Hello. Don't worry, it won't drain your battery. If you want the bluetooth to stop being powered after you stop the engine, you will have to power it from the lamp bulb in the glove box.
Bloody brilliant mate. Took eight months to get around to it and literally three minutes to do and working without any further issues. Nice one. Thanks.
Great video, really helped me a lot. Only difference was that on my Citroen C4 RD4 radio there was no cable on pin 11 so I used pin 15 instead and it worked. Hope it helps someone. Cheers
Thanks! Very helpful video, installed my bluetooth yesterday following your guide, took about 15-20min (my quick splice didn't worked at first time, i had to took isolation from wires and it worked)
Great video and very instructional. I used your link to purchase and now have functioning bluetooth and can now hands free call using siri on my phone. Also the music playback from my phone through the radio is awesome. However I did have to enable Aux1 using Diagbox. Many thanks Adrian.
Nice video. +12 with key is not pin 11 but the on close to constant +12V (pin 12). Check with voltmeter and radio attached (otherwise there will be different voltage).
Hello. The software is called Diagbox and it only works together with the dedicated OBD module. You can buy the set here, it contains software and the OBD module: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DDoo8O5
Great tutorial, thanks. Is it mandatory to run the Diagbox configuration? I already see the "Input" option in the radio when clicking at "Source" button??
Hi. If you already see "Input" when you press the Source button, the function is activated and you probably have the RCA plug in the glove box. Check it out :)
Thanks for the video. The device it's ok for my Citroen C3 MY 2010, red cable on the yellow, black cable on the yellow/green. DiagBox not necessary in my case the AUX input was already ok. Radio RD4N1 M-03 Continental, you can manage the volume from steering button but the main control is from the phone, I have a Samsung .
Hi Adrian, great video. Is there any way to activate the aux channel without the diagbox? I connected it but it doesnt show up on the radio as an option. Cheers
hey great video i had a few questions so first of all does this change the quality of the original speakers? Do the steering wheel controls still work after installation? and the last one can it be done with all types of suitcase?? thank you very much great video :)
Hello. Do you have the same type of radio? If you have the same kind of radio, you can install and I recommend this bluetooth module: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFOLxuR
Would it be possible to connect as AUX2 without removing the white plug by adding the new module to pins 1, 2 and 7 (AUX2) as shown in the diagram? So I think I could keep AUX1 for calls and steering wheel control with the original Bluetooth (AUX1) and the new module just for transferring music (AUX2).
I know this is an old video now, but in my case there is only one out of the 4 speakers that is working with this.. otherwise on radio/cd everything is fine .. any clues, tips or ideas ?
Hello. The Bluetooth module transmits on left / right stereo channels, so not independently on each channel. It is possible that the bluetooth audio signal send to you radio only one channel (left or right) and that your car has a defective speaker on a certain part. Check from the radio menu, fade and balance each individual speaker.
Hi Adrian. Just to ask, I have a 2010 Citroen C3 Picasso and the stereo does not have Bluetooth. The tutorial is great but do I need to configure the stereo if I fit this. It is a Bosch stereo that comes as standard. Many thanks.
great video! In my citroen c4 I have a problem with enabling the aux function in the diagbox. When I select aux1 - convectional and select telecode, I get an error: wrong telecoding. The best thing about my diagbox is that I can make changes in the car, but if I want to change something on the radio, e.g. the continent, the same error pops up. what could be the reason?
Hello. Have you tried another version of the Diagbox software? What Diagbox version are you using? There is also the possibility that the ability to code something on multimedia is blocked from the factory.
Many thanks Just installed the module and it works great. The only issue I'm having is that Pin 11 was not switched live so currently connected to pin 12 battery which is not ideal. I had a good probe across the entire switch couldnt find a switched live which seems abit odd. Peugeut 407 SE
Thank you, this is a great video! But i have a question, I don't have old 32bit windows notebook anymore, neither windows computer at all to run Diagbox software and don't want to buy this expensive diagnostic module and old computer (compare to pretty cheap bluetooth module itself) just to enable aux option on my car screen, what are my other option for this? Is there a single device diagnostic computer that can do this? Or do I need to find local mechanic that can help me?
Hi. The diagnostic software runs on Virtual Machine, so it also works on Windows 10, 11. I think there are other diagnostic systems that can activate the AUX IN function, but I have not tested them. I think you can go to a local garage for aux activation.
Hello. I have another question. I have connected module as shown in the video and radio and screen above the radio is not working. AC, lights etc. is working ok. I have used splicers like yours, but mine were smaller. Is it possible that the splicer completely cut off ground and +12 V? Would it cause screen stop to work? The bluetooth module can be seen in my phone when the ignition is on, but radio and screen dont work. If you could help me I would be very very grateful.
Hello. 1. You can install a Bluetooth adapter with RCA plugs directly in the RCA plug in the glove box and power it from the lighting lamp in the glove box: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFIZnVP 2. You can install a Bluetooth module with an adapter in the Radio power socket and you will also have a microphone for bluetooth handsfree calls: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFDFV7j If you have already activated the Aux IN function when you press the Source button on your radio, it is no longer necessary to activate it with Diagbox.
I have bought the package @ Ali. Unfortunately my P308 2007 has only a wire at pin12 in the connector. Pin 11 is empty. This means the module will always have power, even when the ignition is turned off. This will drain the battery if you do not use the care for a longer period of tim. ADVICE: If you consider purchasing the device, check if you car audio system used the right connectors first.
Hello. I don't understand the differences betwen the 4 first link in the description. It's 4 items from aliexpress but they are differents ? Complementary ?. I have a citroen C5 2009 without bluetooth and i'd like to put it in. If i buy the first link is it OK ? TY
Hello. Hello. Does your car have two red and white RCA plugs in the glove box? Like this: peugeotpartsdirect.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/unnamed-file.MP3.jpg
This mod with mic + Bluetooth sounds amazing, but where will I answer the calls? Only via phone or there is possibility to insert buttons somewhere in the car, like on the steering wheel, or even better somewhere on the radio?
Hi. My RD4 already has the white plug and a black plug as well, but in my glove box there is no aux input. Do you know why ? Should I change the white plug or the black plug in this case? It's Peugeot 807 2008
Hello. You have part of the wiring that is connected to the radio jack, but you don't have the RCA jack to connect the AUX IN Audio and probably the function is not activated in the Radio either. You must connect the Bluetooth adapter to one of the sockets in which there is a white or black plug.
Hi, thx a lot for this tutorial. Just a question, the module turn off when you turn off the car ? Because when I turn off the car, my smartphone still connected to the bluetooth module and I don't want any problem with my car battery.
Ok, I fix it. On my Citroën C4 2007rd4 .. pin 11 and not pin 12 for the red wire (+) , because bt module is directly connected on the car battery , pin 11 is 12v too but working only when rd4 turn on.

