! anselmo is some kind of monster of metal... indistructible! im really glad he has returned to his health and left behind all the shit that kept him in hell.. and to tell that his voice and singing ability are awesome might not be enough

Btw, I've seen Pantera live 6 times, Superjoint live 3 times, and Down live 4 times. His voice is GONE in this clip. There is nothing there. Please, someone tell tell me he had the flu or something at this show? If this is his singing voice now, he's finished. :(

And third, when I was into Pantera music I was minus 10 years younger than you and nothing can change my mind about Phil Anselmo. He was the best front man. I saw down at roskilde festival this year, best concert ever! period. Phil is the definition of awesome.
