When james laughs I remember that this is an actual person
Thank you, that is exactly what I have been thinking all this time but could not put my finger on it! He always looks like he's... up to something.
I rarely hear him laugh out loud, he has that smiling laugh that just exhales
I was just thinking this about Romesh
OMG, I actually get what you're saying.
I'm still not convinced
Simon is a mastermind, he got revenge on his two least favourite people in the class
5 year old Simon is cooler than I will ever and have ever been.
If he doesn't live in a hollowed out volcano somewhere now, then I'm going to be very disappointed.
Imagine if that was miniminter
If he did that at 5, what is he like now?
Can't help seeing a 5 year old bearded Frankie Boyle...
i don’t think i’ve ever seen James laugh before- it’s the cutest thing on earth
alessia cara so True.
had to save you from the triple six likes mate
James Acaster is 32 but looks 21.
Michael David wtf he’s 32???!!
Another person to add to the list of people who just don’t age
Lol he does look quite young but also early 30s ain't even old
@@angrymullet-yf4zo he's 34 now
He looks 14
Romesh Rangathan is interesting to me in one way specifically. like he is this, big, brown dude, with the lazy eye, the big full-bearded jaw, and often has this kinda pissed facial expression, but then he laughs and his whole face and voice transforms to a sun rise of human emotion and the world feels like it is in a better place.
boom.
You must have many gf.
Janinho897
Love it.
😂😂😂
Yeah playing up his angry side is part of his comedy, partly because of his look and partly because he's so funny with it, but as soon as you see him with other comedians it becomes clear that he's not an angry guy at all, is very humble, generous to his friends and probably pretty optimistic about people and life.
The dichotomy of it makes him particularly endearing.
I'd like to say your a simp but I simp James so go of sis
James looks like he hasn't slept since he left school
Chad Martial Artist woah come down
Lookd like Romesh sleeps with one eye open.....
Hannah Usher *weed* his high are read asf and his laughing
red
Sarcastic Brit hahahah
The thing I love about this show is that instead of doing ambient/coffee pouring cut away scenes like Seinfeld’s comedians in cars getting coffee- this show has random nonsense like checking for shit in a diaper.
Ah, I know, that's exactly what I've been thinking! This is like a real people version of Seinfeld's show, and therefore, much more funny and relatable.
I don't know what this show is of Seinfeld's, but I imagine it to be very American.
I liked the old man biting into his egg sandwich and the yolk squirting out the other side seemed to freak him out 🤣
@@Bob3D2000 “comedians in cars getting coffee”
So Seinfeld's director has a different idea of aesthetic shots. Doesn't make this "better"
I thought the comments would be angry racists but it's just people thirsty for James Acaster.
that is funny lol
He seems like an idiot, though.
@@AmandaFromWisconsin I've never thought that about him tbh, he gives me more the vibe of appreciating whimsy and silliness rather than of not being smart
Romesh is a Bounty called Jonathan. Is that enough racism for you.
@@stevebradbury7757 i don't own emoj's, but here is where i'd use one with a confused look on it face, cause i didn't understand that at all lol
“Second least favourite” JESUS THAT’S SO COLD.
Savage 5 year olds in that town.
That 5 year old is Psychopath for sure, that's pretty damn calculating for a kid who's barely started calculus 😂
@@psyanide1603 What 5 year old is even barely starting calculus?? They still haven’t grasped addition
Simon is either a CEO or a serial killer now. Or both. He’s definitely both.
The guy who recorded the cutaways is a genius with a keen understanding of the human condition.
i'm low-key in love with james
only low-key?
i am extremely high key in love with james
Emily Procter high key but i didn't wanna seem creepy lmao
awkwardlykerrie i will fight u
Lili Summer I'm high key in love with James. Lol.
let’s talk about:
That EGG
That mother and child nappy situation?
my thoughts exactly!
Its all set up for this so no need!
Better than the episode where she is changing the baby on the table.