Hello, I have a question. If my Peugeot 308 has two RCA inputs (left and right side) in glove box and I can see "AUX" option in my source menu is it necessary to use Diagbox after installing bluetooth module just like you did in the video?
Hello Adrian, thanks for you video tutorial. I have a question for you about the settings, after I installed a bluetooth module and it works, I don't have the sound. I need to setting my car stereo as you made in tutorial, but I don't know how do that. I did go to meccatronic shop but they say: only citroen affiliates car workshop have the software that can do it. I see you in tutorial did it, can you help me, please?
Hello. Yes, you must activate the AUX IN Function using that Diagbox interface cable. You can do this too if you buy an interface and install the software on your laptop, you can find a link in the description of my video.
I haven't started doing anything yet. I haven't even ordered anything as I'm still at the research stage. My first question is what year model Peugeot 3008 are you demonstrating this on, please? Then you showed having the Bluetooth module permanently powered. What would be the benefit of doing that? And finally, the display screen on my 3008 seems to have only 3 columns for displaying information. If I'm going to add Bluetooth, wouldn't I need an extra column (or something else) in order to configure the Bluetooth connection? If not, why not? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hello. 1. The car I made the video on is a 2008 Peugeot 308. 2. There is no advantage. You can power the bluetooth module from the wire of the radio unit that has + ACC (conditional on turning on the ignition) or you can power it from the + of the illuminated glove box lamp. 3. You just have to configure the radio (using Diagbox Peugeot diagnosis) to accept Aux IN audio.

