That looks like there is some rust on there still. Should hit it with a grinder and grind it off. I would be afraid the rust would be in my food.

The rust oxidized the metal and changed the color of the metal, no need to grind, after re seasoning the griddle it’s back to the normal color

You sure you left it uncovered for it to rust I’ve read reviews that this grill rusts

hi Faith, I did leave it uncovered. I haven't had problems with rust on this griddle, I seasoned it before my first cook and that included the sides and top edge of the griddle. Chef Jason