@@jasonpatterson8091 I can understand checking if a nappy is full, (lord knows I do that too) but changing it where people eat is just unsanitary. Too far, just too far.
That egg looks goooooood
why is James so awkwardly attractive?
Sam Tank I don’t know. Tell me. 😂
the jawline and charisma does it for me
I have so many weird crushes on comedians, James acaster, lee Mack, Bill harder, John mulaney, Ed gamble- it’s all about the charisma
@@katedavis3233 I discovered that my type is comedians recently, from richard Ayoade and James Acaster to Richard Pryor and Aubrey Plaza.
@@maceymckenzie2654 Exactly.
I'm more concerned that in a restaurant a lady is opening a nappy like it's her wallet
Maybe it is
It’s fake...
It's staged.
@Mia Smith It's pretty obvious. If you watch the other episodes you will see other short scenes.
@Mia Smith Just under the video the is a blue writing: "Romesh: talking to comedians". If you click on it you get all the episodes.
lmao when romish quickly stops laughing when he realises that James wasn't joking when he said he was 17 when he first went into town
everyone's racist just like everyone has smelly armpits. you can't use that as an excuse not to shower
Actually most Asians don't smell. They lack the gene. Funny point
So you're saying clean your racism? (I'm legitimately retarded so I might be whoooshed)
Caine McMahon I thinks he’s saying control your racism and don’t let it get out of hand.
Ireland there’s a gene for smelling? Is that scientifically verifiable?
12000gp
Yep, google it. It’s quite amazing how implicit/explicitly different the races are.
Poor guy just trying to eat his egg sandwich in peace.
I was struck by the nonchalance with which he lost the yolk onto the plate, as if he didn't even notice.
James looks really hot. Working that barely slept look
Is that.. actually attractive tho? or are these two statements entirely unrelated to each other?
Agreed.
glad we're all on the same brain rot as simon amstell
“You’re in credit” I adore James Acaster so much. This video confirmed it.
Love how James always manages to segue into his material
James Acaster is legit the best person on this planet. Just finished listening to his audio book, loved every minute of it.
where can i get it?
What's it called?
It's called 'James Acaster's classic scrapes'
You can get it from any bookstore or on audible
Thank you!
James' smile is just so beautiful
Yes
This is still the most iconic thing to happen to Banbury in the last 400 years literally nothing happens here oh my god
The head on you
Jasmine Altham what school did that even Noah wasn’t that bad and it was the “rough” school
Cameron Wood Ahaha I have a feeling in a discussion on the FB post that lead me here that someone deduced it was Queensway! Don't think it equates to being rough though lol
Jasmine Altham ... The most iconic thing to ever happen to Banbury is that a lad literally held up mc Donald’s with an air rifle lol genuinely happened
I'd heard the story before but hearing him say Banbury, it clicked and became realistic.
I can't get enough of James. He has the most interesting stories.
This was the most needed crossover ever-I love these two.
Love James in this! Seems like his genuine self, no front like I’m most of his appearances, find him more funny this way
don't think i've ever loved a comedian as much as i love james acaster, he totally saved mock the week imo!
These two are my two favorite new gen comedians. I laughed more at them chatting in a greasy spoon than I have most comedies.
"Second least favorite." James Acaster never needs to go on Roast Battle because he's already been burned at the stake.
How is the funniest part of this not the two comedians?
That shot of gravy followed by the woman checking the baby's nappy😆🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who says people cannot be respectful, honest and funny at the same time?
On a side note- that other 5 year old kid was a master manipulator from the start. Probably ended up as an MP now.
I love them genuinely enjoying eachothers company
love seeing James be himself, just shows how genius his stand up persona is. Its literally just him, but... more
I've only seen his stand up persona and always assumed he'd be kind of tense to be around socially, so seeing him calm, smiling and charming kind of blew me away.
@@sh0werp0wer aye makes sense
@@sh0werp0wer yeah a lot of people say he’s actually quiet and serious when he’s not in character. That makes me realize how much effort he puts into his comedy persona
NOOOOO lmao adjoining the shots of the gravy and the baby is too much hahahahah
I love the scenery and the cuts! :-D
Aaaaaand the conversation is brilliant of course...