Hi Adrian. Nice videos. I have a DS3 with the type A screen (simple type) and no bluetooth. What is the easiest and cheapest way to connect a mobile to the car stereo with microphone? Is there a dongle/adaptor or do I have to change the screen and radio together?

@@st.giorgos If the power cord connections are made on the positive wire controlled by the ignition switch you will have no problem discharging the battery. To be sure you have to check the positive wire if it still has current after you stop the engine, use a multimeter. Question: I'm sad to find out that when using Bluetooth this way to play music, I can't control the phone through the steering wheel controls, the same thing with the radio unit controls. I can only skip /pause etcc, directly on my phone. It's annoying for me because I am frequently changing songs... can I enable the steering wheel to control the Bluetooth device? Currently I can play music from my phone via the Input option and by plugging in a 3.5mm jack into my android device. Hello. If I understand correctly, you already have an active AUX IN port, so you can connect the bluetooth module instead of the white plug that is for the AUX cable behind the Radio unit. So, theoretically, you no longer need to activate the AUX port with diagnosis because it already works for you.
Great video my friend!👍🏻 I think I did every step as you showed(did it twice) and connected my phone but I still have a problem in my car where i can not hear anything from the speakers when switching to Aux 2 source. Hi Adrian, i installed plug and play module and after i turn off car i still can connect to bluetooth. Is that ok, does it drain battery? Thanks.
Cheers
Same thing on my P308 with RD4. I discovered that pin 15 is +12V switch so I used it
It happens the same in my Peugeot 308SW. Yellow wire is in pin 15. Pin 11 is empty.
In my Citroen c5 2010 is number 8. Also you need to keep it plugged in the radio to see which cable is the 12v
Trying this now, hope it works !
@@DionisisMaximum98 this is why I couldn’t find my switched 12v thx!

Thanks Adrian, your videos are really helpful; I just installed my module yesterday following your guide.
The Aux1 tip saved my day! Thank you.

Hello. That's great! Your radio already has the Aux IN function activated.
Super Video, hatte mir auch solch ein BT Adapter geholt und mich gewundert dass es nicht funktioniert, wusste nicht dass man den Eingang freischalten muss. Funktioniert super. Danke

Great video and very instructional. I used your link to purchase and now have functioning bluetooth and can now hands free call using siri on my phone. Also the music playback from my phone through the radio is awesome. However I did have to enable Aux1 using Diagbox. Many thanks Adrian.
Quick question, do you need the original citroen diagbox to use manual configs or can 3rd party like 50$ knockoffs work the same?
Nice video. +12 with key is not pin 11 but the on close to constant +12V (pin 12). Check with voltmeter and radio attached (otherwise there will be different voltage).
Exactly. The wire colors were different for me, but the ones you listed are correct (pin 12 for +12, and pin 16 for GND).
Hi there! Thanks for your generosity, what is the software and cable your using?

Hi Adrian, great video.
Is there any way to activate the aux channel without the diagbox? I connected it but it doesnt show up on the radio as an option.

Great video, Question i have a citroen c6 from 2007. is it possible to install this on my radio? and which parts do i have order? thx
Hello. Do you have the same type of radio? If you have the same kind of radio, you can install and I recommend this bluetooth module: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFOLxuR
Hi,Adrian. Can i install bluetooth and aux and include both in the diagnostics.
Because it seems to me that they have two connectors
Hello. I haven't tried to install both at the same time, but I think this can be done.
@@AdrianDragan Thanks for answer.
Nice video, this aux in bluetooth audio won't cancel the hands free bluetooth from origin?
Hello. I think it won't cancel the original bluetooth.
Hi. I haven't tried, but I think you can't go wrong if you try.
Great video, how do you skip tracks, play and pause etc? Do the buttons on the radio unit work for that?
Hi. With this simple Bluetooth mode you can not take a skip or break using the radio buttons, only from the phone you can do this.

