The coda is based on a folk dance, well known to Eastern Europe. The vast majority of pianists, being unable to perform the coda technically in the proper speed, choose castrated renditions of it, loosing its tempo and essence. Compare the playing of the great Josef Hofmann from the "golden age of pianism" with some of the castrated "big names", to understand the difference and the damage which the conservatoir "correctness" has brought to the piece. One may argue generally about Mouza's Chopin, but she is actually one of the very few who can truly cope with the coda.
@@AndMakrid Presto con fuoco doesnt mean we all players have to play fast. It is good that if they can play right tempo, but music always needs a point. We cant always play just emotionally or technically. We also need to use our brain a lot when we play piano. Because it is also part of literature... not just a piece from romanticism.
She also made some mistakes on coda part. Because she also couldn't handle with her speed. If so, she doesnt need to rush unless she can control it. But again, judges and people those who knows about classic, we always want to hear and see what the pianist's point on every each sections.
That is a beauty of performance, with deep sence and emotion...It is not Holywood with Lang Wang production...Alexia ist great pianist...

@@AndMakrid that's not true and that's just your own opinion
@@Chic4rely Well, Chopin's opinion is "Presto con fuoco". How do you translate the term yourself?