James' smile is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
Honestly. I’d love an hour of these two haga
Everyone in the comments is telling people to chill and stop getting wound up over this video , and yet I can’t find any triggered comments , all I can find is people commenting telling the triggered commenters to stop leaving triggered comments
I'm just sieng James simps
Isn't that always the case?
It's called "the strawman fallacy", countering an argument that hasn't actually been made to make yourself look good.
@@LordBaktor I agree that it might be the case, but it could also be that after a while, due to dislikes and all, the comments have been buried in a pile of more active comments
@@LordBaktor nope, the shitty comments just got buried, that happens on RUclips because of how the comments section works
I like James even more after watching this. What he said that everyone is racist sometimes and then there are racists...that is so true!
0:19 ... the way my man went iiinn on that egg sandwich tho, like the made sure to get THAT angle right, lol! yoke puring out and shit.
hhH his expression gives me second hand joy
I get the impression that people commented on this clip before they watched it loool
Narsty Nas thought this was me for a second
Seriously the combination of that brown gravy and nappy change can't have been a coincidence
The cutaways deserve their own show
The alien that possessed James has really nailed the human laugh.
"2nd least favourite .... as a 5 year old!"
I had to scroll this far to find a comment that wasn't about racists. Amazing.
James is honestly so endearing
The cutaway at the 3 minute mark is gold.
This would have been an interesting cutaway scene for these two as mice in Cinderella
I once saw someone cheat in parking lot. The other driver yelled "Tim-ay!". I was delighted. I got it. South Park.
Two of the funniest comedians out there.
James will be a legend in Comedy, it's awesome to see him at his beginnings, watching all he does since he started
I love the way James talks and his face expression
There are some people that just have an innocence to them that tells you they're an undoubtedly good person. James is definitely one of those people
Oh, the layers of irony when he says, "It sounds like Beirut." Ha!
3:08 what food is it on the plate? anyone know
Two of my favourite minds together! 🤯
Everyone’s a little bit racist sometimes
Doesn’t mean we go around commuting hate crimes
Look around and you may find
No ones really color blind
*forgets rest*
Where is My Happiness made my day
but some beneift from it more than others
Henry Fung ...dude, I was quoting song lyrics
THANK YOU SO MUCH I WAS SCROLLING UNTIL SOMEONE SAID THIS
@Abacus lmao ok bro...
Romesh has the right mentality about it. It doesn't matter anymore because we all benefit from it.
Not to mention that the Indians have been taking land from their neighbours for centuries. Just because they didn't hop on a boat before colonizing doesn't mean they didn't do it
This is very fun like Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee! These are great interviews!
I wish we had this program here where I live. James and Romesh. It must be hilarious.
1:20 nooo James. Nooo.
"you're in credit" is so apt 😆
Two of my favourite comedians!
These are literally my two favourite people on the planet
I love when the other comedians make Romesh laugh.
Bless James. He’s a sweet boy.
Lol at the escalation of atmospheric restsurant side scenes - from one end to the other. Full food circle.
Gotta love James he's sooo funny haha
Yooo....Romesh's IKEA parking spot anecdote is the perfect analogy for why "reverse racism" isn't a thing.
'Second least favourite'. Class.
I was born in Banbury, though I didn’t go to the school there. Bringing your own towels each day to school was necessary? What the hell lol
I agree with this sentiment so completely. Everyone does dumb stuff sometimes. Doesn't mean you ARE dumb. Einstein probably did dumb stuff. And everyone is racist sometimes. To BE a racist, there needs to be a pattern.
Acaster is objectively more handsome here than any show I've seen him in. Is it the lighting? He seems more at ease.
Simon snaked him hard !🙋😂😂
That’s a classic scrape at the end!
Whats the music at the start? It reminds me of PIL - Poptones
I cant remember personally having a slave... Any of you guys?