Hi Adrian. Just to ask, I have a 2010 Citroen C3 Picasso and the stereo does not have Bluetooth. The tutorial is great but do I need to configure the stereo if I fit this. It is a Bosch stereo that comes as standard. Many thanks.
Hi! Yes, you need to configure the radio to activate the Aux IN function as you see in my clip.
great video!
Have you faced this issue? I am having problem configurating aux1 or aux2.
Many thanks Just installed the module and it works great. The only issue I'm having is that Pin 11 was not switched live so currently connected to pin 12 battery which is not ideal. I had a good probe across the entire switch couldnt find a switched live which seems abit odd. Peugeut 407 SE
Hello. Try to power from the positive wire of the lamp in the glove box.
I did it as in your vid in my 207cc. Unfortunately the tacholights are off now. Has that something to do with the auxconnector?
Oui, vérifier les fusibles
Hello. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but it would be good to check the fuses.
Hello. If neither the radio nor the screen works, it is possible that one of the cables is cut.
@@AdrianDragan Hello, it was te fuse fault.
Great video. My 207 has original aux rca cable in glovebox. Can i just unplug that from radio and plug in bluetooth module without diagbox?
Hello.
1. You can install a Bluetooth adapter with RCA plugs directly in the RCA plug in the glove box and power it from the lighting lamp in the glove box: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFIZnVP
2. You can install a Bluetooth module with an adapter in the Radio power socket and you will also have a microphone for bluetooth handsfree calls: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFDFV7j

When spliced this way will it work when the ignition is off but the radio is switched on from its power button?

