    Fusion 360 Joints - Confusing or Easy? Vote down below...

      Maybe you can help me - I have a front suspension - the a arms have joints at the frame and at the wheel spindle - 4 joints all rotational - I keep getting a joint conflict when I try to assemble the last joint - I expect the 3 joints to move to allow the last joint to be assembled but it hasn't worked the ways I've tried it

      What about that last joint ?

      Tyler, your video explanation is the best!
      There are some tutorials that are waaaaay too long or too boring, covering too many features into a single video, instead, break them apart into short videos.
      Seriously, I watched many other F360 tutorials, and none of them goes straight to the point, covering so many features within 8 minutes, yay!
      Keep doing the good work, you got the talent to teach! Subscribed!

    excellent comparison Tyler. working in both F360 and F360. the DOF jointing in F360 makes perf sense.

    I did a little bit of moving parts but not enough to be a pro. That was a great lesson.

    Very good video...I have a question...at 1:33..when you hit say animation of the joint...the moving object goes counter closewise...If I want the animation to go clockwise...what I should do ? Thanks

    Nice explanation.
    Would it be better to use Joint Limits or contact sets?

    • @TylerBeckofTECHESPRESSO
      @TylerBeckofTECHESPRESSO  2 года назад +1

      I think joint limits are simpler to solve for Fusion. Contact sets typically require more computation.

    Hello I have a fusion360 question, I have some panels drawn out in AutoCAD and once I move them to fusion the panel size changes… what am I doing wrong??

  • @82edje

    I made the joint, but how you move it ?

    Great video on F360 joints....
    I have designed in SolidWorks since 1998 and Fusion360 since 2017 (just under 6 years). I despise the joints concept compared to mates in SolidWorks. It is simply awful. Maybe someday F360 will offer something similar to SolidWorks mates.
    After 5+ years fiddling with joints.....Autodesk is still telling me: "you just have to get used to it, it's different". I laugh at them. Joints are terrible. Slow. Clumsy.

    how do you use the mouse to move the joints, mine always wants to select something..

    Please how can you move with one component? Every time I want to move a component, it changes the position of the whole assembly. Thx

    • @chadcoady9025
      @chadcoady9025 2 года назад

      You need to ground one of your components. Right click the component in the list and select Ground.

    1:40 what you just did here in 2 seconds (a bit too fast for 8 minute joining video) is what im trying to do in the past 10 minutes and it wont do it, it doesnt join it and the ok button is greyed out, fk f360 so sht, so much easier in sw...
