I'm not a car person at all and this helped me avoid paying someone else to do what felt like it should be a simple job.
For a Citroen Berlingo 2009 I used these parts from amazon and they were all I needed for the full install I think (Aside from a screwdriver to push the grabby bits on the radio frame to hook in):
    1. Car Aerial Adaptor For Car Radio ISO to DIN
    2. Alpine Electronics Bluetooth Car Radio (The first photo shows it with blue lighting)
    3. Car Radio Removal Tool Key by Keple | DIN Release Keys for FORD: B-Max, C-Max, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Galaxy, KA, Kuga, Maverick, Mondeo, S-Max Head Unit CD Player Pins | Pin Stereo Tools (4pcs)
The only issue is that steering wheel controls won't work with just those 3 items, but I've never used them anyway so all good for me.
And the install was as easy as you made it look, cheers 😀

Little jobs like this that add to your quality of life with the car are so satisfying. The patch cables make life so much easier and as stated below you can probably get the patch cable that allow them after market stereo to work with your existing controls on the steering wheel too. Keep up the content fella!

Hi Danny. Great vid. Inspired me to swap my radio. Struggled a lot getting the plugs out of the old unit, I had to take the back off to release the catches. Your old wiring looks exactly like mine, phew. Two questions though. 1. You did the inverting yellow and red wires described in the manual. I assume this is essential. 2. Like mine your's has more wires connected to the power side than are available in the wiring adaptor, the handbook refers to these as 'numeric control' (?), did you loose any functionality when you installed the radio? I've also gone for a Sony radio, best price with the functionality I'm after.
BTW I also have a fondness for Belingo's but don't treat them as well as you do!
    All the best, Matt

I've just fitted my upgrade, a Sony MEX N7300BD, very similar to yours. The only problem I seem to have is that it retunes every time I use the car and doesn't save stations. Im thinking that the constant live feed and the switched feed are wrong. It maybe needs a constant live to retain the info whereas the old radio- cassette didn't. Im guessing here!

Granted this one needs a few few jobs doing but it is mechanically sound and has 150,000 miles on it, one owner from new and full service history. @@projectfearn my little baby blue 1.6 16v. 2007 done 75000 and its so true it does drive like new. I have owned 42 cars and its one of if not my favourite car. I also think the petrol is the most refined. Its 115hp, peppy, almost silent and so smooth. People are shocked when they ride in it. I did the rear axle on my daughters 206 last year, if it goes on this I will pay to have it done. I am 63 and rolling around on the ground with rust and pure weight of the thing. Once its done its done. It transformed my daughters aged peugeot into a new car😂. I have one issue I can t cureis that on a trailing throttle it sometimes jerks. Take throttle body off clean it in throttle cleaner not just carb cleaner and its gone… for a day or two. Any ideas? With throttle depressed its perfect. Suppose second hand throttle body to eliminate. Petrols are quite rare except for 1.4s. @@projectfearn it is important to fit a converter kit OR create a new lead. The standard connector has data connection from and to the BSI and if you'd plug an aftermarket radio right on there it will eventually destroy the BSI resulting in weird failures and at some point the car won't start anymore.. It's a reason my previous Berlingo went to the scrapyard.
If you can't find a converter kit, make sure the BSI pins are NOT connected to the aftermarket radio. In my current Berlingo i've made a new lead for the aftermarket radio. The original radio is under the floor of the loading space (i've got the van version), connected up to the original plug. After the bad luck with my previous car i wanted to make sure it won't happen again. Original radio does not have an audio lead, just power and BSI. Switched off, so the display will still show time and date. All that because i couldn't find a converter kit, lol.

I would recommend the 2.0 HDi. I've two Berlingo friends - one has the 1.6 engine and he loves it, but the other used to have the 1.6 and had no end of trouble, so changed it for the 2.0. My wife had the 1.6 HDi in her C3 and had no trouble with it, although I blanked the EGR, which many people recommend. I also had the wheezing 1.9D years ago. The 2.0 is a great engine - I've been running mine on 100% biodiesel for four years without a hick-up.

A couple of months ago there was a lady on Gumtree selling her 2.0 HDi 07 plate, only 67K, for £700 because the internal electrics were faulty. She thought it was the 1.9D because the HDi is 1997 cc! I told her she would get much more if she advertised it as the 2.0, which it was. She was dersperate to sell it but I'm in Scotland and she's in Kent, but I now wish I had bought it (I'd have given her a good bit more than the £700). I felt sorry for her - an easy fix too.