Hola. Todavía puede usar los controles del volante y cruise control.
How is the quality of the sound ? Like cd and radio ?
Hello. The audio quality is like a CD, but with a slightly lower volume. Anyway, it's very good.
@@AdrianDragan Merci beaucoup 🌺🌺🌺
Hi, what do you think about sound quality? is it the same? Thanks.
Hello. The sound quality is very good but it is possible that the volume is a bit lower.
I see in the software there is Auxillary input 1 and Auxillary input 2. Does that mean we can install an aux cable (which you removed) and aux bluetooth (which you connected) at the same time?
Theoretically you can also activate AUX IN 2 but the pins are different. Follow the diagram from the link, Part B: diyrepairs4car.blogspot.com/2020/05/peugeot-citroen-rd4-rd43-rd45-wiring.html
Adrian Dragan Thank you for the response. Do you know any audio products sold for AUX INPUT 2? (cable or bluetooth)
@@AdrianDragan Hi,
What about just having both the BlueTooth as well as the AUX cable connected to the same AUX 1 connector ? 🤔😕
Thanks &...
Best Regards,
@@davidbolha I don't know if it's good to combine two sound sources on the same cable.
@@uygar84 I am sorry but I do not know.
Hi! let me know that using the Lexia to programming this bluetooth module to correct using with phone is required or not? how to use this one module without Lexia? Should I just switch my radio to AUX and try to use? (Citroen C5 2005)
Hello. If you already have the AUX function active in your radio, you no longer have to configure with Lexia / Diagbox.
@@AdrianDragan ok, I just connected BT module and will try to find someone who have Lexia. Thank you!
Hello is the step with the Diagbox necessary or will it work with the AUX setting I already got on my 308
Hello. If you already have AUX active in the menu when you press the SOURCE button, the Diagbox step is no longer necessary.
@@AdrianDragan thanks for your answer, I only have aux 2 in my menu, would this work too ? And where’s the difference between aux 1 and aux 2
Hola Adrián muy buen video una consulta ése módulo bluetooth sera compatible con radio Siemens vdo rcd4 12-30 que viene en mi citroen c4 sedan diésel saludos desde Chile
Hola. Sí, es compatible con su radio. Saludos desde Rumania :)
Hi and thanks for the video.
I ordered and installed one myself and configured it on a local dealer.
One thing it that is happening and I don't really know why. When I turn up the volume (level 30) or the bass (level 9) all the way up it disconnects. It also happened to disconnect and I couldn't even connect to it anymore (it didn't show up) and I had to remove it from the socket and put it back in.
Any thoughts on why is this happening?
Hello. I have no idea why this is happening, I think it could be a weak thread connection in the mode, but I'm not sure.
@@AdrianDragan I checked it and there is no thread issue visible. However, I don't mind it that much, but it's inconvenient. Thanks for the response :D
hola buenas , lo he hecho a mi 307 sw y funciona muy bien, muchas gracias, se puede montar a un opel astra 2005, gracias
Hello. I'm sorry, but I don't know if it also works with Opel. However, if it has Audio Aux IN, it should work.
Hi friend, i have a fabric bluetooth module and i use this for a call audio. Can i codding bluetooth for play media audio?
Hello. That bluetooth can only work for calls.
One more question. The screen and radio work, but the screen does not show any changes on the radio: radio station, volume,....
Hello. I don't quite understand what you mean. Did you install the bluetooth module and on the screen you no longer displayed volumes, the name of the radio station?
@@AdrianDragan No, I still don't have any radio response to the screen without any module. On the screen I can now see only the consumption, range, average speed...
And I have all the control of the screen using the lever behind the steering wheel and three buttons on the screen
@@debras.2211 I think your screen needs to be configured to work with the original radio, this can be done using the Diagbox interface. Your car may not have had the original factory radio, so the screen has been set to work without it.
@@AdrianDragan Can a little more detail about digitbox.
Can I do it alone or go to the service?
@@debras.2211 You need this hardware / software interface and some knowledge of what to do: www.aliexpress.com/item/32835110498.html?aff_platform=shareComponent-detail&sk=_ASSIR3&aff_trace_key=91917703c48e41f2be0c143a2f20f4dd-1609275726009-02086-_ASSIR3&terminal_id=d92441f0a7b94ef29dcdfc816a4dd068&tmLog=new_Detail
If you don't know how, it's better to go to a service.
Do you have a video of the unboxing, installation and use of the Diagbox interface/tool you bought in aliexpress to see if it is worth buying?
I don't have unboxing or review video because my interface is very old (about 10 years). I'm thinking of buying a new one and making a video about it and how to use it.
Hello. So does it work well for you now?
@@AdrianDragan yep adrian thanx a lot. I m a little frenchy girl who learn how too upgrade my cabrio. And with your video i ve got now a cool bluetooth module. No cable. Like native option ! I said too to not focus on the color of the positif cable.(you told to connect to the yellow one but i didn t have yellow one but maroon) But focus on the scheeme with the pins. Great tutorial!
Adrian hi,my mfd has only 3 icons in menu, there is no bluetooth icon.
Can i programm it with diagbox or i must buy a new type c mfd like the one you have in the link bellow?
You need to activate the AUX IN option using the Diagbox interface as you see in my clip. The Bluetooth icon will not appear on the screen, so there is no need to change that screen on the dashboard.
Merci bien ! ;-)
Great Video, thank you . But I have a problem with mine, I followed every step in your tutorial, but I don’t have the same color of cable from my cable. So I just connect the black wire of the BT adapter to the cable on pin 16 and the red wire to the one on the pin 11. Did everything right on diagbox, the entry auxiliary number 1 is activated, but when I click on source I get nothing. Can you please help me.
I can finally see the input aux 1, but no BT to connect on. Seems like the adapter is not powered on, But I did connect on the socket, the adapter black wire to the pin 16 and the red one to the pin 11. What did I do wrong, Please Help
@@Babaguidai Hi. Is strange. Try to power the bluetooth module separately from another 12v source. See if after powering it you will find in the list of bluetooth devices in the phone menu.
Adrian Dragan I will try that then
Hi, I have a 2009 C4 picasso with rneg wipnav with rca aux in. I would like to change the rca aux to a bt like in your video. Do you have a pinout description for rneg wipnav?
Does it have the same pinout like the rd4?