Go away
@@thejesusaurus6573 awww that is sad why you be mean?
@@twiisted1072 Can you remember insulting ethnic minorities? Can you remember the murder of Stephen Lawrence? I didn't have a slave, but I've seen shit loads of racism, and I know for a fact that only racists want to shut down discussion about racism!
It's not about is personally as a race in the past we took advantage of minorities and used them to set up the foundations of the society around us while doing literal fucj all to help them
@@eoinm3d224 are you kidding me, who gave these “slaves” technology food shelter and protection? Do you think that we havent done anything for minorities? They get a vote along with every other human. I bet every single one of yous believe the pyramids were built by slaves too. You guys act like it was just minorities that were slaves you forget that anyone who was a peasant was lucky to not be a slave, and were more of less on the same grounds as a slave. But none of your dumb asses would know that.
Although I really dig Acaster Im not sure his philosophy that its somewhat OK to hate a group of people just like that is benefitting to anyone. And they come to an understanding about it which is a bit cringe.. Although Ranganathan seemed to regret his racist views from the past.
tbh I think there is a very distinctive difference between the two. Most of brown/black folks dislike for white people come from a place of hurt, speaking as one myself. On the other hand, white people that hate brown/black people is genuinely bcz they are racist. again he talked about being called "chocolate boy" all these negative experiences, we learn to protect ourselves as we grow up. I also grew up from the mentality bcz it brought me nothing but spite for what was. I liked how easy this conversation was tho, should be like that
I think he's saying it's okay as in it's understandable. Like when you've grown up in a country you consider home and people treat you like an outsider because of the colour of your skin or say racist shit to you when you're a child, I bet it's very easy to grow up with the mentality that white ppl are cruel and you want to stay away. It comes from a place of defending themselves not out of malice. Like obviously being violent and abusive towards anyone is bad and I don't think you can ever fully justify it, but I'll forever be more understanding of ethnic minorities in the UK lashing out in defence of themselves than I will be of ethnically English people with the same behaviour.
‘i one day forget my towel’ 😂😂
On the off chance of getting hate comments I'm firmly in team Romesh here. It's also not fine for a "person of color" to profit from the misery of other people even if they had the same skin tone. It makes no sense that that's a card blanc. Either it's fine for everyone or it's not fine for anyone.
I quote this video every time I let Romesh take a parking space from me and shout racist things at him.
Good content😂 could have uploaded a longer clip though
That was the whole clip with James Acaster, it's only a 30ish minute show with about 4 random people in comedy
Anyone know what school in Banbury he went to?
Why is James this incredible?
0:21 Looks like Rom is sat at the other table like a pixie chatting while the other guy eats his breakfast sandwich.
James is my secret crush!
little miss sunshine Same, I lowkey have a crush on him.
i think you don't fully understand the meaning of the word "secret".
The world's
Wow, damn. James is the only dude I’d ever take a chance on. What a cool guy.
Cheers from Banbury!
Ramesh has one eye that's super baked and one that's sober
210 tear it a little bit
Takes a level of understanding for these two to be comfortable with themselves. See how easy it is to have a convo about race. Most should learn from this
lol, learn what exactly?
@@zbigniewvolkov7952 how not to make a race conversation awkward
only because the white is self hating. ever see browns do the same thing? no
This is brilliant
I’ve been going to that cafe since I was born wow
it's a long way there then wow. i mean, since you were born? one can hope that you'll arrive soon. :P
Both have great points of view and their discussion compliments each others side nicely. I like this. We need more conversations like this.
Lmaoo I love how they've got a guy, who looks as if he came to England during the 'Windrush' Era, just chilling in the foreground.
Monolithic it is the BBC
is the guy eating the egg sandwich, Aston from the Nevermind The Buzzcocks line-ups?
I love the random b-rolls of guy spilling his eggs, mother checking her kid's diapers... lol
Omg I love this james guy he's the realist
I'd like 10 more hours of this conversation please. How delightful 😊
oh no I love james !
The two best comedians around now
