Need a USA bank account, dont have license, passport, no family overseas not planning on traveling no time soon. I have try Wise and payoneer no luck with the both of them
I used an amazon invoice for something shipped to me at my cousin's address as proof of address.

Bank of America in New York Requires you to be a green card holder/citizen….not sure of the other banks.
Not so sure of that because I did mine and a friend also just did theirs and we aren’t citizens or green card holders

Maybe this was only due to covid but when i was setting up my fargo account in 2020 she legit asked me to show her my amazon delivery adress as verification.. easy easy.. in Jamaica u have to know God himself to get an account

I don’t think any is better, it’s just a preference and which ever is closer to you to set up the account. Jmmb however does have cheaper fees

Citibank in Jamaica is for corporations like banks, not the everyday man or business
Its easier for a Jamaican citizen to open a US bank account, than it is for that same Jamaican to open a Jamaican bank account. SMDH.
Only thing different is the reference I think and in some cases American banks too ask for references like place of work.
@@DemetressFairman Not really. I have multiple bank accounts across different providers and never once asked for proof of employment, or references. American banks also don't as for recent tax history, but if a returning resident needs an account, then he or she must provide tax documents from the foreign country of residence. A driver's license should be all you need to set up a bank account.
Quick question: Are you aware of any payment gateways that can be built into websites where the funds from customers will be deposited directly into a Jamaican bank account?

But wouldn't a US bank account make Caribbean nationals liable to the IRA Taxes and extradition if found suspected of... Just asking
The bank where you open the account should have you fill out a Form W-8BEN declaring your non-resident status thereby exempting you from US taxation.

You cannot get a cellphone contract in your name, without a social. You can get prepaid, but with that you don’t need a social or even an address. You get it in any name. You could even say your name is a dog or a cat.😂😂
What’s the benefit of opening an US account in the USA as to opening a US account in any JA bank?
Receiving payment from US companies and also making payments, most US ja accounts only allow saving and if you spend it converts to Ja so you lose value

1:44 Opening a bank account in America doesn’t make any sense if are a tourist with a visa that can be decommissioned by the embassy.
A lot of things in life can be revoked but that doesn’t mean it makes no sense to get them, use them while you can

@juniormarshallhastings723 the bank account is yours you have wire transfer you have the card you can do withdrawals at ATM Internationallly. Just call the bank and tell them your traveling. Revoked visa doesn't affect your bank funds unless your travel to work and you owe taxes and other crazy reasons.