Hi. If I'm not mistaken pinout for aux in is identical, you can still use a bluetooth module with RCA connection: www.aliexpress.com/item/32821770160.html?aff_platform=shareComponent-detail&sk=_AN7CU1&aff_trace_key=4b445306f5ff4aedaf24f41b551629cc-1603835577839-07973-_AN7CU1&terminal_id=77944c4ce01745aba668c8702a5739a3&tmLog=new_Detail
@@AdrianDragan Thank you for your answer.
Is the +12V/-12V pinout also the same? :)
@@koppanyagrillokozmary162 Yes, but it's good to check.
Hi. Couldn't you leave the original AUX cable connected and set this bluetooth device as AUX 2 in the diag box? Or is it not possible to have 2 AUX ins with RD4? Thanks!
Hello. You can enable both Aux ports, but the bluetooth module pins are set to Aux 1 only.
Great video - well done. Very detailed and easy to follow!
I have a Peugeot Partner with the RD4N head unit so all should work. Currently I can play music from my phone via the Input option and by plugging in a 3.5mm jack into my android device. By installing the Bluetooth module, I assume this will no longer work (fine) but will the menu option (input) relate to the new Bluetooth module or do I still have to change the canbus settings to include aux (I would get the local dealer to do this rather than buy the software and associated hardware)?
Thank you in anticipation
I note that someone else asked the same question and that your response was that everything should work without a visit to the dealer. Fantastic.
Hello. If I understand correctly, you already have an active AUX IN port, so you can connect the bluetooth module instead of the white plug that is for the AUX cable behind the Radio unit. So, theoretically, you no longer need to activate the AUX port with diagnosis because it already works for you.
@@AdrianDragan all connected and working well. Thank you again.
I have a citroen c4 b7 with a RD510 radio, will this work too?
Hello. I don't know what to tell you because I haven't tested it on RD510.
Great video my friend!👍🏻
I think I did every step as you showed(did it twice) and connected my phone but I still have a problem in my car where i can not hear anything from the speakers when switching to Aux 2 source. The only step I didn't do was the activatin step with the Diagbox because I already had an aux-adapter in place which worked perfectly before I changed it to this bluetooh receiver. When I switch to the radio channels, all the speakers work.
Is it right that in my case it should work from the get go or do I still have to connect a Diagbox and go to the car config to activate something to work?
Sorry if this was already asked but i couldn't find it.
Hello. From what I remember you have to enable Aux 1 with Diagbox. Or change the pins on the bluetooth jack as the wires on the original aux jack are placed. Take a look at the pinout in the picture, it may help: diyrepairs4car.blogspot.com/2020/05/peugeot-citroen-rd4-rd43-rd45-wiring.html
@@AdrianDragan is the quality of the sound good or i should just use my mp3 modilator

Same question for me
Hello, I have a peugot 207 with aux audio source (you can connect trought a RCA wire in glove box) would I still need diagbox to enable it? Thanks
Hello. You no longer need AUX activation if you already see AUX when you press the SOURCE button. You can buy a module that connects directly to your RCA jacks: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DmJoJlf
Hi Adrián, i installed it following the steps of your video and it works great, only problems with pairing but i downloaded an app and it worked. The only problem is that i connected it to pin 12, because i haven't got a pin 11, and it is always on, taking a lot of battery even though the car enters in eco mode. There is another cable that only allows it when the ignition is on or i have to install a switch or something?
Hello. Use a multimeter to find a wire that is powered on the ignition. You can also find a + wire in the light from the glove box that is powered when the ignition is turned on.
@@AdrianDragan thank you very much i found a cable that works with the ignition on, is from the esp button that my car hasn't got it. I connected it and it shuts off when i turn off the car but it pairs with the phone and then gets disconnected, and then connects and disconnects. Could it be that this cable of the esp button hasn't enough power to keep it working properly or something?
I think that cable from ESP has low voltage, I think it is more suitable to supply from a wire of the lamp from the glove box.
@@AdrianDragan i'm gonna change it! Thank you very much!
I connected it to the positive glove box light wire and i think it's working fine!, thank you very much for your help and congratulations for your videos, they help a lot!. Regards from Uruguay
